Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: No Smurfing Allowed

The reason the random bounty task appeared so arbitrarily… was entirely by Nawaki's design.

It was meant to emphasize the word "random," giving Reincarnators the impression that anything could appear in these spontaneous missions.

In the future, if Nawaki needed something done but couldn't act personally, or if it wasn't suitable to issue a full-blown Reincarnator Mission, he could simply push it out as a random bounty.

Of course, to reinforce the perception of true randomness among the Reincarnators, Nawaki would occasionally release utterly meaningless tasks—perfect as a smokescreen to mask real objectives.

So it was no surprise that Madara, encountering a random bounty for the first time, was completely baffled.

After thinking it through, he accepted the mission.

"Secret History of the Shinobi World?"

A flicker of curiosity stirred in Madara's heart. Flying to the moon wasn't difficult for someone of his power.

Whether through Six Paths techniques using the Rinnegan, or simply summoning his fully manifested Susanoo with wings, as long as he had enough chakra, he could ascend endlessly—straight to the moon.

In the Naruto worldview, outer space was, of course, filled with breathable air.

In another timeline, the Hamura branch of the Ōtsutsuki clan lived freely inside the moon, and even Naruto and his team fought against Toneri Ōtsutsuki on the moon's surface—without any protective gear. So yeah… oxygen? Don't worry about it.

Since completing this bounty was no more than a minor effort, Madara didn't mind giving it a try.

He was genuinely curious about what this so-called "Lord God" had to say about the Sage of Six Paths.

When it came to flight—

After a brief pause, Madara chose to summon his Perfect Susanoo.

With a flash of ocular power, a towering, azure-blue giant emerged around him.

Unlike in the One Piece world, Madara's Perfect Susanoo wore an imposing set of armor, with wings sprouting from its back—resembling the mythical creature Tengu.

Technically, Madara could have used his Rinnegan's gravity manipulation abilities to fly, but they were nowhere near as agile as this.

With a mighty flap, the blue giant launched upward like a great bird, soaring straight into the sky.

Under Madara's control, he aimed directly for the azure heavens.

Watching this unfold, Black Zetsu was dumbfounded.

"Wait, what is he doing—flying to the moon?!"

A deep sense of unease bubbled up instinctively within him.

---

Meanwhile, Nawaki watched the rapidly ascending figure from afar, and felt completely reassured.

Locked in.

The so-called "Secret History of the Shinobi World" was a text scroll he compiled using the Lord God's recording functions—documenting portions of the world's history, including the complicated entanglements of the Ōtsutsuki clan, from his own memories of Naruto canon.

He made sure that once Madara read it, the man would piece together the truth behind everything and uncover Black Zetsu's scheme.

Of course, even if the scroll's content was entirely factual…

…someone like Madara would never blindly trust something handed to him by the Lord God.

The more likely outcome was that he'd test the scroll's claims himself.

And once he discovered he'd been deceived by Black Zetsu for most of his life… he'd probably go berserk, hunt him down, and beat the truth out of him.

A tragic fate awaited poor Black Zetsu.

Since the moon was far beyond the reach of space-time ninjutsu, even though Madara could fly, it would still take about a day to reach it.

During that time, Nawaki wasn't about to sit around and watch a moon landing stream.

Opening his eyes, Nawaki exited the mind's eye.

He was currently seated cross-legged in the tearoom of his home. On the table before him was a steaming cup of freshly brewed tea, releasing a gentle spiritual fragrance.

"Immortal spirit tea from a cultivation world… rich aroma, melts in your mouth—truly brimming with spiritual essence."

Taking a delicate sip, Nawaki smiled contentedly.

As the Lord God, and now with a generous store of points, it was only natural to indulge a little.

That said, Nawaki had started developing frugal tendencies. Of all the luxurious items available, he'd only exchanged a few spirit-infused teas, spending just a few hundred points.

Well, once he accumulated more points later on, his quality of life could improve as well.

No rush for now.

"Speaking of which… Minato and Kushina are really taking their time…"

Setting down his teacup, Nawaki glanced toward the doorway with a chuckle.

Almost as if on cue, a series of rapid knocks rang out. As he opened the door, he was greeted by a familiar head of fiery red hair—Kushina—and the gleaming blonde hair of Minato. The two stood just outside his tearoom.

"Big Brother Nawaki!"

"Come inside. We'll talk there."

Before Kushina could say another word, Nawaki cut her off and waved them inside.

Once both were seated and the soundproofing barrier was set up, Nawaki smiled at them.

"So… you're here about forming a party, right?"

Sure enough, Kushina and Minato had come straight over after completing their mission and taking a brief rest. Their goal: form a team.

Kushina began recounting her most recent mission, ending with a concerned expression.

"Big Brother Nawaki, I think we really should stick together for future reincarnator missions. If we're randomly assigned to unfamiliar teammates again, there's a real risk of conflict… We could fail the mission entirely."

Minato nodded in agreement.

Smart girl. Knew you'd try to rope me in eventually.

Nawaki smiled faintly and nodded.

"Exactly. Familiar, trustworthy teammates provide far more support in a Reincarnator Mission than total strangers. And since the max team size is three, let's exchange for the team contracts and make it official."

"Mm!"

Kushina nodded eagerly and whipped out a contract scroll—clearly, she'd come prepared.

Minato also didn't hesitate to spend 500 points for his own.

The three contracts were laid out side by side. A drop of blood from each fingertip fell onto the parchment, igniting a brilliant red flame that symbolized a successful pact.

However, just as the trio was about to finalize their team formation…

A cold mechanical voice echoed in Kushina and Minato's minds:

[Reincarnators with more than one tier of strength difference cannot form a team. Nawaki is ranked B+, which exceeds the others by one tier. Team formation failed. Contracts will not be refunded.]

[Team formation between Kushina and Minato succeeded.]

"...Team formation failed?! How!?"

Kushina looked utterly stunned.

Silence fell over the tearoom for a moment. Nawaki gave a helpless smile.

"Looks like the Lord God doesn't allow teams with large strength gaps."

Minato quickly accepted the outcome. Though a little disappointed, he nodded and replied earnestly.

"Big Brother Nawaki, looks like we can't team up for now. But maybe it's for the best. With how far apart our strengths are, we'd probably just drag you down and get in your way…"

Nawaki looked at the two with a mixture of amusement and resignation—unsure how to comfort them.
