Living together sounded romantic… until Aiden realized Sion thought of "cohabitation" as "clinging 24/7."
This morning started as usual: Aiden tried to brush his teeth—Sion rested his chin on his shoulder.
"You smell like mint," Sion whispered, eyes drooping sleepily.
"I'm brushing my teeth," Aiden replied dryly.
"So romantic."
Aiden spit out his toothpaste with a sigh.
After breakfast (half of which Sion stole straight from Aiden's plate), Aiden decided to do laundry. That was his first mistake.
The moment Aiden leaned down to load clothes into the washing machine, Sion appeared behind him like a shadow.
"You're ignoring me."
"I'm doing laundry."
Sion crouched beside him. "You love the washing machine more than me?"
"I love cleanliness."
"That's cold."
To make matters worse, Sion reached into the laundry basket, grabbed a pair of Aiden's shorts, and sniffed them.
"Sion!" Aiden lunged at him, cheeks burning. "You psycho!"
"They smell like home," Sion said, deadpan, while dodging Aiden's hand like a trained ninja.
Later, when Aiden was finally working on his laptop, a message notification pinged. It was from Nova.
Nova: "Hey, Aiden, remember to send me that recipe!"
Sion, who had been lying half-naked on the floor and pretending to die of loneliness, suddenly came back to life.
"Who's Nova?" Sion asked sweetly.
"A friend—stop trying to peek at my screen."
"A friend who asks for recipes? What's next? Matching aprons?"
"Sion—"
Sion crawled toward Aiden's chair and popped his head onto Aiden's lap.
"You're cheating on me emotionally."
"I swear I'm going to put you in the laundry next time."
"Oh no. More time with your clothes? Don't threaten me with paradise."
At night, Aiden was cooking dinner when Sion slinked into the kitchen wearing only his towel.
"Why?" Aiden asked, eyes narrowed.
"I'm hot."
"You have an entire wardrobe."
"But I need attention," Sion pouted, inching closer. "And love. And kisses."
Aiden flicked a carrot at him.
"Kisses after dinner."
Sion sulked dramatically against the fridge. "He's feeding me carrots. Like a pet."
After dinner, Sion dragged Aiden to the couch, claiming that "Digesting while cuddling is scientifically proven."
In the soft glow of the living room, Aiden rested his head on Sion's chest, sighing deeply.
"You're like a clingy oversized cat."
"I'll take that as love," Sion murmured, wrapping his arms tighter around him. "You're my human."
Aiden smiled into his chest. "My emotionally unstable CEO cat."
"Meow."
