It had been a full week since their last steamy night, and Aiden had finally started to settle back into his usual office routine. That morning, he arrived at his desk to find an envelope with the company's seal on it.
Curious, he opened it and scanned the contents.
Promotion Letter.
His eyes widened. It was an invitation to transfer to one of the company's biggest branches—in another city. A huge opportunity. Aiden's heart raced with excitement, but even before finishing the letter, he picked up his phone and dialed the one person whose opinion he suddenly wanted more than anyone else's.
"Sion?"
"Hm?" came the familiar lazy voice on the other end.
"I got offered a promotion. A transfer to the big city branch. Can I go?"
"No," Sion replied instantly.
"What? Why not?"
"I don't know," Sion replied, clearly sulking. "But you're not going anywhere I can't follow."
Aiden sighed. "Then what do I tell the manager?"
"Tell him," Sion said without missing a beat, "your hubby didn't allow it."
Aiden choked. "My hubby?!"
"Yes," Sion said proudly. "Me. I'm your hubby."
And with that, the call ended, leaving Aiden half amused, half exasperated.

Later that afternoon, a formal meeting was held in the conference room. Sion was there, seated like a bored king at the end of the table. Beside him sat his father, the manager, PA, secretary… and Aiden.
As the manager brought up the topic of the branch transfer, all eyes turned to Aiden.
He cleared his throat. "Thank you for the opportunity, but… I've decided not to accept."
"Why?" the manager asked, eyebrows raised.
Aiden hesitated, but then said plainly, "Because… my hubby said no."
Sion, who had been sipping his coffee, choked violently. He wasn't expecting that.
Across the table, his father's expression darkened. "Everyone. Leave. Now."
People scrambled to exit. Aiden started to rise too, but the older man's voice stopped him.
"Not you. Or you," he added, glaring at his son.
Sion turned to leave anyway.
"Sit down," his father ordered. "We need to talk."
Grumbling, Sion sat—at the farthest chair from his father. That didn't help. The man got up, walked over, and yanked his ear like he was still a teenager.
"Ow! Dad!"
"What are you doing with this boy, huh? If you're not going to leave him alone, then go live with him properly."
Sion's eyes lit up. "Really?"
"No! I was joking! You still have to manage things here."
"Why are you like this?" Sion whined dramatically, rubbing his ear.
Then the older man turned to Aiden. His voice softened.
"You should go, Aiden. Not everyone gets such a chance."
With that, he left the room.
Sion scowled. "So… you're leaving?"
"I didn't say yes yet."
"You don't love me anymore," Sion sulked, pulling Aiden suddenly into his lap.
"Hey—! We're in the office!"
"I don't care," Sion said with a pout, leaning in for a kiss.
Just as their lips were about to meet, the door swung open.
Sion's secretary froze at the doorway, stunned.
"I didn't see anything!" she yelped, then spun on her heel and fled.
Aiden slapped Sion's shoulder. "Seriously?"
"What? You were the one who called me your hubby in public," Sion teased, his grin wicked.
"I'll go home on my own," Aiden said, standing.
Sion leaned back in his chair, arms folded. "We'll see about that."
