The days at the Butterfly Mansion passed with a strange mix of peace and the usual bustle of a demon slayer hospital. While Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke recovered from their injuries with Kanao and the girls' training regimen, Gojo Satoru observed and analyzed.
His Anomaly Locating Amulet was already giving him fascinating readings. The demonic energy was not only dense in certain spots, but there was a unique energy signature radiating from Muzan Kibutsuji, detectable even at great distances.
This signature, Gojo sensed, was not only the result of a great concentration of power, but was also a catalyst for the dimensional anomaly. It was as if Muzan, unknowingly, was a vanishing point, a living rift through which the cursed energy of his own world seeped and transformed into demonic energy in this one.
Meanwhile, the Pillars' curiosity about Gojo only increased. Shinobu, ever analytical, kept asking him subtle questions, trying to understand his power. Other Pillars made an appearance, drawn by rumors of an "anomalous" being in the Butterfly Mansion.
Giyuu Tomioka, the Water Pillar, remained distant, observing Gojo with his usual stoicism. His aura was powerful and melancholic, but Gojo felt a deep connection with his "Water Breathing," which resonated with a purity of will.
Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Pillar, was an explosion of rage and distrust. "Who is this guy?! And why is he in the Butterfly Mansion without a proper explanation! He smells like a demon, but he isn't!" He tried to attack Gojo with his sword, but the sorcerer's Infinity stopped him effortlessly, leaving Sanemi frustrated and bewildered.
Gojo, however, remained unfazed. He used his time to "observe" the young hunters' rehabilitation training, occasionally offering cryptic advice.
"Tanjiro, your 'Water Breathing' is good, but too rigid," Gojo said one day, while Tanjiro was practicing his forms. "Water is fluid, yes, but it's also adaptable. If you let your will guide the water, it can be as solid as a wall or as penetrating as a drop piercing a rock. Don't just imitate water; be the water."
Tanjiro blinked, pondering Gojo's words. His training improved markedly.
To Zenitsu, who was fainting from fear at the thought of training, Gojo whispered. "Your fear is a weapon, not a weakness. When you faint, your body reacts on pure instinct. That is your true strength. Learn to use it consciously, not unconsciously. And remember, not all monsters are demons."
The comment left Zenitsu even more terrified, but strangely more aware of his reflexes.
Inosuke, for his part, refused to listen; he only wanted to fight Gojo. The sorcerer, for his own amusement, sometimes allowed himself to be "hit" by Inosuke, only for him to crash into the Infinite and bounce comically off. "Your fighting spirit is admirable, boar boy. But strength uncontrolled is only chaos. Learn to direct your anger, not let it direct you."
Meanwhile, Gojo delved deeper into his own investigations. Using his Six Eyes and the Locating Amulet, he began mapping the distribution of the Upper Moons. He sensed their energy, their power, and the stronger connection they had with Muzan's signature.
So these 'Moons' are the deputies of the demon king, Gojo thought. And they seem to have an even higher concentration of that anomalous energy. It's almost as if they've absorbed the dimensional leaks and integrated them into their own existence. This is more complex than simply eliminating them one by one. I have to shut down the source.
Gojo knew that the key to "stabilizing the universe" and completing his mission was to find Muzan Kibutsuji and the dimensional rift he was inadvertently causing or catalyzing.
