"Thankfully, at least Yoji Aburame wasn't able to use his Kōchū insects in my chakra pathways," Shisui expressed, lying on his bed in the bedroom. "Haa, I wouldn't have to worry much if only my Kotoamatsukami didn't have a decade-long cooldown. Even if it were half a year or even a year, things would be much better."
Shisui had been pondering his current situation for quite some time, now that his mind was somewhat at ease. While Danzo presented an immediate problem that Kotoamatsukami could resolve, his Mangekyō Sharingan ability, considering both eyes, allowed only two uses per decade. Perhaps his visual prowess was still weak, or his youth—at only 16—contributed to this extended cooldown.
"In the anime, Danzo managed to reduce this cooldown to months or maybe even weeks, the reason being Hashirama's cells, which improve the ocular power of my right eye," Shisui remarked. "Well, there are other methods to reduce the duration, but currently, I neither have enough time nor should I waste it on such things." After an hour of continuous thought on how to manage the current situation, evening had descended upon Konoha, with the sun setting behind the clouds. He rose from his bed, shifting his thoughts. "Let's consider my current skill set. I am obviously a Kage-level shinobi with my Mangekyō, even setting aside Kotoamatsukami. Susanoo is also a very powerful ability, even if I can only use it in its half-humanoid form."
He sighed, then thought, "But Mangekyō also comes with the cost of blindness. Note to self—I need to address this blindness issue later, after this situation is over." He continued, "Even without Susanoo, with just three tomoe level and my other skills, I am easily a Jonin or even an Elite Jonin-level shinobi. His assumptions were not solely based on his anime knowledge; they also stemmed from Shisui's own memories, which he now possessed, revealing that Shisui had a few Wind and Lightning Release Ninjutsu in his arsenal, in addition to Fire Release and Genjutsu.
"And I shouldn't forget about the Body Flicker Technique, which is literally like a Teleportation Jutsu in my hands," Shisui stated, a small smile touching his lips. After all the frustration of his difficult situation, he was finally gaining confidence that he could handle it, armed with his strength and knowledge. "Plus, I also have quite good Shurikenjutsu techniques and Kenjutsu skills," he thought, now with more ease in his voice. "Well, I am at least not weak; my chakra reserves are also good if not high, and I didn't even need to start from learning basics. I am literally transmigrated into a formidable shinobi."

Since I'm in Konoha, I should definitely try Ichiraku Ramen of Teuchi. Even though the original Shisui has eaten there, I want to taste it myself."
Just as he was thinking of dinner, momentarily forgetting about the Uchiha's coup plans and the mission Hiruzen had assigned him, an Uchiha in the attire of Konoha's Military Police Force approached. "Shisui, Fugaku-sama has asked for you at the Naka Shrine for a clandestine meeting." The Uchiha reported. Shisui nodded in response, saying with his natural smile, "Alright, I'm coming, Ren-san." Ren Uchiha nodded and vanished swiftly.
"Dinner is later; now I have to focus on my broken plan," he sighed slightly. "Well, if Konoha suffers greatly because of this conflict, that's on them; they deserve it, actually. Shisui always tried to make peace between both sides, he was a pacifist but I will not waste time like that and will urge the Uchiha to launch their coup plan."
As Shisui moved towards the Naka Shrine, in the underground facility beneath Konoha—the Root Base—Danzo sat on his chair, his right eye covered in a bandage, wearing a disappointed expression. The atmosphere in the Root Base was oppressive and cold. In front of him, two figures knelt, both wearing glasses and black attire with arm wraps and blank white masks adorned with black patterns, short swords wrapped behind their backs. Yoji was the first to speak, "Forgive me, lord danzo, I failed to affect Shisui with my Kōchū; he directly went to—"
"USELESS! YOU ARE USELESS!" Danzo slammed his right hand on the table and shouted, cutting Yoji Aburame off. Sweat streamed down Yoji's back and head, scared that Danzo might attack him.
"Forgive us for disappointing you, lord danzo," Torune Aburame interjected, attempting to ease some of Yoji's tension. "Shisui moved directly to the Uchiha Compound without wasting any time; we didn't get a chance to use our insects on him."
Danzo snorted in response. "Hmph, excuses. I should have had those eyes today." He paused before speaking again. "From what I know about Shisui Uchiha, he isn't a person who can takes direct actions. It's highly unlikely he would be able to use Kotoamatsukami on Fugaku that easily." Silence descended upon the room for a few minutes before Danzo spoke once again, his voice deep and grim. "Shisui is not deserving of such power. He might even try to use that power on me or on Hiruzen, who knows. He has to be eliminated."
Danzo's visible eye narrowed dangerously at the two Aburame Clan members. "I am sure Shisui wouldn't be able to cast Kotoamatsukami on Fugaku today. And Uchiha Clan is a lost cause; they are a danger to the village," he huffed lightly. "Hiruzen's passive approach is useless. Only I can restore Konoha to its glorious period, and for that, those eyes of Shisui must be mine." Torune and Yoji remained silent until Danzo finished speaking. Silence once again filled the room before Danzo outlined his plan for Shisui. "Tomorrow, send a messenger from Root to tell Shisui that I ask him for a meeting, and the location will be the outskirts of the village." Danzo instructed both Aburames.
"When he reaches the location, you will use your insects to infect him with poison, and after it takes effect, we will ambush him," Danzo's eye narrowed dangerously at them once more. "Make sure there are no mistakes this time." Torune and Yoji nodded, speaking in unison, "Yes, Danzo-sama!" With that, he signaled them to leave, and they vanished in a blink of an eye. Once Danzo was alone, sitting on his chair, which was similar in appearance to the Hokage's office chair, a small, creepy smile touched his old lips.
"Tomorrow, that pair of Sharingan will be mine. With them, I will dispose of Hiruzen and become Hokage," he mumbled. "Hiruzen, you are getting old. I will give you a long retirement. Only I am deserving of the position of Hokage."
