Chapter 1 - CHAPTER ONE

He yelled out in pain as my fist connected with a sickening crunch on his nose.

"Please stop, I'm begging you." He whimpered, his eyes wide with terror.

"I'll stop when you tell me who you sold our shipments information to." I said, my voice low and menacing. "My men tell me you don't want to talk to them, so I thought if I try to talk to you, you would say something worthwhile."

"I don't know anything boss!" He cried out.

I aimed for his nose again, blood spraying across the concrete floor.

"Wrong answer, Jeff. I'm going to make you pay for getting my hands dirty over a sleazeball like you."

Bloddy tears streamed down his face. "Please!"

"Who did you sell our shipment information to?"

He placed a protective hand over his head. "I swear I don't know who it was. He wouldn't tell me his name, he said it was for safety."

"Cause he knew an empty headed fool like you would get caught." I kicked him on his ribs, and placed my foot on his head, pushing my weight on him. "Did you actually think you wouldn't have been caught?"

He wiggled beneath the sole of my shoe, his hands trying to push my foot off.

I signaled for a gun. "Stealing I might forgive, but betrayal?" I shook my head and aimed for his chest. "I'll kill anyone who would betray me, slowly and painfully."

"Please, have mercy!" He cried, his voice raspy.

A loud bang echoed around the room and his cries fell silent immediately. Mercy equaled weakness, and from the position I stood, weakness meant death.

"Adonis." Viktor called out.

I turned to look at him and the slight nod of his head told me he had found out something worthwhile.

I handed the gun back to one of my men. "Use him as an example to any idiot that thinks they can sell me out to my enemies and get away with it."

"Yes sir!" They all said in unison.

I walked out of the warehouse, Viktor and my guards trailing behind.

"So what did you find out?" I asked once we got into the car.

He looked at me from the rearview mirror. "You aren't going to like it."

"Show me." I commanded.

He handed me a tablet. "This was from a two days ago, a hotel two minutes from the mall."

I curled my hand into a fist. "She had visited the mall two days ago. Who did she go to see?"

Viktor turned to look at me, concern clear on his face. "It's Alex."

My grip on the tablet tightened. "What?"

I glanced back to the unplayed video displayed before me. I wasn't sure if I wanted to see this, sure if I wanted to believe but everything was always so blurred when it came to Summer.

I tapped on the play button and there was Summer sprawled on a large bed with a lingerie on, it was a red lace that left nothing to the imagination.

"I saw this pretty little thing at the mall, and I thought you'd help me pick which one looks better on me." She slurred, a seductive smile on her face.

"Everything looks better on you, my love." A male's voice said from the other side of the room.

She tapped on the bed. "You should take a closer look."

The man emerged from the blindside of the camera, and standing before my wife in nothing but a robe was my cousin, my only family, with a disgusting smirk on his face.

I watched as he mounted her and she screamed his name over and over again. When I couldn't take it anymore I turned it off and threw the tablet to the side in disgust.

The car remained silent and the only thing that could be heard was my heavy breathing.

"Viktor." I said sharply. "Find me Alex now, I don't care if he's beaten to pulp, as long as he is still alive." I gritted through my teeth.

"Yes sir. Where do you want me to take you?"

"Take me home." The word sounded bitter in my mouth as the video of Alex and Summer replayed over and over in my head.

She was home, playing out in the garden with our two year old son. I watched from afar as she chased him around, her curly brown hair bouncing freely off her shoulders.

"I'm going to catch you, Thanasis!" She yelled.

"No!" He squealed, trying his best to escape from her grasp but he couldn't. She caught him and held him up in the air, their laughter ringing through the entire garden.

How long had the affair been going on under my nose? The family dinners, the weekends Alex came to stay over, the times I was away on long trips.

I fisted my hand, my knuckles still sore from earlier. Alex betrayed me, She betrayed me! I'll make her pay, I'll make her….

She caught sight of me and her smile widened, her painfully beautiful smile.

My heart did a somersault while my mind cursed me for it.

"Look who's here, it's daddy!" She beamed.

Thanasis glanced towards my direction and immediately came running over. He stumbled on a tree branch but still came running.

"Daddy!" He fell into my arms.

I stood him upright. "Hello soldier."

"Sir!" He did a wobbly salute.

Summer giggled from behind him. "He had been practicing that all day, you've got to give him credit for that."

My jaw tightened but I maintained my smile at Thanasis. "Good job soldier, now go drink some water, remember you have to stay hydrated to rule your subordinates."

"Yes sir!" He did another wobbly salute before he ran towards the house.

"Be careful so you don't fall!" She looked back at me. "The way he instantly obeys you is envious."

My shoulders tensed as she touched me.

"I missed you." She tried to kiss me but I pushed her away gently.

"We need to talk." I said, the warmth in my voice gone.

She furrowed her eyebrows at me. "Is something wrong?"

"Let's go to the study." I headed towards the house leaving her where she stood.

"Are you going to tell me what's going on?" She was seated on the leather chair in front of my desk, her hands folded across her chest.

I stood quietly at the fireplace, my gaze not leaving the burning flames. The flames were the direct opposite to my piercing blue eyes but neither was it as hot as the anger and hurt flooding in my veins.

I cleared my throat before looking back at her, my gaze cold. "Where else did you go to apart from the mall two days ago?"

Her body tensed and her eyes flickered in surprise, she immediately covered it up but I had seen it and I hated that I did.

"Nowhere, I went to the mall and then I came back. Where is this question coming from Adonis?"

"You spent over three hours at the mall."

She rolled her eyes. "And that is supposed to be a suprise to you? I've spent half a day at the mall before."

I moved closer to her, my hands itching to grab her throat. "Half a day fucking my cousin?"

"What?" She gasped.
