Selene's POV
"Alpha Levi." The guard that had been holding me mustered up snapping him from a trance.
He got up from his chair by the window his eyes never leaving my own until he was standing inches away. Only when he got closer his eyes intensified but with no other emotion besides anger.
"Leave us." Was all he spoke finally breaking eye contact with me to look at his guard.
"Alpha.. This girl is da-" his sentence getting cut off by Levi
"I said leave us and.." The rest of his sentence getting cut off because I could no longer take hearing his voice all I could hear was the rapid beating of my heart in my ears.
My mate is the alpha of the 2nd best pack in the country. Good one. I thought speaking to the mood goddess I was snapped from my thoughts by someone gripping my arm but this grip was filled with tingles and sparks shooting everywhere I looked up to see Levi gripping my bicep.
He pulled me along with him before he threw me down into a chair placed in front of his dark and faded desk sitting in his office He sat back in his original seat by the Window but still faced me his eyes scanning up and down my body judging everything about me Lust filled and angered.
"Are you crazy?" I didn't know if this was a genuine question or if he was being sarcastic so I kept my mouth closed something that rarely happened.
"I mean killing your own kind only someone who's mentally ill would think about something like that." His gaze holding mines with such anger you would think his wolf was in control.
His insults hurt they cut so deep making me feel so little of myself. I was never one to care about what anyone said most people said that I kill because my mate died, false. Others say that I kill cause my pack was taken down by rouges so I hold a hate for all, false. Everyone assumed everything but no one ever knew the real reason.
"I don't understand you-" the rest of his sentence getting cut off because someone walked into the
room.
"Alpha." The familiar voice rang in my ears and I took alot not to rip out his throat.
"Talo come and take a seat." He gestured to the chair inches away from mines.
Seconds later Talo was sitting next to me I could feel his gaze on me and I knew he could scenes my anger and urge to compose myself yet he had the audacity to sit down right next to me.
"Selene." Levi called out to me and I snapped my head up the way my name rolled of his tongue sounding passionate with his fading accent I was also curious as to why he knew my name.
"So that is your name." He spoke more to himself then anyone else.
"Would I lie to you alpha?" Talo questioned a smirk in his voice and I gripped the chair arm harder my knuckles turning white and I ignored the pain shooting from my hands.
"So Selene." He smiled about before going back to his hard stares "why do you hate wolves considering you are one?" A hint of sarcasm held his voice but beyond that pure curiosity.
I stared at his face blankly. I would pretend to be mute before I answer that question.
"Since you won't speak I'll ask Talo I mean if your partners for 3 years I'm pretty sure he knows." He smirked turning his attention to Talo.
"Well it all started on precious little Selene's 10th birthday-" I cut him off myself.
"Don't." I snapped my gaze from Levi and stared at Talo watching different emotions flash across his face. One prominent then the other FEAR
"Well you do talk." Levi spoke making me look to him again. "Well continue Talo." His gestured waving me off.
"If I Remember correctly her mom and dad were workaholics who never made time for their needy pup.." Before I even knew what I was doing I was out of my chair and somehow I managed to grab a pencil it wasn't much but it'd do damage.
"Never stop fighting." My grandpas voice rang in my ears and I was on top of Talo with the pencil gripped In my hand as if it was a knife now. I think he could loose his vision I thought to myself before using all the strength I had left in me to try and Stab him in the face.
"I'm stronger than you Selene." He spat his words at me knowing how defeated I feel.
I felt huge muscular arms wrap around my arms pinning them to the side of me I knew who they belong to due to the Sparks but I ignored them they subsided the anger I felt but not enough to make me wanna stop.
"Let go of me!" I screamed trying to break out of his hold but it seemed merely impossible.
"You crazy slut!" Talo shouted at me from across the room and I heard a deep throaty growl from
Levi second later two tall muscular men walked towards me with a needle in hand.
"You haven't seen crazy!" I shouted back at him still trying to get away.
"Calm down now!" Levi whispered harshly in my ears but I was too fumed on the kill to try and do what he said.
"Let me handle it." My wolf spoke eager but I knew I couldn't.
Why so you could follow your mates orders and act all innocent and submissive SCREW YOU! I shouted at her feeling the pain I caused and she retreated back into the depth of my mind.
"Control yourself little one." Levi whispered again and this time I had no choice the needle pierced my skin and I felt the liquid rush through my body shutting down all my urges to fight and making me tired my eyes felt heavy as I tried to hold them up and I fell unconscious into Levi muscular arms.
