Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The Power of Skills Is Out of This World

---

Ever since I started recovering from the radish battle, I've been allowed to visit Father on the farm more often. Of course, I had to ask—more like insist—multiple times, but it was worth it. Why?

Because of the fruit.

These magic-infused fruits? Absolutely divine. Easily the most delicious thing I've eaten in either of my lives. That alone would've been enough. But combined with the steady helpings of dragon meat I've been getting daily for nearly a month now, my recovery and magical development have skyrocketed.

The apples? Sweeter than honey and packed with so much stamina I could practically roll around all day.

The tomatoes? Juicy, tangy, a bit citric—perfect in salads or made into sauce. Mom even made pasta with minced dragon meat, using a thick sauce from those tomatoes. I swear, if I weren't already reincarnated, I'd have died from the flavor alone.

Even the noodles were special—made from a type of glowing, golden wheat Dad grows on the farm.

---

As I've come to understand more of this world, one thing's become clear: my parents are ridiculous.

Mom's magic specializes in healing, defense, and divine-tier offensive spells powered by light and life itself. Her Domain of Holy Light is nothing short of miraculous. Meanwhile, Dad's built like a fortress and wields fire magic with the raw destructive power of a natural disaster. That time he fought a thirty-meter dragon with a flaming sword the size of a wagon? Still burned into my memory.

In my past life, magic existed, sure—but it was nothing like this.

My old world's continent was called Cadania, ruled by a hierarchy of nobles. Magic existed, but it was limited. Monsters were practically mythical, appearing only inside special dungeons or crypts. Only nobles from long-standing magic bloodlines had decent control over spells, and even then, conjuring magic took years of effort. Mana was finite, painfully so. That's why magic artifacts were so heavily relied on.

This new world? It's on an entirely different scale.

Here, spells are divided into Tiers, with higher numbers signifying greater power. Back in Cadania, we used a Circle System, where Eighth Circle magic was the height of arcane might.

My mom can casually toss out Tier 8 magic before breakfast. And she doesn't even sweat.

How much mana do they have? It's insane. Makes my "infinite MP" glitch feel… almost normal?

Well, not really. I'm still glitched. But seeing how casual they are about flinging spells has me wondering if infinite mana is even that special here.

Still, they did mention that defeating the Demon Lord was a brutal battle. So even their godlike strength has its limits. I haven't gotten much detail from them yet, but there's more to that war than they let on. I'll get answers someday.

---

On my end, I've been improving steadily.

I'm not even one year old yet—probably about halfway there—but my magical control is noticeably sharper. The magical fruits and dragon meat are definitely helping with growth and recovery. Still, even with unlimited mana, casting takes a toll on my body and especially on my soul.

Magic isn't just about how much mana you have.

If mana is a river, then the soul is the dam that regulates its flow. Mine is weak—at least compared to my parents.

According to the System, my soul is still that of a normal human. She analyzed my parents briefly and concluded their soul sizes are abnormally massive. No surprise there. With souls like that, they barely feel fatigue while casting Tier 8 spells.

Me? I try too hard and I'm out cold for a week.

Still, I can't complain. I'm making progress. And as my teacher once said in my past life:

"Effort beats talent when talent doesn't try."

Even with cheats, I have to put in effort.

So I do. Daily.

I train Mana Usage every chance I get, rolling around and drawing in energy, strengthening my control. Unfortunately, Mom's banned me from using Ember inside the house—reasonable, after nearly setting the kitchen on fire—so I only practice it when she carries me outside and I "accidentally" spot a walking vegetable or other weak monster.

Now that I think about it… they've always just barely escaped the farm's fences before I get to "fight" them.

I suspect my parents are throwing them my way on purpose so I can get battle experience while still thinking it's my idea.

Crafty.

But helpful.

That said, every battle—even minor ones—leaves me exhausted.

Apparently, my soul simply wasn't made for this world. The System explained that a "small soul" can't endure long casting without spiritual fatigue. And while there might be ways to grow the soul over time, like absorbing spiritual energy or defeating strong monsters… yeah, I'm nowhere near ready for that.

So, for now, I make do.

---

Speaking of which… I've got another trick up my sleeve.

Until now, I've mostly relied on Ember and Mana Usage. But I've got another skill. One I haven't really experimented with until now:

Agriculture.

Sounds boring, right?

But it's the signature skill of the Farmer class—and it's actually kind of amazing.

I wasn't sure how to use it at first, since it requires seeds. Took me a while to figure that part out.

But thanks to the fruits I've been eating, I've been secretly stashing seeds under my blanket. Apple seeds, tomato seeds, wheat grains… all neatly hidden behind my pillow when no one's looking.

Yes. I'm hoarding seeds like a squirrel hoards nuts.

The Agriculture skill doesn't just give me knowledge about plants. It lets me control their growth. I can enhance them, accelerate them, even make them bloom or mutate in weird ways.

And as far as I've seen, neither of my parents have this ability.

Dad grows crops using natural means—fertile soil, magic-infused water, basic elemental enhancement. Mom's never used anything remotely close to plant magic.

Which means… this is my thing. My unique skill.

My parents are literal war gods, but this?

This is mine.

So now, it's time to see just what I can do with it.

I've got the seeds. I've got infinite mana. I've got a decent grasp of Mana Usage.

Let's see what happens when I combine all three.
