In the Lab
Later that night, Rayn stood at the threshold of Lab 4C, the final evaluation chamber for Project Rebirth. The room was sterile, cold, and buzzed with anticipation. Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, and Dr. Erskine waited inside, watching him closely as he entered. The only other person in the room was Steve Rogers, who looked as nervous as ever.
Rayn walked into the room, the door shutting softly behind him. Stark raised an eyebrow, admiring Rayn's composure.
"So, you're Walker, huh?" Stark said with a smirk. "The quiet one. You didn't exactly scream 'super soldier' during training."
Rayn smirked back. "That's because I'm not here to scream, Mr. Stark. I'm here to win."
Erskine nodded approvingly. "There's something special about you, Mr. Walker. Not just in terms of raw strength—but in your ability to think strategically under pressure. You've already shown us that you possess the qualities of a soldier we need."
Rayn's eyes flicked briefly to Steve, who stood quietly nearby. His stomach churned slightly at the thought of what was coming—but there was no turning back now.
"We're about to make history," Erskine said, stepping closer. "And we need both of you. Together, you'll be the first to undergo the full Super Soldier treatment."
Steve looked at Rayn, his eyes wide. "You ready for this?"
Rayn met his gaze, feeling a strange sense of camaraderie. "Not ready. But I'll survive."
The doors to the Vita-Ray chamber opened with a hiss, and both men stepped forward. Erskine gave them one last look. "There's no turning back. Do you accept?"
Rayn didn't hesitate. "I accept."
Steve nodded, his face set with determination. "I accept too."
Erskine glanced at Stark, who nodded in return. "Proceed."

The Vita-Ray Chamber
The doors sealed behind them as they were guided into the Vita-Ray chamber. Stark and Erskine activated the system, and the humming of machines filled the room. Rayn could feel the energy surge through the chamber as the transformation process began.
"Let's see what you're really made of," Stark muttered under his breath, watching intently.
