Chapter 5 - WARRIORS OF METAL 5

NAME CHARACTERS OF DWARVES. The dwarf faction is divided in under-kingdoms and clan, in various mountains. While under different kings or lord they are all loyal followers of Ghargrimm, worshipping and singing to the beloved Ironfather, in their own way, along with fighting in their own unique style of warfare. These are three major characters from the Dwarf faction, currently. Great heroes, lords, and warriors that rouse to fame with accomplishing great deeds.

Name: Thordyn Steelhide Title: Lord of the Stagghorn Mountain. Faction: Clan Andarrhyne. Weapons: Hammer & Shield. Weapon Name: Thunderstrike & Lightningbreaker. Class: Melee Specialist. Territory: Stagghorn Mountain. Appearance: White and grey longbeard, a small thick, unruly, end short-ponytial and braided thick mustache dwarf, has brown eyes, wears a dwarven spangenhelm style helmet in silver, golden accents, and studs with great copper large antlers horns on the helmet, heavy rounded dwarven armor with a great stagg over a shield emblem in green, white, and brown at the center, rounded silver thick shoulder pauldron with white fur edge, layered elbow guards, a pair of long silver gauntlets, green robes underneath his armor exposed under the chestplate, a large brown leather belt with a copper studded buckle, dark brown dwarven pants, long silver dwarven greaves. Background: The dwarves of a great mountain in the northeast of Gwaar. A beautiful mountain were great oak trees constantly grow around and on the mountain. With a pair of humongous oak trees, like a pair of undying antlers like that of a giant stagg, hence the named the Stagghorn Mountain, the location of the underkingdom of the Andarrhyne Clan. Masters of silver mining, forging, and oaken-woodcrafting, along with sole source of special metal ore that is sacred to their God, and clan greatly. They gained this grand mountain from the vile dökkálfar that abused these lands, until a mountainless group of dwarves, lead by a great warrior name Thordyn Andarrhyne stumble onto the great mountain. Thordyn and his people were homeless, losing their previous mountain to the vile undead of the wraiths, he swore to them he'd find them a new home to build a greater underkingdom than the one lost before. Along with honoring their fallen kin and king by living and thriving, and after several years of wandering around continent for their own mountain, a fortress of vile dark elves, in greater number and better armed awaited them in the task to claim a new mountain. Thordyn, as much as he wished to engage in great war against the dark elves, he knew that cost will all be death in result of this conflict. So he stayed his weapon, for now, but he refused to let his people be in needless danger and homeless any longer. So the dwarven lord planed, and strategized on how to overcome his enemy, praying and singing to the Ironfather, for aid and guidance, until he saw a sign, as the Sun rise over the nameless mountain, between two great oak trees, he understood. Taking his people at the other side of the mountain, if they can face their enemy in the front, they strike from below, unseen. Thordyn and his clan, dug and mined from behind the mountain, digging into the depths and obtaining ore and the beginnings of conquest and construction of the soon to be underkingdom of these dwarves. For years they dug and mined, creating and forging themselves weapons, and the initial building-blocks of this dwarven hold, all the while increasing their numbers, and mounting small raid against the dark elves, thus Thordyn and his kin began to obtain grown on this battle for the mountain. During one of these mining expeditions into the further depths of this mountain, Thordyn's miners found, a special shining and mighty ore. It was called Ironfather Mithirl, and possess the very blessing of Ghargrimm, within this Steel. From it new armor and weapons for these dwarves were created, amongst those creations were the Metal-bleesed arms of Thordyn, a hammer and shield, capable of harnessing the mighty power of the storm, Thordyn thanked and sang to Ghargrimm, for a month straight, even constructing a great totem of this Ironfather Mithirl, used for grand events, which these dwarves would sing Folk Metal to the Ironfather. Until after a many years, the dark elves managed to mine into the main caverns of this clan's underkingdom, just as Thordyn was planing and at last they no longer needed to perform these stealth strikes, and ambushes on the dark elves. At long last they were able to face the dark elves, in the direct and glorious warfare, with now named Thordyn Steelhide as their mountain king, and armed with his famed hammer Thunderstrike and shield Lightningbreaker, he lead this epic battle, battle that became known as the War of the Mithirl Caverns. After days of nonstop combat and war, the now named Andarrhyne Clan, came out victorious, crushing all dökkálfar out their mountain, and solidifying their rule over it. Thriving and expanding their underkingdom beneath this mountain, it was finally time to name said mountain, and Thordyn, when he saw that those two massive oaks, were still standing like the time he saw them, a age ago. Resembling a pair of stagg antlers, he knew that Ghargrimm himself gave him the name for his mountain, for there on it was known as Stagghorn Mountain, and he even modeled his clan's emblem after this noble creature. While one of the most recent clans' to rise in Ragnarock, Thordyn and his clan have more than proven themselves in the eyes of their kin, and more importantly the Ironfather.

Name: Gromm Dracoslayer Title: The Slayer of the Red Death. Faction: Clan Uruzen. Weapon: Battleaxe. Weapon Name: Wagnerbane. Class: Melee Specialist. Territory: Drakefire Mountain. Appearance: Red-haired dwarf, with unruly hair and a thick beard with some bands and rings on some of its strands, his eyes are reddish-copper, great muscle physique among his dwarven kin, has reddish viking-like tattoos on his body, wears a short curved horned iron armor-headgear that exposes his face and hair, a thin gold nose-ring, thick cardiophylax style chestplate with a red dragon mark across the armor, thick and large copper left-shoulder pauldron with three long-pointed bone spike attached to it, a pair of black long bands with copper studs on his wrists, large armored belt with a vibrant red loincloth on the front, dark brown long-thick dwarven pants, rounded copper right knee-guard with the red dragon painted on it, and a pair of thick, copper plated boots. Background: Clan Uruzen, have lived withing the molted depths of a active volcano, in a island off the mainland near Valnahein human territory. Having master the used of blazing power of the volcano both in the forge or in war, along with miners and forgemasters of strong copper that only comes from this burning mountain, name Drakefire. Earning its name for not only it's incredible fire, always active and bursting with lava, but this volcano also serves as the breeding grounds for dangerous fire-breathing drakes. Since clan Uruzen have made their home, and domain in Drakefire Mountain, these dwarves have been hunting down these drakes, using their materials to make catalyzers for fire-breathing weaponry that they've developed, but also use them as a rite of passage for the younger dwarves. Every successful hunt by a young dwarf is meet with a great feast and songs to their Ironfather, for blessing them with a new grown warrior in their clan. But things didn't remain glorious and prosperous for clan Uruzen, as a great calamity came to their island, from the far east came a great red dragon of legend, terrorizing Ragnarock from the old age, and his name is Wagner. Drawn to the volcanic lands of these dwarves, claiming it as his new den, killing countless dwarves and destroying much of their forges and fortress in this island. Their king, Ivorr Uruzen, declared that he'll purge this calamity from their island, from their mountain and lead a great army into Wagner's lair...only to return in grim defeat, from thousands strong only a couple dozen returned, him included but cripple. Dishonored and ashamed King Ivorr lost his sons in that campaign against Wagner, but made a statement any who slew the dragon, will not only be the greatest hero of clan Uruzen, but also lead it as the next king. Since then many brave dwarves have tried and failed to defeat the mighty Wagner, but a young dwarf name Gromm came. A drake-hunter that has claimed the lives of many drakes and beasts, living to hunt and slay monsters came from the outside of the volcano, claiming that the Ironfather has sent him a vision. While slaying a great drake, when a small eruption occurred and buried him under volcanic rock, he expected to die buried in the boiling darkness of that makeshift tomb, when a red light cut through the darkness. Firestones were unearthed by the eruption, and seeing this as a sign that Ghargrimm, hasn't deemed his end yet, he struck one of these red stones of great power, with his greataxe, and thus triggering a small explosion, freeing him from his emtombment and the Ironfather, showed him a vision of Wagner the Red Death. At that moment the young dwarf, knew what he must do, and quickly returned to the underkingdom, to prepare for the greatest challenge he'd ever faced. Gromm, stood before the king, and told of his vision from the Ironfather, and swore that he allowed him to lead a small force of dwarves, then the vile dragon will meet his end at last. Ivorr seeing Gromm's strength, conviction, and bravery granted him with what he requested, and so Gron prepared to meet his destiny. Gathering miners and tunnelers to dig up more firestones, so he can use on the hunt against the dragon, taking these highly explosive ore, in order to create a weapon that will impress the Ironfather, and bring the end to the Red Death's reign of terror over their island. In a couple months time, the special giant ballista bolts, name the Firestorm were finished, before Gromm left with his force to take down Wagner, the king called his runemakers and rune-singer to bless Gromm gear with the power Ironfather's Metal, the Source of Steel, to grant him protections and strengths against the dragon. Once ready Gromm lead his kin to Wagner's lair and the battle began, he and a few warriors engaged the red dragon, while the rest fired the special ballistas loaded with firestorm bolt, every blow causing great damage at Wagner. Every explosion forcing the monstrous dragon, into Gromm's level, as he attacked the dragon. With Ghargrimm's strength flowing through his battleaxe, every swing cut throught the red scales of the Red Death, as the firestorm continue weakening it, until Gromm finally managed to strike true, his axe managing to strike the weak spot of the dragon's skull, and ending Wagner a long last. Gromm slew the calamitous Red Death, earning his second name, "Dracoslayer" and the throne over Uruzen clan. A honor that Gromm showed his appreciation to the God of Folk Metal, every chance he could, the youngest king to take the throne of Clan Uruzen, and since then, he has rule and fought for his underkingdom and kin, as king and the Slayer of the Red Death.

Name: Huirr Begerssen Title: Brew Lord of the Mountain of Endless Nectar. Faction: Clan Begerssen. Weapons: Hand-cannon & Axe. Weapon Name: Shouting Dragonbreath. Class: Ranged Specialist. Territory: Hull Mountain. Appearance: White haired dwarf, with a wide, long curly beard, he has browish-gold eyes, rounded nose, has a slight bear-belly but still has muscled physique, he wears rounded studded helmet with long curved horn on the top of the helm pointing upwards, special copper-goggles of green lenses, has a blue long-sleeved open coat with a white thick fur-collar that is placed on his shoulder, uses a short-sleeved splint-mail type chest armor and underneath he has a white thick long-sleeved shirt, a pair of special light-brown leather armored gloves, a fauld style waist armor with modifications such as some pouches holding ammo, and more, blue thick pants and a pair of leather boots with white furred edges. Background: The lord of Hull Mountain, also known of the Mountain of Endless Nectar. Under the rule and guidance of king Huirr Begerssen, these dwarves have grown in power, influence, and adoration, by practicing and mastering the art brewing of mead and other alcohols. Huirr has always been a lover of mead and other nectars of the Gods, as he and his kin believe that all alcohol are gifts from the heavens, shared with them by their God, Ghargrimm. For this love and joy, he and his clan of Begerssen claimed the Hull Mountain, converting much of the mountain into the greatest brewing factory in Ragnarock. With natural rivers flowing through their mountain, and endless ingredients around their domain, they were able to brew without restriction, only skill and imagination as their guide. These blessing and gifts from the Ironfather, were always returned with gratitude for almost endless Folk Metal was sung in this underkingdom, along with offering to the Ironfather Fountain, gallons of their finest brews from mead, or whiskey, or even bourbon, cause every concert their God must have a drink as well. But do not be fooled by these master brewers, for clan Begerssen and King Huirr are still capable warriors. And they need to be, for their cherished Hull Mountain is a target to many, wanting not just the mountain itself, but all their brews, recipes, and secrets, cause of this Huirr and his kin were always ready for battle, with axe, hammer, drums, and mug these dwarves are among the most ferocious fighters amongst the clans. Clan Begerssen, always sing and pray to the Ironfather, as they drink and hence before and during battle, as they drink they gain unbelievable strength and fury, and thus the might and Metal become greater than any forces can handle, especially with the amount of alcohol they have access to. Also their king, Huirr Begerssen, is a mighty warrior, drinker, and devotee to Ghargrimm, every drink he dedicates to him, and with his legendary fury after quenching his thirst with several mugs, makes him nearly unbeatable. The wielder of special hand-cannon retrofitted to be used in either a single or dual handed, and capable of shooting several blasts before reloading, thus this hand-cannon gain the name the Shouting Dragonbreath. Many have fell to his weapon, and he known to always have a cheerful demeanor even in battle, getting more excited as the fighting and drinking increase, a dwarf truly deserving the Brew Lord.
