Abdul Rehman then starts looking for Abid. Suddenly, the object in his pocket starts playing music as he walks behind Umm-e-Farwah's house. The object slips out of his pocket, and he gets confused about its meaning. Just then, the Zuhr Azan begins, and Abdul Rehman quickly stops the music. He thinks to himself, "I should pray first, then I'll figure this out." He heads to the mosque to perform Wudu and prays in congregation. After the prayer, he makes a dua, "Ya Allah, I don't know if the path I am walking on is right or not. I don't even know how I'll fulfill my promise. I made a promise to Umm-e-Farwah; she feels like a daughter to me. When she called me Baba, it made me feel like I have someone now for whom I'll care. Ya Allah, You are the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. Protect me from wrong paths, and always guide me on the path of righteousness. I don't know where Abid is, but I pray to You, Allah, that he is safe and well, otherwise, my daughter and I will break apart. I promised her that I would bring Abid back safe and sound. Allah, forgive me, and accept my dua. Ameen."
After his prayer, he heads home feeling tired and goes to rest. Meanwhile, in the field, Abdullah and Qasim are waiting for the Mask Man to arrive, so they can test him, and Qasim can assess his technique. The heat from the sun and the soldier's suit makes both of them sweat profusely. Abdullah, frustrated, says, "Where is he? Why is he still not here?" Just then, the Mask Man arrives and apologizes, "Sorry, I am late." Abdullah looks at Qasim and shakes his head, saying, "Is he crazy?" The Mask Man asks, "Shall we start the test?" Abdullah replies, "We've been waiting for you." He is angry but adds, "Come, show me your skills, and I will test your knowledge of the path you know." The Mask Man nods, "Alright, let's begin." Abdullah then tells him, "For safety, you should wear something." The Mask Man responds, "I don't need anything. I trust myself. You won't even be able to touch me." Abdullah looks at Qasim and gives him a sign, then says to the Mask Man, "We'll see about that."
Both prepare for the fight, and Abdullah attacks first by punching the Mask Man, but he dodges and says, "Wow, so much anger!" Abdullah responds, "Stop talking and focus on the fight." The Mask Man strikes back, landing an elbow on Abdullah's chest and follows up with a kick. Abdullah is knocked back and falls. Qasim watches the fight and begins to suspect that the Mask Man is hiding his true skills because if he used his real techniques, Qasim would recognize them. The Mask Man continues to dodge Abdullah's attacks, landing powerful punches that make Abdullah bleed from his nose. Abdullah gets angrier and charges again, but the Mask Man dodges, hitting him with an elbow and two quick punches, knocking Abdullah down. Qasim realizes that the Mask Man is deliberately holding back his true abilities.
The Mask Man taunts Abdullah, "You're too weak and old. You shouldn't even be testing me." Abdullah retorts, "You were supposed to be tested, not just fight for real." The Mask Man cuts him off and says, "But sir, isn't that how you do things? Don't you test people like this? Remember when you once got so angry you scarred someone with a knife? Or did you forget about that?" Abdullah, still furious, responds, "You've only bled once. Get up and fight more. Let's see if you can pass the test or just defend yourself." Qasim interjects, "Enough. You want to test him? Fine, I'll test him." The Mask Man smirks, "Haha, that's interesting. Come, let's see what you've got."
Qasim steps forward and tells Abdullah, "Sir, rest, I'll take this on." Then, Qasim begins to fight the Mask Man. Qasim stays calm and allows the Mask Man to attack, dodging and countering each blow as the Mask Man struggles to land a hit. After a few more exchanges, a small scratch appears on Qasim's cheek. Qasim, unfazed, says, "This is getting too much." He then steps up his attack, pushing the Mask Man back.
The fight continues for a long time, but in the end, Qasim wins. He looks at the Mask Man and says, "Your skills are good, but you're too arrogant. Today, your arrogance was your downfall. Next time, leave your ego behind and fight better." Qasim gives him advice, "Arrogance is forbidden. Repent and fight with humility." The Mask Man seems to consider this, but Qasim remains doubtful, thinking that he might just be trying to cover up his true intentions. As long as he doesn't have solid proof, he can't act. The Mask Man passes the test and is set to head towards Kabul the next day.
