"What in the world is going on here?!" Lucien asked as he walked into the house. his heart was filled with rage, and he was not even going to try to understand what was going on.
"Lucien, you better warn your little trinket here, tell her that she is nothing more than fodder to us, and she should know her place, or we will be forced to make her pay for what she is doing." Eric was looking at Lucien. He expected Lucien to scold Lily for making a fool of him like that, and it was not going to be something he was going to take lightly.
Lucien was quiet; he was looking at Eric, and he was not happy that the man in front of him decided that it would be better if he took matters into his own hands and harmed his wife. He wanted to know why and what it was that motivated him to think that hitting Lily would be any good. "Why in the world did you want to hit my wife?"
Eric was shocked when he heard what Lucien was asking him. He looked at him with a confused look on his face it was not something he expected, but he was trying to understand what was going on.
"Lucien? Are you asking me this question?" Eric was looking at Lucien, trying to see if he was going to get an answer, but it was clear that he was serious. "Why in the world are you taking her side? What is she to you that you are leaving me, your cousin, to defend a low life like that is not meant to be anywhere close to this place?"
Lily was shocked to see that Lucien was even thinking of trying to defend her like that, and it was clear to her that it was some kind of act of pity. 'Maybe he doesn't want anyone to hurt me but him. I wonder what is going on in that little skull of his."
"Don't know if you have forgotten, I married her yesterday in front of the people of the city, and she was the one who came down from the car in a wedding gown, and we shared the vows on the altar." Lucien was looking at Eric; he was not in the best type of mood and was trying to find out why Eric was planning to lay his hands on his wife like that.
Eric was shocked when he saw the way Lucien was defending Lily, "Are you being serious here, Lucien? She is the one you should be warning and you should focus all your energy on making her apologize for the shit she has done!"
Eric turned to look at Lily, who was clearly mocking him with a smile on her face. He knew that she was enjoying the way Lucien was making a fool of him there, and it was also clear that she was not going to be held responsible for anything that had happened there.
"I was here from when both of you had the exchange of words with her, she was respectful and didn't say anything up until you tried to degrade her, but then she only told you the half of what was on her mind not even the full thing, yet you feel so insecure." Lucien was not going to let Eric insult Lily, he was looking at him with anger in his heart.
"I don't know why you think it was a fine for you to take it into your hands to make sure that you would punish her." Lucien was looking at Eric, he was not in any mood to listen to his rant. He wanted to make sure that there was no way Eric would hurt Lily.
Lucien walked in front of Eric and took Lily gently by the arm. He took her and left Eric there to think about what he was doing. He didn't want to have any problems with him, but then he would not stand there and watch him try to hurt Lily.
Lily followed Lucien slowly. She looked at him, and she was a bit confused that there was this calm side of him that would always want to protect her no matter what happened, and it was a bit heartwarming to her.
'Why do I feel like there is more to this man than all the news we have gotten on him? Or is this an act he is trying to make his family members think that he loves me, and then he will slowly show his true intentions when we are alone.' Lily was a bit confused; she was not sure what it was that Lucien was trying to do, but she was sure that there was a gender hidden from everyone.
Lucien took her to the room, let her go, and sat in the chair. "I wonder why it had to be Eric out of all of them, You must have some ill luck, Lily." Lucien was looking at Lily with a faint smile on his face.
Lily was looking at Lucien, she was a bit confused to see him act like that. "What is it with you?" Lily asked in her mind, trying to avoid the fact that she was looking at the number one person she was meant to assassinate. But he was acting like he was some kind of saint, and it would not be easy for anyone.
"Why in the world are you looking at me like that?" Lucien said in a cool and soft voice, he smiled as he got up to walk closer to Lily. "I heard from a little birdie that my Wild Flower had coffee with a friend at the Moonlit Cafe."
Lily was shocked when she heard Lucien had seen her with Twilight. She turned to look at him, scared that there was going to be a fight, but then she didn't know why it would even get to that.
