Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: July Fragments

Morning light shone through the broken window of the ward, and the air was filled with a pungent smell of disinfectant. Su Yue opened her heavy eyes, her consciousness was not yet fully awake, but her mind was reverberating with the illusions and cries of last night. Her forehead and third eye were aching slightly, as if she was still resisting some force.

"Yue..." Ethan's voice came from the bedside, low and gentle.

She looked back and saw Ethan staring at her quietly with his deep eyes. Although his face was still pale, the firmness flashing in his eyes made Su Yue feel a little comforted.

"How does it feel?" Ethan asked slowly.

"It still hurts... a lot." She answered softly, touching her forehead with her fingertips, feeling that the invisible eye seemed to be ready to move.

"Don't worry, it takes time to control this power." Ethan reached out and held her hand, "I'll help you."

Ethan's words warmed Su Yue's heart slightly, and she tried to sit up from the bed, trying to get rid of the haze in her heart. But just as she was about to get out of bed, the door of the ward was suddenly pushed open, and several men in black rushed in quickly.

"Miss Su Yue, we have been ordered to take you back to the headquarters of the Fallen Council." The leading man's voice was cold.

Ethan immediately stood up and blocked Su Yue: "Why do you take her away?"

The man in black sneered: "The order of the Council cannot be resisted."

The atmosphere suddenly became tense, Ethan clenched his fists, and murderous intent flashed in his eyes.

"You won't succeed." He growled.

"Haha, that's hard to say." The man in black waved his hand, and several fully armed soldiers appeared behind him.

"Come with us, it's safe."

Su Yue looked around and realized that Ethan could not resist so many enemies. She whispered to Ethan: "Don't fight hard, their strength is far greater than ours."

Ethan gritted his teeth: "I won't let you face it alone."

"You go with me." Su Yue said firmly.

Seeing this, the man in black snorted coldly and motioned the soldiers to come forward. Ethan and Su Yue were forced to follow them out of the hospital.

Along the way, the vehicle sped through the dim tunnel. Su Yue clenched her fists, and the broken mirror and the words of the mysterious woman echoed in her mind.

"I am not an ordinary human..."

"I am the echo of the old god..."

This secret burned like a flame in her heart, burning so much that she could not calm down.

"Ethan," she finally spoke, "Do you believe in gods? That kind of existence is far beyond human understanding."

Ethan was silent for a moment: "I didn't believe it before. But now... I'm beginning to doubt it."

"They hide too much." Su Yue whispered.

The vehicle stopped in the underground core area of the Fallen Council. The security here is strict, and the cold metal walls reflect the light blue light, as if they are in a huge technological cage.

They were taken into a huge secret room, with countless flashing ancient runes and complex energy formations inlaid on the walls.

"Welcome back, Su Yue." A low and majestic voice sounded, breaking the silence.

A middle-aged man in a black robe walked slowly, his eyes as sharp as an eagle.

"I am Moran, the 'main elder' of the Fallen Council."

Mo Ran stared at Su Yue for a long time, then slowly said: "We have already monitored your blood seal awakening process. Your third eye has opened, but this is just the beginning."

"The third eye is the most critical part of the July God Seal, representing the awakening of divinity. We need you to control it and complete the God System Resonance Plan."

Su Yue said coldly: "Your so-called plan is to turn me into a tool?"

Mo Ran smiled slightly: "No, Su Yue. You are a bridge, a link between the old gods and the present world. Only you can prevent a greater disaster from coming."

"What disaster?" Su Yue was puzzled.

"You have hidden fragments of the July God Seal in your body." Moran said, "and those fragments do not belong to just you."

Mo Ran waved his hand, and the formation on the wall lit up, projecting seven glowing symbols.

"These are all the fragments of the Seven Moon Seal, corresponding to seven 'Moon Sealers'. You are the Seventh Moon Sealer, representing the power of the 'Forgotten Moon'."

"The other six Moon Sealers are awakening in various places."

"Your common destiny is to gather the fragments of the God Seal and unlock the true body of the old god."

Su Yue was shocked, confused and terrified.

"Why should I help you?"

Mo Ran said firmly: "This is your destiny."

The Council arranged Su Yue in a special area and provided special training facilities to help her control the power of the third eye.

But she knew that this was just the beginning.

With awakening, the cracks in the soul became deeper and deeper, and the faults in memory came like a tide.

One night, Su Yue dreamed that she was in a blood-red moonlight, surrounded by six other strange Moon Sealers.

In their eyes, there was both light and abyss.

"We are fragments, but also wholes." A voice whispered in his ear, "Only unity can survive."

At the same time, Ethan secretly investigated on the edge of the parliament.

He found that the plan to awaken the divine seal was far more complicated than it seemed.

The contradiction between the "Cold Moon Judge" and the "Fallen Parliament" gradually surfaced.

What's more frightening is that a mysterious force from the abyss of the void is ready to move.

A few days later, Su Yue accepted the first round of spiritual trials.

In the trial field, the fragments of the July divine seal merged with her third eye, transforming into a mysterious moonlight sanctuary.

There, she faced her deepest fear: becoming the "broken god" and becoming a puppet of the will of others.

"Who are you?" In the illusion, the woman wearing the crown appeared again.

"I... I don't want to be you." Su Yue shouted.

"I am not the enemy you imagine." The woman said gently, "I am your own unfinished existence."

"Only by accepting the past can you truly control the future."

Su Yue gritted her teeth and gradually calmed down.

"I am willing to try."

The moonlight filled her body, and the halo of the divine seal slowly condensed.

Her third eye opened again, and this time, the light was gentle and firm.

"I will become my true self."
