"What do you see from me? I broke in without permission carrying a weapon, and I blew up the door." Kurohane spoke in a flat but challenging tone. "Both of you should call the police and arrest me! Do you have no principles anymore?!" He sighed dramatically. "But I must admit, I surrendered voluntarily, so both of you have to testify for me!!!"
With a very deliberate movement, Kurohane handcuffed himself and expertly handed the unloaded and magazine-less handgun to Pepper. Just like a scene in an action movie, after the calm, the 'cleanup' crew finally arrived and found Tony casually grilling in his yard, while Kurohane, with handcuffs on, was happily devouring skewers. The arriving police officers could only stare in astonishment at the 'harmonious' scene.
One of the leading police officers, looking at the two people who seemed too familiar with each other, asked in a confused tone, "You... what exactly happened here?"
"Oh, here's how it is," Tony began, shrugging helplessly, holding barbecue tongs in one hand and a glass of red wine in the other. "I was working on a new research project in the villa at the time. This Mr. Kurohane, for the sake of my safety, used our company's product to break down my front door. In the end, he found me perfectly fine, but the kind Mr. Kurohane felt he had made a mistake. So, he voluntarily handcuffed himself and asked you to take him back to the police station. So, Officer, please take him back to the police station. Oh, and he also surrendered himself."
Tony's meaning was very clear: Kurohane was his friend. He blew up the villa door out of concern, but Kurohane was too honest and still asked the police to take him away, surrendering completely. As for the follow-up, whether it was bail or court, Stark Group's Legal Department would handle it.
A senior officer in a wealthy district was certainly not a rookie. He fully understood Tony's meaning and respectfully invited Kurohane into the police car, repeatedly assuring Tony that Kurohane would not be treated unfairly.
Kurohane deliberately went with the police, with three main purposes. First, his actions over the past month could not be concealed from those who wanted to investigate him, for example, Tony's 'kind' uncle. As long as that uncle didn't disappear, he would definitely continue to monitor Tony. Second, to avoid Fury's constant non-stop calls. If he didn't hide, he was afraid the legendary Black Widow would come knocking on his door. Third, Hell's Kitchen seemed to have connections to the police station. Once he got in, the hidden dirty things would likely be revealed, and he could follow the clues to find the mastermind behind it. Kurohane's experience showed that masterminds were far more valuable than ordinary subordinates. Subordinates usually only gave 1 Justice Point, but even a small 'captain' could give 2 points! A mastermind... at least 10 points, and if he was the main villain in the story, the points could be even more! Tony had previously warned him to be careful at the police station. Moreover, through Tony's 'arrest' earlier, he had once again successfully squeezed some Justice Points from Tony. As the saying goes, little by little adds up, wasn't a little Justice Point also a form of 'love'?
Kurohane was happily imagining a 'comfortable' life in prison when he found the police car driving directly towards S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters...
Kurohane: (Eyes narrowed sharply, growling)
S.H.I.E.L.D. really has its hands in every government agency! I can't even find a quiet place to hide! Kurohane thought irritably.
"Kurohane, we finally meet again. Have you missed me lately?" Fury stood outside the car, deliberately showing off the cast on his hand to Kurohane. "Thanks to you, I haven't signed any S.H.I.E.L.D. documents for a month."
Kurohane opened the police car door himself, then mimicked Fury's movement, showing the handcuffs on his hands, and said in a cold tone, "I am currently a detained suspect. Before my lawyer arrives, I will not say anything to you, even if you are the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.!"
Fury: (Eyebrows furrowed, incredulous expression)
Sure enough, this kid is stubborn! Fury thought.
"Of course, you have the right to remain silent. However, there are some things I still need to convey," Fury said, using his intact fingers to hold a folder and hand it to Kurohane.
Kurohane unconsciously took it and looked at the contents, while listening to what Fury wanted to say. "You were right. Some Skrulls are indeed interested in taking over Earth. And they have already begun to take action. The documents in your hand detail their crimes, and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s plan to deal with these evildoers, including but not limited to deportation."
Kurohane looked at the information in his hand, waiting for the system's prompt. If the system told him he had gained Justice Points, it would prove the authenticity of the information. If not, he wouldn't hesitate to break a few more of Fury's fingers!
[Expelling some Alien infiltrators, Justice Points +66]!
[Currently possessing Justice Points: 88]
Kurohane: (Eyes gleaming slightly)
Good!
It seems that as long as my good deeds have an impact on others, I can also gain Justice Points. Thanks to my intervention, part of the S.H.I.E.L.D. crisis involving Skrull infiltration was resolved. However, I only gained Justice Points after learning about this matter. So, does this system collect Justice Points based on my perspective? Does this mean that in the future, after doing good deeds, I still have to let the system see them for them to count? Most importantly, the system stated that only 'some' Alien infiltrators were expelled. This means I can continue to 'defeat' Fury. The evil Skrulls haven't been completely dealt with, so I still have Justice Points to gain in the future! Kurohane thought to himself, surprised and pleased. However, he had to maintain a normal expression.
Kurohane calmly handed the folder back to Fury and said in a flat tone, "So, the alien I killed back then deserved to die, right?"
"That's absolutely right. He once issued orders in my name and transferred a large amount of money from S.H.I.E.L.D.," Fury finally admitted his mistake, then reached out and grasped Kurohane's right hand. "Kurohane, I admit you were right, so please accept my apology."
"Alright, I accept. So, can you let go of my hand?" Kurohane pulled his hand away from Fury's grasp with a slight look of disgust. The Black Uncle's big hand was too warm, making him uncomfortable. The most important thing was that this guy had once wanted to invite him for coffee!
"So, you came to see me today? Are you asking me to come back to work at S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Kurohane asked in an probing tone.
