Chapter 4 - Chapter Three: Closed Doors of Blood

PHASE I

Silence fell, as if the entire castle had held its breath.

But the visitor broke that silence. He stepped forward and shouted:

"Long live Kalidor!"

It wasn't a cry of loyalty. It was a declaration of war—soaked in tension.

Without warning, the visitor launched forward like an arrow, his blade gleaming through the lingering fog of the last battle.

He was not afraid. He was convinced.

But convinced of what?

That this was his true lord?Or that he must strike him down for the sake of memory?

Kalidor did not move.

Inside, another question surfaced:

"Do I believe I deserve this name he shouts?"

As the blow neared, Kalidor moved—finally.

Not out of anger. Not to defend.

But because his body moved on its own.He blocked the strike with the edge of his sword in one swift motion—like wind dispelling mist.

He stared at the visitor. He said nothing.

But the mystery in his eyes alone was enough to paralyze the soul.

PHASE II

The visitor's blade was aimed to kill.

But Kalidor's body… it did not respond like an opponent's would.

It was as though the air itself bent to avoid the blade.

Faster. Stronger.The visitor struck again.

This time, Kalidor stepped back—but not out of fear.

Out of restraint.

The visitor's movements were desperate, as though trying to remember something through battle.Kalidor's defense was calm, calculating… mechanical.

He had fought a thousand wars. But this one felt personal.

Not because of the man before him—But because of the weight in his own limbs.

A weight he hadn't felt in centuries.

PHASE III: Wordless Recognition

After the third clash, the visitor halted.

His breath was heavy. His sword, trembling.

But his eyes… still locked on Kalidor.

A storm raged inside him.

"Is he… my lord who once sacrificed himself?""If I kneel, do I betray the memory I held all these years?""What if he is stronger now? What if he is no longer the same?"

He wanted to ask—But couldn't find the voice.

And Kalidor… stood still.

Their eyes met.

And in that frozen moment, neither one answered. Not with words. Not with certainty.

The battle had stopped.

But the war inside both of them had only just begun.
