PHASE I – The Whispering Walls
After regaining his hand, Caledor felt a strange vibration in the castle—not from the ground, but from the very walls.
Faint voices seeped from the ancient stones…Voices not spoken, but received.
"Speak again in the name of those we betrayed…You once spoke for us."
From the eastern wall, behind a collapsed hallway,a hidden opening revealed itself.
On the wall, two words glowed in dried blood:
"Confession = Gate"
Caledor realized this place was the oldest chamber in the fortress—perhaps the very first one built. It was where the Oath of Rule was once spoken.
And now, the air itself seemed to wait for a truth unspoken.
PHASE II – The Chamber of Mouths
He entered a square chamber. Each corner held a faceless statue, and above each statue, a stone mouth carved in silence.
In the center:A broken altar, and on it, a knife.
An inscription read:
"Until you speak the truth you never dared utter…You will not reclaim your tongue."
He understood. This was no court of men—it was a trial against himself.
To regain his voice,he had to confess a sin he never dared admit.
PHASE III – The Sin That Broke Him
He stepped forward.
The knife pulsed in crimson light.
And with trembling fingers,Caledor whispered:
"I betrayed those who believed in me…I sent the loyal to their graves to preserve my pride…and I never once mourned them—I feared weakness more than loss."
The statues cracked. The mouths exhaled black mist.
A tongue, made of cursed fire, floated above the altar.
It did not return to his mouth. It entered his chest.
And his voice changed.
No longer was he just a king who spoke.
Now, he was one whose words carried truth—and blood.
