Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: Eye of Creation and Destruction

"Still, Yuhao," Electrolux said, "this 'Eye of Life' of yours—it has all the functions I predicted. At least now I have a place to reside and don't have to fight that big bug and little scorpion for space. But even so... this 'Eye of Life' doesn't seem ordinary at all."

As Skydream let go of his hug and the Ice Empress also nodded in agreement, Huo Yuhao curiously got off the bed and walked to the mirror. There, he was surprised to see a third eye on his forehead.

Within the eye, purple and green light constantly merged, split, and reformed, releasing faint golden energy—a light Huo Yuhao had seen before, a golden glow that seemed to represent the origin of all things. The golden light would then dissolve again into green and purple, the cycle repeating endlessly inside what looked like a small universe, radiating a sacred and awe-inspiring aura.

Staring at his own mysterious third eye, Huo Yuhao fell into a brief trance.

"Creation... Destruction... Genesis and Oblivion..."

"Hey, Yuhao?" Skydream shook him with concern.

Huo Yuhao quickly came back to himself. Assuring Skydream he was fine, he glanced again at the third eye on his forehead. This time, the awe had passed—he had gotten used to its presence.

Still...

'Such a grand gesture, such power... If you told me this wasn't the work of the Goddess of Life and the God of Destruction, I wouldn't believe it,' he thought.

And with that thought, the last thread of tension in his heart eased.

Since his transmigration, he'd constantly feared being dragged into Tang Buddha's messes again. The idea of once more being some pawn of Tang San's grand destiny was worse than death itself.

But now? If the Gods of Life and Destruction had personally stepped in for him… wasn't that the ultimate backup? Maybe now he finally had the power to resist Tang San's influence.

After confirming Yuhao was fine, Skydream and the Ice Empress returned to his spiritual sea. But the moment they did, Huo Yuhao heard both of them gasp in shock.

"This... This is..."

"Unbelievable...!"

Perplexed, Huo Yuhao turned his attention inward. "Skydream, Ice Empress, what's going on?"

"Yuhao, quick, come into your spiritual sea!" Skydream said, his voice filled with disbelief.

Closing his eyes, Huo Yuhao entered his spiritual sea—and was completely stunned.

If before, his spiritual sea had been a modest, enclosed space, now it was a boundless ocean.

It was as if he stood on a planet made entirely of ocean, save for a single small island beneath his feet. Above, a soft green sun shone in the sky, glowing warmly like a real star—just like the actual sun in the real world.

And orbiting that sun were two smaller spheres—one platinum white, one deep green. They were clearly the spirit cores of Skydream and the Ice Empress, floating like moons above his planet.

As he walked to the edge of the island and looked into the turquoise waters, he saw a purple core buried deep in the sea floor. Even from this distance, its destructive aura sent chills down his spine... yet strangely, he also felt a sense of closeness to it.

'Alright, you two gods... that's a bit much, don't you think?'

Electrolux appeared, marveling at every detail. He extended his spiritual power across the vast sea, and then said:

"A Sun of Life... a Core of Destruction... Yuhao, your spiritual sea is no longer a simple construct—it's become a world unto itself. A miniature universe."

"Before, with just ordinary Life Gold, your spiritual sea would've gained basic immortality. Your body would regenerate from any wound so long as your brain remained. Death would become nearly impossible."

"But now, with this mutated Life Gold infused by divine power, you've become physically immortal. Only high-level spiritual attacks can truly kill you. Even if your body is destroyed, if your soul survives, you can recover—it's only a matter of time."

"If your soul weren't still so weak, you'd already be halfway to true immortality."

"As for that Core of Destruction buried deep... I can't see through it at all."

Electrolux turned to the green sun overhead and sighed.

"Originally, I was supposed to reside in the Eye of Life. But now, your spiritual sea is a whole world. With this sun, my spirit can recover naturally without needing that eye."

"And as for that mutated third eye... I suspect only your own divine sense can enter its space. Perhaps the true secrets of Life and Destruction lie within it."

"Such fortune is truly extraordinary. My strength is a bit drained—I'll need time to recover. When I return, perhaps it will be time to pass on some of my power to you, Yuhao."

With that, Electrolux transformed into a floating grey spiritual core and fell silent in the sky.

Skydream was practically bouncing in excitement.

"Forget the rest—Yuhao, you're physically immortal now! We're halfway to eternal life!"

"You idiot," the Ice Empress snapped. "Didn't Elder Yi say spiritual attacks can still kill him? Not to mention his soul's still too weak to withstand true divine pressure. Eternal life is still a dream."

Still, despite her scolding, even the Ice Empress couldn't hide her joy at Huo Yuhao's transformation.

Huo Yuhao smiled faintly, letting their bickering fade into the background as he turned inward to inspect what else he'd gained.

Unsurprisingly, he discovered he was now on the cusp of breaking through to Rank 30. After all, that mysterious golden light during his descent into the void had granted him a moment of profound meditation.

"That golden glow... must've been the fusion of Life and Destruction—the power of Creation."

"Could I possibly use that creative power myself?"

He grew excited just thinking about it. That was the power of Creation!

But as much as he tried to sense it, he couldn't feel anything.

"Is it... stored within my third eye?"

Indeed, the eye was currently closed.

So Huo Yuhao activated it.

"Since it's connected to Creation, Life, and Destruction... I'll call it the Eye of Genesis and Annihilation."

With that, he directed his divine sense into the eye—and found himself back in that familiar dark, empty void.

This time, however, the Life Sun and Destruction Core were there too—just like in his spiritual sea.

But unlike before, both were bound by nine black chains, and constantly emitted green and purple solar flares. These flares twisted and merged, forming golden flecks of creative energy.

As he stared, information flowed into his mind:

"Life as yang, Destruction as yin. When yin and yang merge, one becomes two, two becomes three, and three births all things.

Child of destiny—how far you walk upon this path depends on your fortune."

Looking at the nine chains, Huo Yuhao muttered:

"Nine seals, huh? So I have to unlock them one by one through growth... typical."

He sighed, amused.

Still, to his surprise, the first seal on each—the one on Life and the one on Destruction—were already loosening. It seemed the trial he'd endured earlier, falling into that void, was the test to unlock them.

"It really was a near-death experience," he muttered. "Any weaker and I would've never woken up again."

With just a thought, both chains shattered.

The light from both celestial bodies grew brighter, and the golden glow of creation vanished. In its place, a familiar object appeared in Huo Yuhao's hand: the Life Gold blade.

But now, it was no longer jade-green—it was crystalline platinum.

With another thought, it transformed into a small dagger, glowing green and purple.

"A dual-form weapon? Knife and dagger?"

Back in reality, Huo Yuhao tested it and confirmed he could summon or store it within the Eye of Genesis and Annihilation at will.

He spent the next hour experimenting—and was thrilled by what he discovered.

The dagger, empowered by Destruction, could pierce through anything. Literally.

It shredded everything he tested—from soul force shields to invulnerability barriers. Even his Red Dust Barrier and Invincibility Shield were no match.

And by pouring in more soul power, he could unleash an internal burst of Destruction energy inside the target, utterly annihilating it.

"This thing... it's terrifying. A true assassination weapon—stab once, and death is guaranteed."

Of course, getting close enough to land a hit on a strong soul master was another matter entirely.

As for its healing function, activating the Life energy created a green field of recovery—one minute long, and targeting any area he designated with his divine sense.

Though he hadn't tested it on anyone yet, Huo Yuhao suspected it could probably revive the dead.

But what shocked him most was the blade's original form—the engraving knife.

Infused with Creation, it could draw soul tool core arrays into existence without the need for metal at all. No etching, no carving—just pure Creation based on his spiritual blueprint.

It simplified experimentation and innovation, and allowed Huo Yuhao to realize previously impossible soul tool concepts.

It was... the ultimate crafting tool.

"I'll call you the Blade of Genesis and Annihilation. No doubt, the undisputed number one among all engraving knives—leagues above the rest."

Smiling, Huo Yuhao lovingly stroked the platinum blade and stored it away within his third eye.

It was far too precious to reveal now.

As the saying went—an innocent man holding a treasure invites his own death.
