That night…
Reno's "training session" with Tashigi was mercifully brief—just under two hours.
Of course, that was by design.
He was being considerate of her emotions, easing her into the rhythm of life aboard the Merry Go.
What surprised him, though, was just how innocent Tashigi truly was.
He'd expected a bit of naivety in technique… but the girl was a complete blank slate.
Not that I'm complaining, Reno thought, a satisfied grin playing at his lips.
After gently tucking her into bed like a perfect gentleman, he stepped out.
Back in his cabin, he closed the door and said, "Claim reward."
[System Notification]
Congratulations! You've received 120 Haki Fruits.
"One hundred and twenty?!"
Reno nearly dropped his sword from shock.
He scanned the system details:
① Breakdown: 50 Observation Haki Fruits, 50 Armament Haki Fruits, 20 Conqueror's Haki Fruits
② Eating a fruit grants the corresponding Haki instantly. If the user already has that Haki, the fruit will enhance it—but with diminishing returns.
③ System-generated Devil Fruits are 100% safe—no side effects or drawbacks.
"Holy hell…" Reno whispered.
As expected of a system dedicated to conquering heroines—this reward was designed to empower the girls.
In the One Piece world, most female characters lacked serious combat ability.
Even fewer had unlocked Haki.
Now? He could bypass years of painful training and directly awaken Haki in every girl aboard.
At minimum, they'd all gain self-defense capabilities. At maximum? They'd become terrifying in their own right.
Especially girls like Kaya or Makino, who had little to no natural battle sense. Now they could stand toe-to-toe with real threats.
Reno rubbed his chin, mentally listing every beautiful character in the Grand Line, New World, and beyond.
About fifty in total—and maybe a fifth already had Haki.
Which meant the 50 Observation and 50 Armament fruits were perfectly allocated.
The 20 Conqueror's Haki fruits, though… those needed to be used wisely.
Combat type only.
Nami came to mind immediately.
Someone might argue she didn't have the aura of a king, but…
Just tell her the enemy's going to steal all her money and burn her orange grove.
Boom—instant rage-fueled aura explosion.
Reno chuckled to himself.
"If they still don't run after that, it's not Nami's fault…"
He tucked away the fruits, thoroughly pleased.
Tomorrow, the girls were in for a big surprise.
And if there's one thing Reno had learned—girls loved surprises, no matter how small.
The Next Morning—Post-Breakfast
On the dining table sat twelve fruits, each marked with a spiral pattern.
Six were pristine white. Six were pitch black.
The girls gathered around, eyes wide.
"Are those... Devil Fruits?!" Kaya exclaimed.
Nami and the others leaned in, stunned.
Though each fruit looked slightly different, the unmistakable spiral swirls told them everything.
Makino blinked. "Captain… where did you get so many? Aren't Devil Fruits incredibly rare?"
Most people went their entire lives without ever seeing one in person.
Twelve… was unthinkable.
"Not just that," Kaya added, pointing, "they look identical by color... Isn't each Devil Fruit supposed to be unique?"
Reno laughed softly, reaching out to pat her on the head.
"These aren't normal fruits," he explained. "These are Haki Fruits."
He gestured to the white ones.
"White ones grant Observation Haki. The black ones? Armament Haki. And yes—no side effects. Even those of you who've already eaten a Devil Fruit can use these safely."
Nami's and Kaya's eyes sparkled.
"Wait—really?!" Tashigi blinked, pointing at herself. "These are for us?!"
This pirate crew… What kind of twisted dreamland was this?
Just days ago she'd been kidnapped and handed a Great Grade sword.
Now he was offering two Devil Fruits like they were snacks?
Her head spun.
"Of course they're for you," Reno grinned. "You're mine now. All of you are. I take care of what's mine."
That single line was enough to make the girls blush in sync.
Then—chaos.
"I want mine first!" Nami shouted, launching toward the table.
"Save me two!" Makino chimed.
"I call dibs on Observation!" Karumen added.
They'd been craving Haki for days now.
Reno had described the abilities in detail before:
Observation, the sixth sense for danger and movement
Armament, the invisible armor to block even blades and bullets
Now they could have it instantly.
Bites echoed around the table.
"Mmm… it's so sweet!"
"This is way better than I expected!"
Tashigi paused mid-bite, frowning. "Wait, I thought Devil Fruits were supposed to taste horrible?"
Reno just smirked.
"Mine don't."
He didn't bother explaining how the system rewrote the rules.
What mattered was—they loved it.
And their strength… had just leveled up.
