Chapter 3
POV: Elias
I walked through the night in the streets of Green Jade City, having left the Yun family home after finishing my lesson with little Yun and little Xu.
After a while of walking, I could vaguely hear people gossiping as I passed by, their eyes filled with contempt, curiosity, and ridicule.
"Tsk, that lunatic is here. He's probably done his daily ritual within the Yun family. Tsk tsk tsk."
"Hey, isn't that the man—the one everyone calls the man with an invisible god?"
"Tsk, don't talk to him. He may corrupt you like he did with the Yun family."
Their voices—I could hear them—but I didn't react, for they are but lambs, unknowing of God's grace. And God will forgive them.
I kept my pace, never paying them any mind. After a while, my thoughts started to drift back to what had happened earlier with Li Yun.
I held the cross hanging from my neck as I silently prayed for guidance.
"God, please give me a sign. Is Li Yun's method right, or is it a test for him?"
But no answer came. It was as if God's gaze was focused elsewhere. I usually feel His presence—but now, I felt nothing.
My head lowered, I kept my worry to myself, trusting in what God will do.
"Please, God, fix Your gaze upon Li Yun and keep him safe,"
I prayed, as I then left through the city gates—my destination, my home.

**POV: Li Yun**
I sat on my bed, cross-legged, as I cultivated. The Qi around me moved as I breathed.
After a few minutes of cultivation, I opened my eyes and exhaled.
"Third stage of Qi refinement. Tsk, my cultivation is too slow,"
I said in frustration as an image of a person manifested in my head, causing me to grit my teeth in anger.
"I need to get stronger. Stronger than anyone."
Frustration rose within me—but then, my eyes fell on the cross resting on my table, surrounded by candles and scriptures written by Mr. Elias.
Suddenly, a golden glow radiated from the cross, startling me. I quickly got down on my knees and bowed towards it, praying.
"Oh God, Your son will strive to make people understand Your greatness and benevolence. So please, give me strength—for I will be Your wrath that punisheth those who have sinned. Oh God, please answer my prayer."
I prayed with zeal, my mind harboring only two thoughts: bringing glory to God and punishing those who mocked Him.
I waited. And waited.
And after an hour, as if God had decided, the golden glow from the cross flew toward me and entered my body.
"Ugh—AAAAHHHHHHH!"
I screamed out in pain as blood suddenly burst from every part of my body, causing me immense agony. Although I could faintly feel God calming the pain, it was still too much to handle.
And just as I was about to pass out, I saw a hand reaching out to me, slowly closing my eyes. The pain vanished as I heard:
"Sleep well, you will be reborn."
And after that, I blacked out—my last thought being the image of the hand reaching out to me.

**Next Day**
*Gasp*
I inhaled sharply as I sat up from my bed, my blood-stained clothes drenched with sweat as I remembered what happened last night.
"Haha, God has answered me. He favors me. Hahah!"
I couldn't help but laugh—a laugh of joy. God favored me. I must do good for Him.
Suddenly, my mind wandered, as the Qi around me flowed toward me even though I wasn't actively cultivating.
Seeing this, I pulled down my shirt. My body—now lean and healthy, without any imperfections—exuded an aura of strength.
But I could feel it. This strength cannot be used easily—it has a condition.
I ran my hand across my chest, and golden words suddenly manifested:
**"The body of Michael, protector of man. If thou betray his creed, the bell of hell will ring, signalling the birth of the First Fallen."**
After reading it, my mind lingered on the final words.
**"The First Fallen?"**
I said aloud, my mind drifting to Mr. Elias.
*He probably knows who the First Fallen is,*
I thought as I readied myself. After cleaning the blood-stained room and changing into new clothes, I quickly prayed to the cross and left my home after greeting my parents and siblings.
I headed toward the training grounds.
After a bit of walking, I finally arrived. Even as I walked, my body actively cultivated on its own. From what I could observe, my talent had also improved.
As I neared the training grounds, I had already reached the threshold of the third stage. With just a small push, I would reach the fourth stage of Qi refinement.
Looking around, I found a deserted alley and quickly advanced my cultivation. I felt my strength improve.
But before I could celebrate, I heard a voice that made me freeze—my blood began to sizzle in anger.
I turned toward the source of the voice and muttered a name:
"Zhang Wei!"

Making chapters for this story is surprisingly hard, but it's quite fun so I don't really care how hard it is.
I'm just here to announce that when I post a chapter it may vary on how long it's posted so just a heads up.
Anyways that's all bye.
