Handcuffs (Part 2)
Third Person's POV
Teleporting to another place, bewilderment was seen in them for a reaction. Why? For only one reason: They came back from where Eljeric fist spawned.
"This means that's not the way?" the blue guy spoke making the three diver their attention to him.
"There might be an exit itself or we need to kill to survive or just wait for the players' number to go down? By the way who are you?" Tj asked.
Lyka, who was shocked by the rudeness of his boyfriend said, "Tj, that's rude of you! Don't let our future kids get that from you!" Lyka grumpily smacked hee hand on Tj's back making him look hurt.
"Zephyr Zilch," he was slightly blushing.
"Not a figure, or so it seemed. Maybe, I can't just remember it?" Eljeric made a confusedly wondering look in his face.
"Sir Zilch, your name is pretty, is it not?" Lyka looked happy for some reason.
"You think so? Maybe because you don't know what it means," his expression looked dark for a while there.
"Zephyr, can be the Greek God of the West Wind of if could mean a slight wind. The first name was beautiful, but. . ." Eljeric didn't try to continue his words for he knows that it might hurt Zephyr's feelings.
"Isn't it great?!" Tj exclaimed not knowing what's with the atmosphere.
Lyka smacked him in the back once again, "You are really insensitive! Zephyr, which means a slight wind was indeed, a pretty name, but not if paired with 'Zilch'. The words combined together means 'An empty slight wind'!" Lyka explained, also being insensitive herself. The couple are a weird bunch.
"You shouldn't say it like that, Lyka," Eljeric warned, but his face was smiling sincerely.
"Sorry, it's a bit insensitive of me," she apologized right away. A bit?
Being a slight wind was enough. Yes, it was enough for Zephyr, but his gentleness in skins of beings became a void, it was way more further than enough. It's hurting he's feelings knowing the meaning of his name. He can't do anything, he was bound to the family of Zilch.
"I don't really mind it, it's my name anyways." He just smiled it away not giving a care.
"You should be like that! Name are also blessings, it should not be insulted," seeing Eljeric's bright personality, Zephyr's face brightened up along with himself. He was appreciating Eljeric's truthful words and smiled while slightly blushing.
"Well then, we should go there," Tj pointed at the Northern Great Forest holding into ma map in his hand.
"Where'd you get that?" Eljeric asked.
"Oh, this? My magic can make any maps of places I've been for a wide radius, the bigger the place, the more mana it takes," The explained.
"I don't think I have one, though," Eljeric was confused.
"Can't you control time?" Zephyr spoke.
"Oh, that? It's this," Eljeric said handing a small pendant in their center that has a clock with eight arms with it.
"It's a pendant infused with magic that can only be activated by our family." I added.
"Your family might be strong," Lyka wondered. This doesn't look like a man of figure.
"Now, let's get going," Zephyr calmly persuades us with his indifferent look of calmness and gentleness
*Northern Great Forest*
"What the hell?!" Tj looked frightened.
In front of them, they could see people commiting suicide and some others hanging. Some are stabbing themselves and even cutting their heads or abdomen making blood splatter through the green trees and it's beautiful barks tainting them the blood of different species making the place looked like a herd of serial killers came passing by.
"It's inside the forest," Lyka spoke as her eyes are shut close.
Her ability make her see what's near her in a certain radius if she sees darkness anyone of a way to do so is to close her eyes. Which means, every second that she blinks her eye, she accidentally sees something. Maybe a blink is just to fast making her unable to see properly.
"What is?" Zephyr asked sternly.
"My ayes can't see that much of a picture, but I can see it as a colorless picture. For what I see, it's a Species called Inuus." Lyka trembles I'm fear making everyone think it's a grim picture there.
"In coming! From the front!" Lyka suddenly exclaimed.
"Get ready!" Zephyr also shouted.
The three gets to their stances, ready for the fight. Most likely, Lyka was sensed looking at them so everyone knew that she was the target of enemy so they surrounded them.
Eljeric wore his gauntlets and brought out his daggers getting ready from any attacks from the rear as he guards it. The formation they made are for the reason to protect Lyka. Their group is a bit of a great combination itself and it's suited for the formation they made.
Tj, who was facing the enemy's direction, was great at offense if the enemy is near and Zephyr is great at long-range with his water manipulation so he's suited to b in the center or between the front and back. Lyka, who was the one to predict their attacks and fast movements should be in the center to guide or be the brain of the group and for another reason, she was not suited for battle and lastly, Eljeric, who is great at long-range with his daggers and short-range to protect the rear for surprise attacks and he has a item that gives him a passive skill that can slow down the speed or enhance the speed of a chosen person's in a certain radius should stick with the defensive, passive skill users and long-range persons to protect them.
Fast as hell, a large dog came attacking to strike Lyka, but suddenly, realizing it, Eljeric suddenly drawn his hand towards the Dog creature to make its movement slower and Tj came slicing it into tiny pieces.
Using gestures and chanting your magic or skill and not makes a huge difference. Not using gestures or chanting can bring out only an average strength you posses, but chanting and gesturing can bring out your current power's full strength.
"Be on guard, Inuus travel in a pack like wolves!" Tj, the hunter expert, warns them.
Inuus are one of the 18 races. They are known as the Dog Group for they are all dogs from different bloods, races, types and breeds, like hyenas being included to the dogs for they are closed to them and people even misunderstood them as cats. Hyenas are hot-blooded, so fights are usually coming from those who thought that they are cats.
Without a second thought, the others came out growling, and saliva coming out of their mouths filled with strong-looking fangs. Even their killing intent are revealed in their eyes. Desire, malice, hunger for blood, flesh and death can be properly seen through.
"This is bad. Zephyr, can you restrain even just a few?" The asked worriedly, but not shown except for the fact that sweat are dripping from his face.
Zephyr nodded, "About just eight at most." Tj nodded after he said it. There are currently twelve of them right now exempting the the Superior. Superior are those who are the strongest amongst them all.
"These guys are no different than monsters, we should finish them off," Eljeric said with a look of determination with no mixture of conscience and hesitation in it. Indeed, this are just a pack of brainless beasts that killed a lot by just coming here knowing that humans who are easy to kill are here.
"I'll be best not to. You'll be betting your life as a price if you do that," another dog whose bigger than the others came out of the bushes showing up all high and mighty looking down at them for it only seemed to overpower them in terms of size, physical strength and defense.
"Attack!" It ordered it's minions and it came straight to them without a second thought about the order.
Zephyr restrained the big dogs with his water manipulation and Tj came dealing with the restrained ones and Eljeric are the one to deal with the rest.
Eljeric said as he came through the dogs attacking one by one, "Either way, we're betting our life, not just here, but also all throughout the game." His words made the Superior burst in anger.
"You little...!" His face looked really funny right now in every angle you look at, from the front to the back.
Before the leader realized, his minions were already wiped out to the number of zero and blood and heads were splattered into everywhere. The black color that taints the three boys makes them look more scary and the atmosphere very grim that it scared the shit our of the damned so-called fearsome figure of a superior.
Before it tried to attack and the three regained their ground and defense, the dog committed suicide by cutting it's own body with it's sharp claws causing different internal organs to show and spurt with blood.
"The forest kills those who it sees, we need to get out," Eljeric calmly said as they started running away from they are standing at.
*Eastern Fall*
Their next destination after surviving the forest unharmed by it was the Eastern Fall where there is an upsidedown falls.
"What the hell is this?! Not again!" Tj looked really weird that everyone chuckled a little before regaining their posture. Many people were dragged to the falls and gets their body sliced in half when they reached the falls' end and falls with their organs barely intact and staining the water with different hues from the different bloods of different species. Seeing that, they skipped and tried the other place.
*Western Crumbling Town*
Reaching there, then felt like they were more assured going to the forest than this. Every body who came closer to a certain radius gets themselves turn into ashes and gets pulled into the sphere core. One wrong step and they're dead.
"Let's leave," Tj couldn't hide his frustration anymore and shown his face all funny-looking as he's shivering.
*Southern Empty Grassland*
As they were back from zero, they felt a rumbling on the ground. They looked from behind and saw giant boulders coming towards them, and luckily, they're are able to evade the second one.
"Ahhh!!!" A voice of a girl with no partner with her near the four were seen along with others with partners and none was heard as she got crushed into bits as left marks of blood in one of the many boulders rolling everywhere.
"We should run!" A guy with no partner exclaimed as he also got smashed and his corpse as a loosed body and broken organs and blood covering his everywhere.
"I'll stay with you no matter what!" A guy hugged his girlfriend as they got crushed by the boulder, but one thing was odd, there were no blood stained in the boulder making Eljeric stop, filled with confusion.
"Watch out!" Tj pushed Eljeric forgetting the fact that he's handcuffed with Lyka and gets crushed by the boulder leaving no traces behind.
The information was too much to be processed by Eljeric, but he came back to his senses after being touched by Zephyr in the shoulder, "Eljeric!" he called out.
"I know now, the ones to survive are those who are a couples and boyfriend and girlfriends!" A guy exclaimed and got smashed into bits for he has no pair
"Let's do it!" A guy said as he put the other handcuff on another girl with him and let themselves get crushed. It didn't work and instead, blood was seen on the boulder.
One thing was certain gl Eljeric so he stated it out to Zephyr, "Those who are already legal are those to survive!"
Zephyr replied, "How do we survive?"
"Do you have permission from your parents about getting to date someone?" Zephyr wondered about the question.
"Well, yeah. They said I can whoever it is, though, why?" He answered, then asked.
"Well then, I have no family now, so. . ." Eljeric stopped for a while, then put his handcuffs on Zephyr and did the same with Zephyr's, "Be my boyfriend," his words started to be understood by Zephyr.
"Okay," he replies right on time before getting smashed by two boulders at the same time.
