I never once thought my life would turn out like this.One day I'm just a normal girl living a normal life though not perfect and then l learn about this new world that l never knew existed
My dad pulled up at this humongous school that looked like it belonged in a vampire movie or something.
l didn't want to say goodbye but l had to .l always felt different from other kids and l guess it's because of this
I was a witch ,well half witch but a witch nonetheless.l was on my way from the headmistress's when l saw him .
Eyes so red l thought l was hallucinating.l don't know when and how he got to me but the next thing l know he was next to me .
"You shouldn't be here"he said making me confused
Chapter 1
*Savanna Rowan*
I had another episode today.A table crushed under my touch which was so not normal.
These things started like a week ago after my 18th birthday .l didn't want to tell my parents about it but it looks like l have to .
I got home from school when I noticed that the house was eerily quiet.
"Mom I'm home"l shouted
"We're in the living room sweetie"she shouted back
I made my way to the living room .
Something was wrong somewhere.Mom and dad looked uncomfortable which is unlike them
"Good afternoon mom, dad"l greeted
"Afternoon sweetie how was your day,"he asked
"Weird you won't believe what happened today,"l say
"tell us later mom has something important she wants to tell you"he says looking at mom .This looked kind of serious
"Are you pregnant,"l ask cause that's the first thing that came to my mind
"What ,no ,"She says and finally breathed .It would be very embarrassing for me if my mom is pregnant at this age
"umm umm honey l think you would explain it better,"she said standing up
"ok ,"he sighed.
"there is no easier way to say this but but Sophie you're a witch ,"he said and l just looked at him as if he was speaking in an alien language "
"huh what do you mean I'm a witch .You mean like those scary grandma's who fly on brooms and have green skin wearing creepy black clothes and a pointy hat,"l joked
"no like a real witch not from a fairytale,"mom finally spoke
"haa hilarious you got me there,"l laughed but they didn't join me .This seemed kind of serious
"I'm afraid we're not kidding sweetie you're a witch"
"That's impossible ,I mean witches don't exist and you guys are clearly human ,"l say but started doubting it when l remembered the things that have been happening to me lately
"Actually I'm a warlock,mom is human ,"dad says
"How come I've never seen you use magic,"l asked still not believing them
"because I've spent too much time here in the human world that my powers faded,"he says
"wait you're actually serious,"l ask
"Yes "
"well that explains why l have these ridiculous powers,"l said
"What ridiculous powers,"mom asks
"l have these episodes when things get destroyed under my touch and sometimes I'm able to control things with just the movement of my hands . thought l was imagining things ,"l explained
" when did it start,"dad asks
"Ever since my birthday,"l said biting my lower lip
"And you didn't think to tell us ,"mom said
"l didn't know what was going on and l didn't want you guys to fuss over me like you always do ,"l defend myself
" You're our daughter of course we will fuss over you ,"dad says
"And that's exactly what l didn't want .Well tell me more about this witch thing am l going to have a wand ,"l say excitedly
"well yes but ,"dad starts .
"but what ,"l ask my excitement fading
"You have to go to the school of magic,"he says scratching his head
"There is a school for that ,cool ,"l say excitedly
"Yes but it's pretty far from here and mom and l won't be able to visit you until the holidays,"he says
"Good thing I'm graduating next week ,"l say
" You're not sad,"mom asks
"No why would I be,"l ask confused
" You won't be seeing us for like 3 to 4 months,"mom adds
"Not really but I will miss you,"l say
"We were worried for nothing then ,"dad says
"mmm so what do l need for magic school .Oh l need to tell Andrea about this "
"You can't tell her,"mom says
"Why she has to know that I'm going to disappear for like 3 months"
The human world doesn't know that magic exists and they would like to keep it that way

"The council of magic"dad says

"Just don't tell anyone and make the most of your time together,"
"Ok can l go now l need to go shopping for the dress l will wear on graduation,l say standing up
"Sure sweetie"she says and l went to my room to get the money but before that l heard dad say "she took it well ,l wasn't expecting that "
And mom replied "she is not a little girl anymore"
l decided not to listen to the rest of their conversation.
l took my money ,went to get Andrea a to her house and we went shopping .She was totally excited as l was for graduation but for different reasons.
