Chapter 5 - Rejection and Possessiveness.

Hearing the words the original wished to hear, Shinji felt nothing; he didn't have plans to participate in the holy grail war, and he even wished for the war to end right at this moment.

He felt that something was off. He knew how much Rin disliked him and how little she trusted him. It was fair; he wouldn't trust his old self either.

Shinji then said, "Tohsaka-san, I'm happy to hear that, but I'm not a master nor do I have anything to wish from the grail."

He still had control over Rider, or so he still believed he had, but he was planning to give it back to Sakura when he got back to his house.

From his past life, he knew the grail was twisted in nature, and his system looked better, he now had a magic circuit, he could learn magic, something "he" always wished for.

Being rejected by Shinji, Rin felt her hope to break the loop she saw in her visions dim.

Worst than that, it's the same Shinji who tried to violate her. She didn't like him; just looking at him was enough to make her blood boil. But aside from Shirou, he was the only one she could partner with.¹

Being rejected by Shinji was the last thing she would have expected.

Then she opened her mouth and tried to say that Shinji would die without her help, surely, how Shinji is a coward, he would run to get her protection, and with her knowledge of the future, she could even get Saber to her.

But her mouth couldn't make any sound, almost like something was blocking her words; she couldn't feel any magic doing it.

"Tohsaka-san, it's cold, can I go? We can talk tomorrow at school if you wish so" Said Shinji, still with Taiga on his back, seemingly sound asleep.

"Ah... Yes..." Rin couldn't keep him there; she could use Archer, but she somehow couldn't feel that Shinji had a servant. The only change was that his presence was looking stronger.

"Maybe... Sakura?" Rin thought.

She knew that Sakura, the true Master of Rider, might become her partner. But deep down, she also knew she wouldn't. Sakura would never try to hurt Shirou.

Which meant Rin would have to fight alone.

Her expression was grim. She knew her only way to win this was by becoming an ally of Shirou. Archer was strong, but He wouldn't beat Berserker or Gilgamesh.

Shinji disappeared from her vision, then a tanned man with white hair appeared on her side.

"Do you want me to kill him?" Said the man, Archer, her servant.

Her servant was keeping is true identity from her, being of the archer class, the class with independent action who doesn't need to hear their master's orders.

But she knew his true self and what he planned to do.

- Emiya Residence -

Who opened the door surprised Shinji; it wasn't Shirou, but someone he knew well.

His foster sister, Sakura, had a smile on her face.²

"Nii-san, you brought Taiga-san home. Shirou and I were worried." Showing a relieved expression after seeing Taiga on Shinji's back.

... A sudden chill gripped him.

He didn't know why she was colder than earlier today. She was timid, but now, she looked like your average sister meeting her brother.

Trying to look normal, Shinji wore an annoyed expression and said, "Heh... You're here. It was a long walk from school to here. Where's her room?"

Sakura didn't change her expression, just said "Follow me, Nii-san"]

Following Sakura, he soon reached a bedroom. Sakura got Taiga's futon and prepared it on the floor quietly.

Shinji then slowly put her on top, placing his hand on her head and then on his own to feel their temperature. He said, "Can you change her clothes? You know... as I'm too annoyed for it"

After he said that, he felt another chill on his back, but then he heard "Yes, Nii-san."

Shinji got out of the room.

Walking back to the living room, planning to go back home to wait for Sakura.

-Inside Taiga's bedroom-

A woman crawled out of the shadows, Rider.

"He's really different..." Said Taiga.

"That's good, isn't it? Nii-san is finally recovering and trying to become better." Said Sakura, feeling Taiga's temperature.

She quickly removed Taiga's clothes, revealing her naked body. Taiga's body could rival Rider's, but couldn't rival her own.

Rider could notice that Sakura wasn't telling the complete truth.

Even more, she felt that both brothers were highly possessive of one another in the strangest way.

-Shinji-

Shinji was going out of the house, but when he was opening the door, he saw a blonde girl with green eyes, smaller than him, which made him think how weird it was to think of her as one of the strongest servants in this Holy Grail War.

Not only was she small, but her body didn't look strong at all.

'Is she really a knight?' He thought.

'But she should only have appeared after Lancer tried to hunt Shirou... I was at school but didn't hear a fight happen, and Sakura was here... how?'

He felt that something had changed from the story he knew.

He didn't do anything different, and so he came to a conclusion. 'Maybe that was the punishment for my refusal to use Sakura's body as a toy?'

Behind Saber was Shirou, who was surprised to see Shinji in his house.

"Hey Shinji, did you come to get Sakura?" Shirou said with a smile.

Shinji was about to say he was going home.

And just then, rain started pouring.

¹ Btw I just wrote it based on memory, I don't properly remember him actually trying to do it, He probably did, and then Lancer either killed him or hurt him, it's been quite long since I last read or watched any of the original series, I play FGO tho, anyway, knowing Nasu love for NTR he probably did...

²Just saying, I'm too lazy to go back and edit the first four chapters right now. So, ignore how she acted toward Shinji earlier. I'm going with more of a Carnival Phantasm-style Sakura for her character now.I might go back and revise the earlier chapters after this one is released, just to avoid future plot holes. If not, consider it a soft retcon.

I will make Shinji the only character to not use "san" or "kun" to make him look rude, he doesn't realise it, and the other characters know Shinji just ignores it, and the same with some characters when referring to Shinji.
