What method can Su Yuchen use to avoid Tia Yufei's suspicions about knowing her secret and to have more interaction with her to validate the method of breaking the 'misfortunes'?
To make her feel that she can control him.
How can he make her think that way?
Showing the 'I am weak' demeanor.
Mastering excellent acting skills is a technical job.
Holding breath to blush and panting easily fakes a nervous demeanor, fitting the shy, inexperienced virgin image of someone who hasn't interacted with girls much.
Sneaking a glance at Kristia, Su Yuchen lowered his head slightly. Her golden hair was tied into a low ponytail behind her head, shining in the sunlight. Her eyes of the same color looked at him through the lenses with a hint of caution, fair skin, a calm expression.
Because graduate students can opt-out of wearing uniforms, she was dressed in casual wear.
Quite simple, entirely different from last night's sexy charm. But undeniable, no matter how she hides her true self, she's still beautiful.
If it weren't for seeing her graduate ID, he wouldn't have recognized this person in front of him with changed appearance and voice as the seductive vampire from last night.
Her acting was on par with his. She clearly knew him but didn't reveal a thing… or perhaps, this chance encounter was also planned by her.
"Sorry," he repeated once more, his voice even lower, "I-I didn't mean to."
"Not on purpose?" Kristia snorted. "Was my phone call volume low? Isn't slowing down at a corner common sense? And now you're saying it wasn't on purpose?"
"I-I didn't…" Su Yuchen lowered his head, not knowing how to defend himself.
A hint of a smile flashed in Kristia's eyes. If it were any other guy behaving like this, she'd think he's quite weak, but Su Yuchen in front of her, compared to last night, had this contrasting 'adorable and cute' feeling.
And now was a good time to test.
So, with a stern face, she said, "You deliberately bumped into me and want to leave without apologizing. I'll make sure everyone knows you intentionally harassed me, you pervert."
Finishing her words, she turned around and began walking away.
With her reputation at the school, she had plenty of ways to make life difficult for this freshman.
But if Su Yuchen knew she was the vampire from last night, he wouldn't chase after her, as he also had his leverage, so he wouldn't fear her accusing him!
But if he didn't know, then…
"Don't…"
Feeling her wrist being firmly grasped, Kristia turned back, staring at Su Yuchen. "Let go!"
Su Yuchen's forehead was sweating. "I-I really didn't hear you making a phone call. You…you can't defame me like this…"
Seeing his reaction, Kristia was now 90% sure that this guy didn't find her graduate card.
Gulp.
Involuntarily swallowing, his sweat made the scent more intense… The strong fragrance enveloped his whole body, making her almost unable to control herself.
She wanted to take a bite.
"Really not intentional?" Kristia's tone softened.
Su Yuchen hurriedly nodded. "Really, truly."
"You're still holding onto me?"
As if receiving an electric shock, Su Yuchen quickly released Kristia's wrist and stepped back a few paces. "S-sorry, sorry."
Calming down her restless body due to his scent, Kristia looked at him. "What's your name? Which year? Which department?"
"Su Yuchen, freshman, Magic Engineering Department."
Promptly answering in a low voice, Su Yuchen heard Kristia's feigned surprise, "Oh, so you're a new student."
If you can pretend, I can too.
Su Yuchen looked surprised and glanced at Kristia. "You're a senior?"
"Don't I look like one?"
"Se-senior, you're not wearing a uniform. I thought you were like me, a freshman."
"Do I look very young?" She paused, then quickly changed her tone to a cheerful one, "I'm a graduate student, of course I can choose not to wear a uniform."
Su Yuchen widened his eyes, seemingly surprised that the person in front of him was not a bachelor but a master's student.
"Freshman, right?" Kristia crossed her arms, looking at him. As he couldn't withstand her direct gaze and lowered his head, she snorted, "Why didn't you apologize after bumping into me?"
"I-I did apologize."
"Speak louder." Kristia took a step forward, leaning slightly.
The sudden closeness startled Su Yuchen , making him step back quickly. He glanced up at Kristia, his face reddening further. "I-I-I did apologize… M-Maybe you didn't hear me."
"Apologize louder." Kristia took another step forward, her golden eyes behind the lenses showing some aggression. "Why didn't you apologize to me louder?"
"B-Because…" Su Yuchen's eyes flickered, involuntarily taking another step back, struggling to form a coherent sentence.
"Not good with girls?" Kristia stated what she thought he wanted to say.
Su Yuchen hurriedly nodded, indicating that she was right.
Kristia snorted softly, recalling his skillful performance like a flower field veteran last night... and now, unable to talk to a girl?
Who's he trying to fool?
But indeed, he didn't seem like the person who found her graduate card.
"Su Yuchen, do you talk to all girls like this?"
Su Yuchen nodded quickly, then immediately shook his head.
Nodding and shaking, what did that mean?
Is he only nervous around pretty girls and not nervous around the ones he finds unattractive?
Su Yuchen glanced at Kristia and added, "It's okay if the girl isn't human."
"???" Kristia was puzzled for a moment before asking, "So, non-human girls aren't considered girls?"
"Are they?" Su Yuchen raised his head, speaking more fluently, "If you saw a little female dog on the roadside, senior, would you consider it a girl?"
"Leaving aside hybrids, other non-humans… for example, vampires, even though they may look human, are they human?"
"No, so…" Su Yuchen spoke faster, "In my eyes, female vampires are like the little female dogs on the roadside, female but not counted as women."
