Alpha Caelen gritted his teeth. If Damon wasn't a royal and a Lycan, he would have fought him to the death, but there was no chance of survival for him.
"This is just a warning to all of you. Touch what belongs to me, and this is what you will get," Damon said menacingly.
Even Maddie stopped in her tracks, whimpering from the pressure.
"I don't care if you treat her like family or not, but anyone that hurts her will have to go through me first," Damon added.
I looked up at him, my eyes welling upon hearing his words. This was the most touching thing I had heard in my life, though it was said in a cold way.
Has he fallen for me? Because if he hadn't, he wouldn't have gone this far for me, straining his relationship with other Alphas. Am I this special to him?
Alpha Caelen turned to me, his eyes softened a little when they landed on me.
