It was gloomy day for both Grandpa and grandma Gandon despite Grandpa Gadon birthday approaching, they are not so happy, their grandson may not be attending the party, he will surely not come, they are sure of it now after Grandma Gadon meeting with him.
"I'm still wondering Sara, what made the boy like this?" Grandpa Gadon said thoughtfully "Is it the death of his parents?" He asked though not expecting an asnwer, he knows well the answer to his own question.
When Tiana, Gad's mother died, Both Gad Leon his father which is their son was devastated, so much that Leon their son resulted in drinking to pump. He came home most of the night drunk, and one day he was too drunk and got himself killed while driving back home in a fatal accident.
Gad didn't shed a tears, despite crying so much when his mother had died, this worry his grandparents and they took him to hospital for check up to see if everything was okay with him, but the Doctor said he is perfectly fine, but Gad's grandarents still fear for Gad not showing any emotion. Till today he as been devoid of any emotions, he rarely smile and when he does, he force it.
When Gad became of age and took over the company, things became worst. He is iron harsh CEO and everyone fear him, even in the dark world business. And he was never seen with a woman, they had try to match make him but to no avail, all the girls finally give up when then can get any emotion out of him. But his grandparents never gives up, they belive with time he will finally find someone to catch his attention, so Gad move out of the family mansion when they won't stop trying to link him up with a girl, and ge hardly visits. He had only visits twice in the past five years.
"Do you think the boy is still grieving for his parents?" Asked Grandma Gandon
"Do we ever stop grieving our dead love ones?" Grandpa Gadon replied With a sad expression. He remember how hurtful it was to experience the death of his daughter in law and son respectively in a short period of time. He thought he might die too, but he had to survive for his other Son Lampard and his late son's child Gad.
Not knowing what is going on in his grandparents room, jimi walk into the oblivious to the gloomy mood they are in, he informed them of the good news he brought to them.
"Grandma, Grandpa. Just got a call from my Dad, he will be in Zara by this time tomorrow with mom and Mimi" He informed his grandparents.
"Oh, that's good" Grandpa Gadon reply with no much care. That's when Jimi notice the unhappiness In their face.
"What's going on? Wait don't tell me the party is cancelled "
"It's about Gad not coming to the party, trying to bury himself with work so as to hide from pain. " Grandma Gadon clarified
"Oh!" Jimi said then his face brighten as an idea struck him.
"There is a way to make him Come" jimi said
"Really!!" Both Grandma and Grandpa choruses
"The thing is there's this girl in the company we just employed her, and I think Gad might like her."
"Gad like a girl?" Grandma Gadon asked not believing what jimi said.
"Yes Grandma, he as been taking h extra care of this girl and as been giving her privileges he is not giving other staffs"
"Are you sure about this" Grandpa Gadon asked not totally believing.
"Yes I am" Jimi assured
"But I don't see how this link with Gad coming to the party" Grandma Gadon said.
"All we have to do is invite all the high rank staffs in the company, if this girl attend the party Gad will surely do too" jimi explained to his grandparents.
