Eyes turned to her as Lola walked into the decorated hall where the party would be held. 'Who is she?' Asked the ladies and gentlemen present at the event, but no one knows. Leon led her to a secluded corner away from the prying eyes. The Stare was too much, Lola was only able to keep her composure because of her experience in the social gathering of prominent people, since her family was in the middle class category of family in Zara before she left five years ago.
"Here," said Leon, by her side, as he handed her a glass of champagne.
"Thank you," Lola muttered and sipped the champagne.
"Hope it's not too overwhelming?" Leon asked.
"A little, I must say," Lola replied with a nervous smile.
"You are doing fine," Leon tried to encourage her, making her smile.
"All the stares don't seem to affect you," she pointed out.
"I'm used to this kind of gathering."

They continued talking in a similar conversation when Jimi approached them.
"Miss Lola, happy you can make it," Jimi stated the moment he got to them.
Lola smiled brightly at him, " Thank you for inviting me."
"You are welcome, if you don't mind, my Grandparents would like to meet you."
"Grandpa and Grandma Gandon?" Lola asked to be sure, as it caught her by surprise, while Leon frowned in displeasure.
"Yes. The thing is, Miss Lola, our CEO Gad Gadon, has taken a lot of consideration to your needs since you joined the company, so my Grandparents want to meet the mysterious woman who has caught the attention of their coldhearted Grandson," Jimi explained.
"Oh," Lola blushed slightly, "your Grandparents are wrong, I mean, I haven't even met this Gad Gadon myself, so I can't catch his attention in the way they meant". Lola replied
"Tell that to them when you meet them," Jimi said. "Shall we?" Jimi put his arm out for Lola to take while Leon stared daggers at him, his expression saying You will regret it.
"Lola took Jimi's arm as he led her out of the hall to the main mansion while pretending not to see Leon's stare."
They walk through the long hallway connecting to the main building. Hand in hand. "Seems you are close to Leon," Jimi asked
"He is a good guy," she replied.
"You seem to like him."
"What's there about him not to like?" She replied with a smile.
They got to the main building of the Gadon family, and Jimi pushed the door open. "After you," He said, courtesy. Lola nodded and stepped in.
The Gadon's Sitting room was more than Lola had expected, even though she expected a classic sitting room that fit their status. The sitting room stretched with a soaring ceiling, with tall and arched windows, and a polished floor.
At the center stood cushion of cream and brown colour matching the colour of the wall.
Two figures walk in to the sitting room. 'They must be Grandma and Grandpa Gadon' Lola thought. The man was and had blonde hair that acompany his grey mustache. He bear similarities with Jimi, and strangely even Leon but she shook it off. Her eyes move to the woman who as a black shoulder length hair which most as turn grey out of old age, she is short when compare to her husband , but generally she is not a short woman.
"Grandma, Grandpa meet Miss Lola, Gad's new secretary". Jimi introduced "Miss Lola meet the patriarch and matriarch of the Gadon's family "
"It nice to meet you both, sir and ma" Lola said politely with a smile. Grandpa Gadon shook her hand, while Grandma Gadon gave her a short hug.
"She is so beautiful, no wonder Little Gad took likings to her" Grandma Gadon said in a complimentary tone.
Lola felt shy and embarrassed at the fact the old woman believes her grandson whom she had yet to meet took likings to her. "Thank you ma" she managed to reply to the old woman Gadon's compliment.
