Chapter 3 - Chapter - 3

I woke up the next morning, still thinking about the dream I had last night. It was a combination of my past lives. Surprisingly, I had destroyed entire worlds—just because I lost someone precious. Whether it was due to nobles or the damned rules of the world, I lost control. Sometimes, I took revenge by killing every living being in those worlds.

Why the hell am I having these dreams?

As I was lost in thought, I accidentally broke the clay jar while pouring water to drink. Was it supposed to be this weak? I paid for breaking it, left the inn, and headed toward the guild to take on a quest.

I picked a quest to subjugate some lone wolves again. Then, I remembered a magic spell that could help. I invoked it.

God had given me almost infinite mana—but was it just my imagination, or was it increasing every day… maybe even every moment?

Last night, I had created a Mind Realm—an imaginary world that would serve as a repository for all types of magic, weapons, armor, and technologies from my past lives. It was like a massive library, about 12,000 square kilometers in size. That's even larger than the entirety of Tokyo, which I recall being around 2,100 square kilometers.

This library wasn't just storage—it was directly connected to my mind and automatically extracting memories to fill itself. Even now, it was expanding.

I hadn't yet created a storeroom for the weapons, armor, or tech. I should probably also add a Portrait Room—a place to display my past selves…

While thinking about these things, I had already subjugated the lone wolves. I took their fangs and horns and started heading back when I heard something. My senses were enhanced after coming to this world, so I rushed over to check what was happening.

I saw a broken carriage under attack. There were about ten guards—four were wounded—and two people being protected at the back. Suddenly, enemy reinforcements arrived.

I jumped in to help.

I pulled out Worldripper from my storage—a sword that can cut anything. I used Sand Prison to restrain the enemies and subdued the surrounding monsters that a summoner was calling. Afterward, I healed the guards and asked if the people they were protecting were safe.

"We thank you for helping us," one of them said. "I am Celestine Ironhart, the Court Mage of the Belfort Kingdom. And this is Her Highness, Princess Seyra Belfort. We were returning from the academy to the capital when we were ambushed."

"Wait," I asked, "why didn't you use magic if you're the court mage?"

"I couldn't," she replied. "The enemies were using an artifact that interfered with my casting. But it looks like you have far more mana than me, because the artifact has its limits. It can only restrict magic within a certain range and threshold. If your mana exceeds that, it doesn't affect you."

"This is only the second time I've seen someone like you… someone whose mana can bypass such restrictions."

She paused, then added, "These people were definitely sent by someone. Artifacts like that are extremely rare and can't be crafted anymore—they're only found in ancient ruins."

"So… what will you all do now?" I asked, glancing at their broken carriage.

"It'll take time to fix it," Celestine replied. "Are you an adventurer?"

"Oh, yes. You can call me Ryo."

"What's your current rank?"

"Blue, right now. Why?"

"I'm thinking of giving you an escort quest—from here to the capital. Can you guard us?"

"I guess I can."

After the conversation, we headed to the guild. I submitted proof of completing the lone wolf subjugation quest. Meanwhile, the court mage filed an escort quest request, asking me to protect them on the journey to the capital.

I accepted.

The reward was 15 gold coins, which surprised me—but considering I was escorting a princess, it made sense.

Then we departed.

I laid atop the moving carriage, watching the skies. The guards rode horses beside us, while the princess and court mage sat inside. I had activated Search Magic to detect any approaching monsters or hostile individuals.

The attackers from earlier were being transported in a prison carriage behind us. They would be interrogated once we reached the capital.

It would take around two weeks to get there.

While we were traveling, I started focusing on my Mind Realm again. The library was still expanding, even now. I figured I should probably add more later—but then another thought crossed my mind.

I also have knowledge of advanced technology, don't I?

I dug a bit deeper and confirmed it—there were countless pieces of advanced tech stored in my memories. I could even create ores or forge any kind of metal using machines. There were automatic potion-making factories too, capable of producing any type of potion. I guess that was from a life where I had used my modern-world knowledge in a different world.

So this isn't my first time being transmigrated, huh?

Then, I stumbled upon memories from a completely different and advanced world—one that had artificial intelligence, robots, warships, battle fortresses, and much more. The sheer flood of information made my head ache.

Maybe I should create something to help manage this… I thought.

While I was deep in thought, the court mage called out to me.

"Ryo, are you okay up there? The carriage isn't very stable. If you're uncomfortable, you should come down."

"Nah, I'm fine here," I replied casually, still lying on the roof.

But then I sensed something odd.

One of the guards had used an incense stick—one that releases a special kind of smoke that attracts monsters.

Without hesitation, I jumped down from the carriage, restrained the guard, and explained the situation to the others. They were shocked, but quickly got into a defensive stance.

Soon after, the monsters arrived—far more than I expected. Bears, tigers, wolves… and even some creatures I hadn't seen before.

I summoned Worldripper again and went on the offensive. One by one, I killed them all, then stored their corpses in my storage space.

After everything had calmed down, Celestine looked at me curiously.

"You can use storage magic?" she asked.

"Yes, I can," I replied.

"You remind me of someone I know. His mana also surpassed mine, and he could use both storage and teleportation magic."

For some reason, the image of Saito flashed through my mind.

Saito…? Could it be him? Or maybe not. What are the chances, anyway?

I didn't ask her more about it and simply climbed back onto the carriage roof, once again diving into the endless archives of my Mind Realm.
