Chapter 37 - 36

Chapter 36

"Alys, let's go," Dana called to Alys. They were heading to LAX for their flight back to Mnl. They were staying in LA for two weeks to visit Dane.

"Wait, mommy!" Alys said and ran to Dane's room, who was currently doing his homework. He was already in grade 8 at the boarding school he was attending.

"What again?" Dane asked his sister irritably, who since arriving at her Nana's house has done nothing but hug her and kiss her.

"I shall return, Dane my baby brother! I will also meet the girlfriend you are hiding!"

Napa sigh si Dane, "you won't see her until you're a freak."

Alys smiled at Dane's response, "You're really like Palma. Please kiss me!" she said, trying to kiss Dane on the cheek.

"Immoral sister!" Dane said, disgusted because Alys kissed him.

"Hehehe. Bye, Dane! See you soon!"

And they went to LAX. The past two weeks were eventful if Drake was with her. But what? Oceans only had four dramas. Alys is in LA and Drake is in the Philippines. Wait, what's wrong with Drake?

Drake walked lazily towards the intercom and saw a woman's face.

"What do you want?"

"You. Can I now have you?"

I'm just in the fighting spirit of atey!

"Shut up," Drake said and turned off the intercom for the woman.

Drake just got his things ready. They're going to school tomorrow and everything should be in order. Also, it's a boring day because Alys isn't here. Also, he doesn't even know Alys' number. Weird, right?

After 45 minutes, he went out to buy something to eat when he saw the woman he hadn't seen in a long time.

"Missed me, Palma?"

"Tripp Marco Palma, are you listening to me?!" Tripp's father almost choked on his son's words as he shouted. Tripp was playing Guitar Hero, so the music in the entertainment room was loud.

His father walked to the main outlet and unplugged everything plugged in there.

"What's really your problem?" his father asked him.

"None of your business, pa."

"You didn't even pass the SCA, and you still act like that! Why are you like that?!" his father shouted at him.

Tripp was fed up with his father's yelling so he dropped the guitar and stood up, "If you don't like me, trade children with Uncle Steve. Or better yet, give me back to mom!" And he walked out of the house.

He went to Brent where he was going to study. He didn't pass the SCA like his dad wanted. His dad wanted him to take Business Administration because he would inherit their business. The truth is, he wanted Fine Arts but he didn't want to let him.

While he was walking, he saw a woman walking. Alys Zyril Perez. The girlfriend of his cousin who was his enemy since childhood. He knew Alys because she knew everything about Drake. As they say, 'you must know who your enemies are.'

He deliberately approached Alys because she looked lost, "Excuse me, Miss, do you need something?"

Alys looked at him and smiled, "Where is the Registrar's Office? I lost my schedule for tomorrow.."

"The offices on campus are closed. What course are you in?"

"Culinary Arts."

Tripp nodded, "I know someone at the office, I'll just send you your schedule, do you want it?"

Alys smiled broadly, "Really?? You're so kind!"

"Anything for a pretty lady. Ano nga full name mo pati email add?"

Alys told Tripp the information he was asking for.

"Thank you very much, huh? What's your name?"

Tripp held out his hand, "Tripp. Tripp Marco," he deliberately didn't say his last name. He wasn't lying... he just didn't say the whole thing.

"Thanks, Tripp!" Alys said happily as she ran away. She still had jet lag but she really needed her schedule. It wasn't on the website and she didn't even know the number to the admin office.

'I really approve of your taste, Drake. Let's be cousins,' Tripp said to himself while watching Alys walk away.
