In Kumogakure, the hidden village in the Land of Lightning.
Bang!
In a secluded area near the edge of the village, a young Cloud Ninja was frantically destroying everything around him.
The only house behind him had turned into ruins, with some remnants still burning.
As he flailed around, the ground was left in a mess, with pits at least half a person's height everywhere.
His eyes bloodshot and senses seemingly lost, blue cat - demon - patterned ChakraChakra emerged on his body with a blue tail behind him, and his hair stood up and moved without wind.
He opened his mouth and spat out a ball of blue flames, which suddenly attacked a place not far away.
Bang!
The blue flames bloomed on the red barrier. After the barrier rippled, it returned to calm.
Seeing that his Fire ReleaseFire Release had no effect, the young man launched his next attack.
"Roar~"
A low, beast - like sound came from the young man's throat. He exerted a little force with his feet and shot towards the barrier like a cannonball.
Several masked Cloud Ninjas around were maintaining a red barrier, trapping him inside, looking completely unconcerned.
The young man's right fist was wrapped in blue ChakraChakra and he punched the barrier hard.
There was no sign of the barrier being broken at all.
"What's taking the Sealing Team so long?"
The several Cloud Ninjas even had the time to chat, apparently used to this situation.
They don't take the JinchūrikiJinchūriki's rampage seriously at all. This isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened.
"It happens every month. This is the third time this month."
"No wonder they're not enthusiastic."
Another Cloud Ninja spat and started complaining.
"The Two - Tailed JinchūrikiJinchūriki probably won't last long."
"It's none of our business. Anyway, we've already reported it to the RaikageRaikage - sama."
...
Before long, the Sealing TeamSealing Team from Kumogakure slowly arrived. A group of them subdued the Two - Tailed JinchūrikiJinchūriki and resealed him.
After the young man was resealed, he fainted and was carried by a Cloud Ninja towards the RaikageRaikage Building.
A moment later, they arrived at the RaikageRaikage Building and entered the RaikageRaikage's office without any hindrance.
"How is Jonar?"
The RaikageRaikage was sitting at his desk, and Burubi was standing beside him.
"RaikageRaikage - sama, he won't last long."
"Jonar can't control the Two - Tailed Beast at all. The frequency of his rampages is getting higher and higher."
"At this rate, he..."
The Cloud Ninja reported the situation truthfully.
"It's really a difficult problem. It's just hard on him."
A trace of pain flashed in the RaikageRaikage's eyes. Not lasting long meant that Jonar's life was coming to an end.
As for what would happen after the Two - Tailed Beast emerged, he wasn't worried. He didn't take the mere Two - Tailed Beast seriously.
At worst, he could seal it in the Kohaku no JōheiKohaku no Jōhei. The real problem was choosing a new JinchūrikiJinchūriki.
"Don't blame yourself, RaikageRaikage - sama. He made this choice himself back then."
"We don't want to see this situation either."
As a JinchūrikiJinchūriki himself, Burubi could empathize. He himself often lived in fear.
Fortunately, he was a bit more determined than Jonar, so he hadn't ended up like him.
"Take him down and take good care of him."
The Raikage waved his hand, and the Cloud Ninjas carried Jonar out of the door.
"That plan needs to be put on the agenda."
"It's quite difficult."
Burubi knew what the Raikage meant, as the risk was high.
"There's no other way. We need a perfect Jinchūriki."
"Has the person been decided?"
The Raikage had long instructed Burubi to handle this matter.
"Yes, three Jonin proficient in stealth assassination have been selected."
Burubi pulled out three ninja profiles from a pile of documents on the office desk.
He had reported this long ago, but the Raikage was careless and forgot.
"Alright, send them to Konoha."
"Alive."
The Raikage looked at the profiles of the three Jonin. They had completed their missions excellently and were good at kidnapping.
Burubi had a good eye for picking people!
"Yes."
Burubi took the order and left. The Raikage rubbed his temples.
If there had been a better way, he wouldn't have wanted to take action against Konoha at this time.
Just after the war, the relationship between the villages was still sensitive. He could only hope that these people would succeed and return safely.
For this, he had mobilized all the spies in Konoha, sparing no expense to make this happen.
After this, it would be very difficult to get intelligence from Konoha again.
...
After returning home, Kawaki went straight to the bathroom to take a shower. He still felt a little unsatisfied when he thought of last night's madness.
It was a pity that Tsunade wasn't by his side today.
He quickly finished showering, changed into clean clothes and went to the martial arts training hall.
Before he arrived, he heard Sakumo's high - pitched voice.
"Call Dad, call Dad."
Kawaki looked up and saw his big bro holding Kakashi and sitting in front of the stone table. His sister - in - law was looking on with a smile.
The Ghost Mastiff was playing with a large white mastiff that had grown considerably.
Kawaki walked over and grabbed the white mastiff in one hand. It seemed that the Ghost Mastiff had said something to it in advance.
The white mastiff was very obedient in Kawaki's hand, not daring to bark or bite.
Its two eyes stared fixedly at the Ghost Mastiff, as if saying, "Dad, save me."
The Ghost Mastiff turned its head away. Anyway, it wouldn't lose its life, so there was no need for it to get involved.
"This puppy is much better - looking than the Ghost Mastiff."
"Is it the Ghost Mastiff's child?"
Kawaki turned the puppy over and rubbed its belly. It felt good.
"Woof - woof - woof~"
Hearing this, the Ghost Mastiff was unhappy. It turned its head and growled at Kawaki in a low voice.
The dignity of a male dog was inviolable.
Kawaki picked his ear. It was too complicated. He couldn't understand.
"Sister - in - law, what does it mean?"
Natsuki almost burst out laughing when she heard the Ghost Mastiff's barking. Her husband's younger brother really had a strong influence.
"Blood is thicker than water. This is its own son, and the Ghost Mastiff is willing to stake its life on him."
"Good guy! It's staking its dignity."
"I believe you."
Kawaki looked at the Ghost Mastiff. It was quite tough. It even dared to growl at him to prove it hadn't been cuckolded.
The Ghost Mastiff stopped growling in satisfaction and turned its head again.
Out of sight, out of mind. My son, just bear it for a while.
"Has this puppy been named?"
Kawaki continued to ruffle and pet the puppy. There was a unique pleasure in stroking a puppy.
"Not yet. I'm going to wait until Kakashi grows up a bit and let him choose his own name."
Natsuki wondered why Kawaki, who loved dogs so much, didn't keep one for himself.
"If you really like them, I'll get you one."
Natsuki didn't intend to get him a Ninja Hound. After all, what kind of high - level Ninja Hound would be needed to fight alongside Kawaki? A pet dog would do as a token.
"Woof woof~"
The Ghost Mastiff's eyes lit up. It signaled that it could go fetch one right away.
"No thanks. I only like petting other people's dogs."
Kawaki firmly rejected his sister - in - law's suggestion. He only liked petting dogs, not keeping them.
"Alright then."
Natsuki shrugged her hands, and the light in the Ghost Mastiff's eyes dimmed.
"Here, you stingy guy."
Kawaki returned the white mastiff to the Ghost Mastiff. He had had his fill of petting.
Sakumo was trying hard but hadn't gotten any response from Kakashi.
"Hasn't Kakashi called you yet?"
Kawaki really poked at Sakumo's sore spot. It had been two days since they got back, and Kakashi still hadn't learned to call his dad.
But at least he would let Sakumo hold him.
"You talk too much."
Sakumo gave him a glare and didn't want to be distracted.
He turned around, facing his back to Kawaki, and continued to teach Kakashi to say "dad".
"Has he been like this these two days?"
Kawaki knew his big bro well. He was a tenacious guy.
"Yeah, if Kakashi doesn't call him soon, he'll go crazy."
"He's been distracted during his training these two days."
Natsuki covered her mouth and snickered playfully. Her husband's damned competitive spirit was kind of cute sometimes.
It did relieve some of her burden of holding the baby, but it was a bit scary when he blurted out "Call dad" in his sleep at night.
"Big bro, I've got a good idea for you."
Kawaki rolled his eyes and came up with a sly idea.
"Speak."
Sakumo didn't even turn his head, and a single word just popped out.
He was a bit on guard against Kawaki's so - called good ideas.
"You keep saying 'Call dad, call dad'. That won't work."
"Kids have poor comprehension skills."
"If you just say 'dad', he'll imitate you."
Kawaki said it seriously. Sakumo thought about it and felt there was some truth to it.
"Should I give it a try?"
"Sure, it doesn't cost anything."
Now Kawaki moved to the front. He watched Sakumo with a kind face, with so much fatherly love in his eyes that it was about to overflow.
Kakashi's eyes were rolling around, looking at Kawaki.
"Uncle" blurted out of his mouth, which really pissed Sakumo off.
"Could you please get out of my sight?"
The kindness in Sakumo's eyes was for Kakashi. When he looked at Kawaki, there was nothing but full - blown disgust.
"Okay, I'll step back a bit."
Kawaki took a step back but still stayed within Sakumo's line of sight.
Natsuki quietly picked up the cup in front of Sakumo. It was quite expensive.
"Dad, dad."
Sakumo was teasing Kakashi with a smiling face, trying to melt his little heart that seemed to be turning towards others.
"Hey, good boy, Sakumo~"
Kawaki answered and then bolted away. Staying here would only mean certain doom.
"Haha~"
Natsuki burst into uncontrollable laughter. No matter how well Sakumo defended himself, he still fell into the trap set by his husband's younger brother, Kawaki.
"I'm gonna beat you up!"
Sakumo couldn't move freely while holding Kakashi. Subconsciously, he reached for the cup on the table.
He grabbed at nothing but air, scaring Kakashi half to death.
"Wow-wow~"
"Ooh, my dear son, don't cry, don't cry."
"I'll beat your uncle up when I'm free."
Sakumo suppressed his anger and began to comfort Kakashi.
This damned younger brother really got on his nerves.
Sakumo was glad he had a strong heart; otherwise, he'd probably have died from anger long ago.
"Why didn't you warn me?"
Seeing Natsuki put the cup back, Sakumo knew that his wife had guessed what was going to happen.
"Is it my fault that you weren't paying attention?"
Natsuki tilted her head slightly and blinked her innocent big eyes, instantly defeating Sakumo.
"It's my fault, it's my fault."
Sakumo forced a smile and held Kakashi in his arms even tighter.
As if sensing the deep love between his parents, Kakashi opened his mouth.
"Dad~dad~"
This one word made Sakumo extremely happy. The surprise came unexpectedly.
"Did you hear that? Kakashi can call me dad now."
Sakumo held Kakashi up high. Natsuki beside him smiled even more brightly.
"I heard."
"Hey, good boy, say it again."
"Dad."
Sakumo was so happy that he felt like flying right on the spot. He completely forgot about Kawaki's previous naughty behavior.
