Chapter: 3, Something New
Everyone gathered near Celine and the white crystal ball.
Dain looked around and also saw the three girls in their school uniforms. They all had that youthful charm that will become gorgeous in the next five years.
Dain also noticed the three other male people who were on par with the three Girls.
Aldric, The male Hero, with light yellow hair and green eyes. He is the only one who possessed the title of Hero besides Hestia, and was as strong as her with the SS-tier class. He had a crush on Hestia before coming to this world. He was handsome, charming and had a good nature; there never was anything wrong about him. And he was confused why she didn't accept his approaches.
He never really cared, since at that moment he was confused with his feelings for them. He actually hoped she would be with him, so he can also move on without being too heartbroken.
Caspian, The male counterpart of Azaria. They both had the same class 'Dark Knight'. They were knights that could wield dark magic and were very strong with the class being S-tier. He had black hair with common brown eyes. Before Azaria came to this world, she was sweet, shy and cute, making her the class doll and nobody made her cry.
Kieran, the male counterpart of Penelope with the same class as her, Sage, an S-tier class. He was Penelope's twin brother. While Kieran enjoyed his life with manga and comics, she was busy being the ice beauty of the class. She was the class representative while also being the student council president.
Anyway, after everyone gathered around her, Celine asked everyone to come and touch the crystal one by one.
Kieran, who was the most excited, was the first one to go ahead and calmly touched the crystal. A white light enveloped him and after a few seconds, he removed his hand from the crystal and joined the crowd.
He had a happy look on his face as he didn't say anything to his classmates' questions.
"Please, hurry up. You cannot be here for too long and should awaken first." Celine warned them.
Hearing them, the others also started to go there quickly and touched the crystal one by one. Dain also saw the other five awakening successfully, and soon it was his turn to awaken his class and skill.
He wasn't really thrilled about it since he knew what class and skill he would get. He will get a class, one skill and two attributes. Among which, only one attribute is useful with its rank hidden behind a trashy F-tier.
He couldn't help but sigh dejectedly. Some of his classmates were also confused looking at his dejected expression. Why would you be sad or disappointed when you are going to get magical powers? And Dain hasn't even awakened his powers yet, why was he like that? They all thought as they couldn't think of a reason.
Dain walked towards the crystal and with similar movements to everyone, he touched the crystal. In an instant, he found himself in a dark place, contrary to the white space he was before.
He looked at the space where he got that cursed class and skill and cursed.
"You shouldn't use foul language here, you know?" Celine said, somehow appearing right beside him.
"Ahh… Oh, I forgot you can get here." He let out a scream and quickly calmed down, seeing Celine. He totally forgot that she can interact with him here.
"What do you mean?" She asked, her face showing something other than the practiced smile she wore before, Confusion. She was confused as to how he figured it out that she could interact with them here.
Ignoring his looks, she put her hands on his forehead and a warm feeling entered his head. The feeling was surreal as he felt something dormant in his body igniting and awakening.
Soon, a metallic voice rang in his ears.
[Awakening Successful…]
The familiar sound made him smile involuntarily. Somehow it felt thrilling to experience this once again. As the warm feeling dissipated, Dain opened his eyes and looked at the white space, his hand still rested on the white crystal.
He removed his hand and walked ahead, his face not showing any emotion. As he was walking towards the crown with measured steps, he noticed Hestia looking at him with complicated emotions in her eyes.
He pretended as if he didn't see her and walked ahead. Among the crowd, Penelope walked up to him and with a sweet smile said
"Hey Dain, is your class good?"
He ignored her question and saw that in the distance, Azaria was looking at them with the same complicated yes that Hestia had.
He moved his head towards Celine and ignored all the words Penelope said to him. He had decided.
In this second chance he has received, he would never get close to those six people. No matter what, he would keep his distance, even if what happened in the future had nothing to do with them at present. He doesn't want the possibility to still exist in this life.
Soon, all of their classmates have successfully awakened and gathered together. Celine, making sure no one was left, started to tell them about the world they were about to go to.
Dain noticed a girl in the distance sitting quietly, he had seen everyone go through awakening, but he hadn't seen her anywhere near the awakening crystal.
Confused, he tried to ask about her when Celine quickly changed the topic.
"Okay, so that ends all the things you need to know here, anything else you might need to know can be known from the citizens of the Empire you will be summoned to." With that, she waved her hands and a large green circle covered all the students. With the green light enveloping them, all of them disappeared from the white space.
The woman with dark black hair stood up in the white space and her sweet voice rang out as she looked at Celine with contempt in her eyes.
"Is this actually fun to you?" She asked.
Celine shrugged and replied "It's not my fault you keep getting tangled in this." With another wave of her hand, A green magic circle appeared below the woman and she vanished as well.
Celine's smile vanished as she muttered "This is not good. The calamity is too close."
