Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 - A story from the past

"I guess you boys need something" She said in a cold tone, "but before that, take your seat, we gonna have a long talk" she added, as they both sat down and stared at each other for some while, their face looked worried, "this act you both pulled can get both expelled from this school, but I will pardon you for a reason, so now tell me everything" she demanded, "what do you know about the book" Damien took a bold move, "what book do you speak of", Principal K said, "The Blood Prophecy Book, does that ring a bell" he said, his eyes were fierce, he didn't allow her intimidating look to take the better part of him, while on the other Brian was deep down scared, cause if he gets expelled at any time, he's done for it.

"oh dear, Damien, that book has its story of its own, something you wouldn't want to believe but it's all true" she sighed and added, "tell me everything about the book and how to stop it", "Stop It,…you must be kidding, that book can't be stopped, it has a mind of its own, something really powerful is coming for you Damien, that why we've all been fighting over that book" she added, "you said 'we' who else is fighting for the book" Brian interrupted and asked, "then I guess its story time, lets dive to the past" she smirked but her smile wasn't genuine.

"This story is dated back a long time ago, when we were all still in Eri-doria high school, the sudden news of the book escalated in the school and every immortal soul in Eri-doria wanted that book so badly, it had what we all wanted, spells, magic writing, incantations, the book alone was written by descendants of witches and powers, the last writer of the book died during a wild chaos in Eri-doria", she said before Damien interrupted, "do you mean the greatest witch of all time in Eri-doria, the most powerful foreteller?" Damien eyebrow raised in suspense and anticipation, "yes Damien, she was the last writer of the blood prophecy and there was only one person who was the key in getting that book, and I was her roommate, I begged her to get the book, she refused countless of times, 'that book is not what it seems to be', those were always her words whenever I asked her, "why were you so into the book ?" Brian asked thoughtfully, "The interesting mindset of the book took over me.

As the struggle passed on to get the book from Helen who was my roommate" Principal K said and waited to see Damien expression, "I've heard that name before" he said as his mind kept on reeling, "that's your mother name darling, we both schooled here, and your grandmother was the last writer of that book, Helen never wanted to get involved with the book her mother wrote, she always said, "it's a possessed book'… but" she paused and smiled a little, she was the pure definition of evil, "she had no choice than to get her hand dirty, when Helen's mother completed the book prophecy, she tried passing it on to Helen, but she still refused to collect it, I was a pure witness, when they both argued about the book so loudly, during a parent weekend, Cassandra had no choice than to take the book back with her." Principal K added, "so it all means, I'm the grandson of Lady C, and descendant of witches, and it means my mom was also a witch" Damien asked al tense and confused, "your mom was more than a witch, but she never wanted those powers, she had to bury them deep down.", "you said, Helen got her hands dirty, care to explain", Brian dared, "oh my, you dared to ask, but I'll get there soon", she added, as time went on to the day of the chaos in Eri-doria, she was in an old clinic at the outskirts of Eri-doria already giving birth, she screamed so loud, her voice was piercing, it broke the windows", she said as her mind reeled back to that day with a smirk, "but how did you know it was an old clinic and it was also in the outskirts?" Damien was curious to know, cause his dad only told him that, silence was in the air for some while as broke the silence, "let me say, I was also there" she added and a deep smile grew on her face, now the truth was getting revealed bit by bit, she continued, "Helen wanted to die with the book in her hands, she was a slender tall looking woman, and filled with beauty, but she had no idea I was part of the nurses there, but under a split second I saw a change in her eyes towards the book, after she put to bed and you were brought forth, a sudden power outage happened all the lights went out and after some minutes the lights came on, she was still there but the book was no more" she said, "where is the damn book", I whispered into her ears before she died and not a word came out. "Wait hold up, so that means the book suddenly disappear from her hands or what?" Damien asked furiously, "is my dad aware of all this?" he asked, now his mind was void, "Ethan Oscar has more secrets than the devil himself, and kid, to be honest with you, I don't know for sure how the book left her hands, but she was stabbed that all I could remember but I'm very sure someone stole the book and came to Eri-doria that night to hide the book in that library and leave clues for you, before vanishing away", "since you knew the book was in the library, then why did you not get it there", Damien asked which was a thoughtful question, "I tried doing that all day long, but it seemed you were the only chosen one to do that", she concluded with a sad face, "she was a witch she could do anything possible and impossible" she added, "this is something so unbelievable" Damien said with his head lowered down, "and tell me about Diana Oscar, who is she?" Damien questioned, that has been in his mind all this while, "Diana is somebody you don't want to mess with, she could be the villain or the hero of the game, but trust me you are the main villain of the story" she concluded, "so I guess there nothing more left, but be well assured the past is coming for us all and we won't escape it at all" she said staring deep into Damien eyes, as they both stood up and walked out of her office,

"That was a very unexpected, scary session we had in there. Do you think all she said is true?" Brian asked. Well, most of it, I don't know, but I guess it's high time I dig more into the past," he said as they exited the hallway.
