"Retreat!" The empires soldiers shouted, quickly running away from the hero.
The man began chasing the retreating empire's soldiers when suddenly.
BOOM! The man avoided it but barely.
Traces of mana from the explosion he barely avoided could be found.
"A hero…" "Finally" The man stated.
The man began rapidly going at the direction where the shot was fired, finally at the distance where he could see him.
"Tsk tsk, such a young hero being deployed to war already?"
The man expressed his disappointment.
SCHING! Another mana bullet was shot.
The man quickly dodged going left.
BANG! BANG! This time it wasn't one but two consecutive mana bullets flying towards the man.
"Aghh!" The man was hit from one of the mana bullets.
"That's it, I'm coming for you!" The man said angrily.
The man now angry, rapidly ran towards the enemy hero, going in zigzag motions to avoid crossfire.
"Young hero from the Empire, what's your name?"
The man asked facing face to face with the Empires hero.
"Why?" The Empires hero asked.
"It can't hurt to give out your name, so why not?"
"Im Andrzej by the way young man" Andrzej replied introducing himself.
"Leon"
"That's my name" Leon stated also introducing himself.
"Young man, don't look at me with those fierce eyes of yours"
"I might accidentally pull them out you know?"
"Dieeee!" Leon shouted, preparing to aim and shoot towards Andrzej.
Andrzej sensing the danger quickly distanced himself from Leon.
BANG! Leon shot a mana bullet aiming at Andrzej.
Andrzej ducked before running again.
BANG! BANG! Two consecutive mana bullets were shot again.
Andrzej quickly ran taking shelter behind a destroyed allied tank.
THUD! Andrzej shot up in the air, aiming to land at Leon.
RUMBLE! RUMBLE! The ground shook when Andrzej landed near Leon.
Leon taken aback by the sudden jump and landing quickly staggered back to his feet, holding his mana gun tightly.
Andrzej taking the opportunity quickly attacked Leon.
SLASH! SLASH! CLANG! CLANG! The sound of two weapons collided.
SLASH! SLASH! Another strike and another as Andrzej took the offensive on Leon.
"Ugh!" Leon mumbled as he got hit.
"It seems bad luck is on your side today young man" Andrzej commented.
"Shut up!" Leon yelled back.
CLANG! Leon swung his gun hard, taking the opportunity to gain distance.
BANG! Leon shot back.
"Aughh!" "Damn it!" Andrzej cursed.
"Who's bad luck is it now old man?" Leon commented.
"Don't think you're winning just because I took a hit from you" Andrzej replied.
BANG! BANG! Leon shot continuously taking the advantage of the distance.
Andrzej ducked, rolling left behind one of the allied tanks.
"Now that I'm injured, I can't afford to move quickly as I can"
"I guess it's time to use my trump card" Andrzej thought planning for his next moves.
As Leon was preparing another shot against Andrzej, countless silhouette by Andrzej surrounded him.
"Fuck, why are there more of him?" Leon thought, panic rising through his head.
BANG! BANG! BANG! Leon shot frantically hoping to hit the real body.
"I guess your life is ending today kid"
"Any last words?" Andrzej stated.
"Last words?" "I'm not dying today here!" Leon shouted angrily.
"That's courageous of you kid"
"But sadly your life will end here today" Andrzej replied, closing with his silhouette.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
"Ughh!" Leon was now bleeding profusely, left with no other options.
"Let's both go to hell old man!"
As Leon shouted, the mana in his gun began glowing hot uncontrollably.
"Fuck!… fuck no!" Andrzej yelled quickly trying to gain distance.
BOOOM! The surroundings were devoured from the mana explosion.
At the distance a blue mushroom cloud could be seen.
Both sides watched as a blue energy rose and devoured everything in its surroundings before quickly dissipating.
"Did you just see that?"
"Yeah, what was that explosion?"
"It's probably from a hero"
"What!? Heroes are that powerful?"
"Yes, I even heard a ridiculous rumor that a single hero could change the tide of the battlefield"
"I thought it wasn't true at first but now it's actually true"
Whispers from both sides echoed throughout the capital.
"Focus on the battle!"
"Are you asking yourselves to die!" Officers from both sides shouted, trying to control the situation.
Vrrrrr the sounds of engine roaring through could be heard coming not from the frontlines but behind allied lines.
"Sir bad news!" One of the allied scouts informed, returning at the main camp.
"What is it?" The major allied generals asked.
"Sir, we're surrounded by the Empires forces" The scouts replied.
"Wha-WHAT?"
"Can you repeat what you just said right now?"
One of the major allied generals asked, baffled by the information.
"Sir… We're surrounded by the Empires forces"
"Our rear had been broken through" The scouts responded.
"Order immediate evacuation!"
"We're getting the hell out of the Zhentaris Republic"
The major allied generals shouted ordering immediate retreat.
At the capital somewhere else.
"Retreat!"
"Hurry!" One of the allied officers shouted.
"Why are we retreating now?"
"They haven't even pushed us" One of the allied soldiers asked.
"Don't you know the situation?"
"The major generals have ordered immediate retreat to us"
"That only means something really bad has happened" One of the allied soldiers replied.
At the same time elsewhere in the capital.
"Don't let them breakthrough!"
"We must hold these allied forces here" The Empires officers yelled.
RATATATATA! BOOM! BOOM!
The left side was broken through.
"Sir!.. Sir!"
"The left side has been broken through!"
The Empires soldiers informed.
"Reinforce that area!"
"Don't let them get out!" One of the Empires officers shouted.
"Prepare the artillery!" One of the Empires officers ordered.
"Everyone take cover!" The Empires soldiers yelled, warning their own forces.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"AGHHH!"
"MY LEG!"
"HELP!"
"ANYONE HEEELP!" One of the allied soldiers shouted crying from the pain.
Fires quickly started to spread everywhere in the capital, adding more panic to the allied soldiers.
"Damn it those selfish allied bastards!"
"Leaving their soldiers behind! " One of the allied officers shouted.
The next day… Somewhere at the Capital of Antares.
"Emperor, I have good news today" Sebastian informed me.
"What is it?" I replied back.
"The Siege of Capital Zentaris was sucessful your majesty" Sebastian answered to me.
"Are there more?" I asked Sebastian again.
"Well your majesty, the Hero Leon you've been deployed is unfortunately dead"
Sebastian replied to me.
An unexplainable feeling slowly rose inside my body, what was it?
"Wha-WHAT? How can it be?" I asked Sebastian surprised hearing that.
"Leon died fighting another enemy hero according to the generals."
"That's the details I can only assume your majesty" Sebastian explained to me.
The feeling that rose inside my body, was it guilt?
I felt like I wanted to cry upon hearing the news.
Although, it had only been a short time when I spent a moment with Leon.
It was enough to make me feel guilty.
"Fuck!" I thought, was I still seeing this reality as a game?
I was no longer the old Lucas but as the Emperor Vonn Anderson so why was I thinking this was still a game?
"Why?" I thought to myself feeling guilty.
The characters in the game were now real people here, I couldn't afford to play reality like this.
Realizing this was reality hit me hard.
And who knows what worser things I could have done if I still viewed this as a game?
"Your majesty…"
"Your majesty" Sebastian said to me repeatedly.
"You've been staring at me for a minute"
"Are you okay your majesty?" Sebastian asked me worriedly.
"Prepare a burial for Leon, Sebastian" I said to him.
"As you wish majesty" Sebastian replied back to me.
