Almost twenty years later...
In a mystical forest, trees towered over the ground, and leaves fluttered in the air. Energy seeped out of the earth and floated throughout the forest.
In the center, a small, ruined shelter resided with a dirt pathway leading towards it.
Inside the shelter, a woman stood by a fire, cooking food in a large pot. Her hair was short, and it was a mixture of green and red. Her eyes were blue. She wore a green dress and a red robe. Her ears were unusually pointy.
A child approached her. He was around seven years old, and he had green hair and green eyes. He wore a dirty tunic and shorts. He was followed around by a group of younger orphans.
"Big brother, I'm hungry," one of the orphans whimpered behind the wall.
The child stood by a destroyed doorway and observed the woman. He peeked and questioned, "Mom, is our food almost ready?"
"Yes, come here, my children," the mom affirmed. She placed plates of food on the wooden table.
The orphans came around the corner and grabbed a plate. They ate in delight.
The child smiled.
"Oh, Pepe, my son..." The mom embraced the child, Pepe, in a desperate hug. "Thank you... You don't understand how big of a help you are, taking care of everyone... I promise we'll renovate this house and build a bright future for them."
Pepe looked up at her. "Of course, mom," he muttered with purpose.
