Chapter 25 - Castorice: I no longer care to question right from wrong

Cipher, why would she come and take Derick away!?

A scythe appeared in Castorice's hand. She looked around, trying to find any trace of Cipher.

The moment she saw Derick was missing, her mind went blank.

After spinning around the room with the scythe, Castorice finally calmed down slightly. Cipher was Zagreus's demigod; if she came here and took Derick away, it would be impossible for her to find any trace.

Realizing she couldn't find Derick's trail, Castorice's face first went blank, then filled with panic.

Cipher wouldn't take Derick away for no reason. She only liked treasures; it couldn't be because she found Derick cute.

Someone must have instructed her to take Derick.

That person must be Caenis from the Senate.

What would happen to Derick if he fell into Caenis's hands?

Castorice thought of Caenis's methods, and a wave of fear rose in her heart.

She didn't want to see Derick dismembered and mentally broken when she found him.

"No, I can't stay here." Castorice muttered to herself, picked up her scythe, and walked outside.

She couldn't find Cipher's trace, so she had to resort to another method. Go directly to Caenis and demand the person back.

Castorice walked down the street, her scythe in hand, her face frosty, looking extremely terrifying. People saw her from afar and couldn't help but shiver.

Previously, because of her death curse, others would automatically keep some distance from Castorice. Now, seeing her like this, people moved even further away.

Everyone was bewildered by Castorice's actions.

"Where's that kid Derick? I just saw him with Lady Castorice."

Someone asked puzzledly.

At this moment, others also realized.

"Yeah, didn't they say they were going to eat?"

"With the kid Derick around, he could definitely dissuade Lady Castorice."

"Could something have happened to Derick?"

When Castorice left, the door wasn't closed. Someone looked inside the room and found it empty.

Only then did everyone understand that the reason for Castorice's behavior was that something had happened to Derick.

Worry for Derick involuntarily rose in everyone's hearts.

At this moment, Castorice didn't care what the citizens of Okhema were thinking. Holding her scythe, she had only one thought in her mind.

Find Caenis, use the scythe to force out where Derick was.

Castorice walked forward.

Just then, Trianne ran up to her on small steps.

"Little Castorice, don't be impulsive." She panted as she spoke to Castorice.

"Since Caenis has already chosen to do this, she... she must have a way to deal with you. Little Castorice, you... you directly attacking an elder of the Senate... even Aya wouldn't be able to help you in this situation."

With Trianne saying this, Castorice's steps faltered slightly. However, she still bypassed Trianne and walked towards the Senate.

"Lady Trianne, what you said is correct. But I don't want Derick to encounter danger."

Castorice's mind was now filled with images of Derick surrounded by a group of people, holding various knives, preparing to cut him.

He might be in a state of panic right now, waiting for her to rescue him.

Derick was already in danger. Right or wrong, danger or not, she no longer cared. What she needed to do now was use the scythe in her hand to rescue Derick.

If a Senate elder blocked her, she would cut down the elder; if a demigod blocked her, she would cut down the demigod; even if a Titan appeared before her, she would swing her scythe without hesitation.

Castorice took a few more steps. At this moment, Trianne quickly took a few steps again to block Castorice's path. Castorice couldn't possibly continue forward and harm Trianne's life.

"Lady Trianne, don't stop me anymore."

Trianne quickly said, "Little Castorice, Aya and I are also monitoring this matter. Aya has already used golden threads to monitor the vicinity of Caenis. If she goes to see Little Derick, we will definitely rescue him immediately. If Caenis really dares to harm Little Derick, this time I will also support Aya in purging that faction of elders from the Senate."

"Little Castorice, Little Derick isn't in Caenis's hands yet. If you go now and end up in danger, and we rescue Little Derick later, what should we do if he wants to find you?"

After saying a long string of words, Trianne was slightly out of breath.

Hearing her advice, Castorice's movements slowed slightly.

Whether the Senate was purged or not, she didn't care much. But Lady Trianne was right; even if she had to fight to the death, she at least needed to know where Derick was before taking action.

She couldn't sacrifice her life in vain.

Castorice asked Trianne, "Lady Trianne, do you mean Derick is still in Cipher's hands? Then how can I find her?"

Trianne replied to Castorice, "Aya has already asked Phainon to find the Spirithief Bartholos . It's also a follower of the Titan of Trickery; perhaps it knows Cipher's location. Once we know Cipher's address, I will go find Little Derick with you immediately."

"Mm." Comforted by Trianne, Castorice stopped. Looking back at the messy path she had created, she said to Trianne, "Lady Trianne, I want to go to the Heroes' Bathhouse now to find Lady Aglaea. If there's news, I'll go find Cipher immediately. As for the destruction I caused just now, I will apologize and compensate after Derick returns safely."

"Okay, I understand."

Trianne nodded.

"Let's go, Little Castorice. I'll stay with you during this time."

Trianne and Castorice walked towards the Marmoreal Palace.

...

In the dark Abyss of Fate - Janusopolis.

Cipher received a message from Caenis.

[Caenis: When are you bringing Derick over?]

[Cipher: Huh? What are you talking about? I don't know. About the deal you mentioned earlier, I'm telling you now, I don't plan on doing it.]

[Caenis: Cipher, do you know what you're saying? You don't want to make a deal with me, why did you steal Derick?]

[Cipher: Can't I just feel like it? Can't I think he's good-looking and decide to take him home to raise?]

[Caenis: Cipher!]

Before her next angry message could arrive, Cipher directly blocked her.

"Hmph, I have no interest in listening to people curse." After saying this, she turned her head to look behind her.

Lying there was a young man, precisely Derick.

"Carrying him away earlier, the chop to the neck to prevent him from making noise seems to have been a bit too forceful."

Cipher stuck out her tongue.
