They felt that power—so perhaps they might be able to recognize it. But Naruto doubted it. It was far too different from chakra. He wasn't sure if people so accustomed to chakra would even be able to understand, let alone sense, this kind of energy.
Naruto smirked as he moved through the village, effortlessly surpassing even the Jonin. At most, they thought they saw something—a blur zipping past them—but nothing concrete. Especially Kakashi, who narrowed his eyes slightly but said nothing. To be honest, he thought he had just imagined it.
He glanced back, tried to sense something—but there was nothing. No chakra. No presence. So, he assumed it must have been a trick of the light, a fleeting illusion. Shaking his head, he moved on as the entire village was swept for intruders or disturbances, but nothing was found.
Meanwhile, Minato looked toward Jiraiya and said gravely, "I have a bad feeling about this."
Jiraiya nodded. "So do I, Minato. I think it may be connected to Manma and Naruko's destiny."
Minato raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that, sensei?"
Jiraiya's face grew more serious. "Well, Minato… it could be that this power—whatever it is—is the very evil force the world must be saved from. And if that's true, then Manma and Naruko are the ones fated to stop it."
Minato glanced at his children and frowned. "But… that power didn't come from them. They were right here."
"Exactly," Jiraiya replied. "Which means that the power we just felt doesn't belong to them—and that makes it all the more dangerous."
Minato gulped slightly. The power he had just felt had forced Kage-level shinobi to their knees, completely immobilized. The entire village had been brought down by it. Even the Nine-Tails didn't have such raw, overwhelming power.
Jiraiya placed a reassuring hand on Minato's shoulder. "Don't worry, Minato. When the time comes, I believe in destiny—and you have to believe in it, too. You must believe in the destiny of Manma and Naruko."
Minato nodded slowly. He would have faith in his two children, Manma and Naruko. He believed they would awaken great power when the time came—and that they would save the world from whatever darkness was approaching..
Unbeknownst to both of them, a single person was quietly listening to their conversation as if nothing was happening. Naruto raised an eyebrow.
"What is this 'destiny' crap they're talking about?" he muttered under his breath. That so-called Sannin is quite the fool. They were right to give him the title 'Pervy Sage'—he really would get lost if he honestly thinks that just because a power doesn't belong to Manma or Naruko, it must be evil.
Naruto chuckled softly. What a foolish man he really is. It's a good thing I'm not being trained by him. Who knows—I might have actually lost a few brain cells under someone that pathetic and idiotic.
With a smirk, Naruto vanished in a flicker of red lightning.
Back at his training ground, Naruto sighed. Though he had been training hard, he had already hit a dead end. His body couldn't fully access the immense power within him. What he had used earlier was only a fraction—barely a glimpse—of the true strength he could feel buried deep inside. And yet, even that fraction had strained his body beyond its limits.
Looks like I'll need to start physical training as well, Naruto thought. Maybe that loud guy who keeps running around the village shouting about youth could help. Might be useful.
There was something else he found intriguing too. Naruto shrugged. Well, I can always experiment.
In the next moment, he reappeared with several books in hand, setting them down neatly on the ground. "Alright," he said aloud, "chakra is a combination of spiritual and physical energy."
He flipped through the pages, reading quickly and absorbing the information. He began with chakra control exercises. Pressing a small leaf to his forehead, he was surprised when it stuck with ease. He then tried rotating it, and to his delight, it spun smoothly.
Satisfied, Naruto moved on. With a single jump, he launched himself toward a tree and effortlessly began to walk up its trunk as if it were flat ground. Chakra control over trees—done.
The next challenge was water walking. Without hesitation, he stepped onto the surface of a nearby river. The water rippled beneath his feet, but he remained steady, standing atop it as if it were solid ground.
Too easy, Naruto thought with a grin.
It was as if something inside him was already pushing his chakra into a perfectly controlled state.
Naruto paused for a moment, narrowing his eyes in thought. Now he understood—the other energy within his body, for some reason, granted him perfect control. When he was fatigued earlier, that energy had automatically taken over, controlling his chakra and healing his body.
It became clear to him: that mysterious energy was superior to chakra.
Not only that, but since he had perfect control over this unknown energy—whatever it was—it also meant he had perfect control over his chakra, as this energy could command chakra like a pet obeying its master.
Naruto shook his head. I need to give this energy a proper name. Calling it 'the other energy' is getting annoying.
He glanced toward several scrolls nearby. Let's see… five chakra natures, huh?
After reading through them briefly, he vanished and reappeared moments later with a chakra paper in hand. "Let's find out what I'm working with," he muttered, channeling only chakra into the paper.
To his surprise, the chakra paper reacted violently—it split, crumpled, burned, turned to dust, and became damp. That meant he possessed all five chakra natures.
Naruto smirked. This inferior energy… Chakra really is a joke compared to my true power.
Still, he figured chakra would at least help him blend into this whole "shinobi" thing, whatever it was. He shrugged and decided to test his fire release first.
Forming the hand seals quickly, he exhaled a stream of fire from his mouth, effortlessly incinerating a large section of the forest. The flames roared with power.
But then, Naruto felt something.
I don't even need hand signs for this, he realized. Letting the unknown energy take control, he simply thought of fire—burn—and released an even larger, more intense wave of flames, far stronger and more refined than before.
