Back in his room, he was contemplating what he should do next. He had been promoted to a bronze rank adventure. The rank of their mission was raised after it was shown how hard it was.
As a result he had enough points for an adventurer rank upgrade. This meant he could take higher ranked missions. The other task in his list was finding if there was a way back home.
However that one is something to look at later, rushing would serve no purpose,he was still too weak, if it was that easy he would've seen superhumans flying around in his previous world.
The fact that he didn't meant they either did not want to go there or the more likely reason, going there is nearly impossible. He doesn't think it completely impossible after all there was a way here meaning there is a way back.
Before all of that though he had to check his progress. He was consumed by hunger the moment he woke up and then had other things to do, he did not even have time to check his system interface.

He had a lot of free stats he did not know what to do with as of yet. He spent the rest of the day training his hand to hand combat and swordmanship.
Even though he was not at the level of it being recognised as a skill by the system he was very good now if he says so himself. He went to sleep content with his improvement since he arrived in this cursed world.
The next morning he went to the guild, it was time he recieved his new adventurer badge. He gave his iron badge to the lady on the counter.
Lisa was not there that day. Please wait, said the lady in a beautiful voice with a cute smile. He waited and a few minutes later she came back with a bronze coloured badge.
Here and congratulations on your rank upgrade. He nodded with his blank face, atleast it appeared so to her but those who knew him and had spent a bit of time with him would notice he was smiling.
As he turned around, people who did know him appeared. Damn, Iron was right, you are smiling, said Cathra with her usual pretty smile. Did you eat a bad fruit or something? He ignored that.
Iron... talks?? Yeah what? Did you think she was mute? She? He thought, maybe she was mistaken, lot of people do that when talking so he did ignored it.
So what are you up to? Nothing, I'm kind of free right now. Well how about that offer then? What offer? Yesterday, at the restaurant..remember? I asked if we could take a mission together again.
I don't recall agreeing to it though. Well now is your chance, you should just join our party, it'll be great, she said.He looked at Victor and wondered if working with him again was worth it.
He decided he did not care, plus Cathra and Iron had proven themselves reliable to an extent so he was not avert to the idea of working together again. Besides, if in the future he was going to look for a way home he might need help from others so making allies was not a bad idea, even though he didn't like the idea of socializing.
He decided to go with it. Okay, fine, I can work with you every now and then but I won't be joining your party . Oh...well okay then, I mean I would've preferred you fully join our party but that works too I guess.
They went on missions together for the next few days. Their spoils were high above the avarage for a party of their rank. With him being rank F meant his healing capabilities had risen.
That meant the party could fight for much longer, even if their prey was stronger than they were they used the ancient humans hunting style, chase you till you drop dead.
This did mean their hunts took longer but the spoils were worth it. In the past week they had actually killed two rank E creatures. They were herbivorous beasts so they were less violent.
They lacked the savage attitude of a hunter beast but made up in either endurance or speed, so although they were less dangerous unless provoked they were harder to kill.
One of them was a wooly mammoth and the other a crystal antler stag. Both were incredible behemoths of tremendous strength.
Had their priority not been to survive but to hunt them instead, he is afraid their party would have had to run or die fighting. The mammoth stood at around 8 metres tall weighing over 30 tons.
The trees fell around it as it ran, it would turn around whenever they got close, this lasted for an entire day until they were able to bring it down, that thing was strong, packed full of muscles but it was heavy and lacked stamina.
Carrying that thing over was a nightmare but the meat of herbivorous beast sold for a lot.The stag on the other hand was lighter and faster but had less durable hide.
It crystal antlers could spear through anything and that was it downfall. It antlers got stuck trying to spear Victor, the guy almost peed his pants from fear.
Of course this was the plan, not the pants pissing,no, the stag being stuck part. They had built a wall from a clay that became extremely hard when dry.
The stag had stuck it stupid head on this clay wall while it was wet then Cathra casted a fire spell hardening the thing thus trapping the stag. It was one of their easiest hunt actually even though the creature was much stronger than most of their prey.
They had even earned a nickname in the guild. The unrelenting, it was really an uninspired name but the others seemed to like it. Victor had his stupid proud grin whenever somebody called them that.
