Tiger pressed his palm to his forehead, wincing at the slight headache. Ruby appeared beside him, offering a handkerchief. "You could use this."
"Thanks, but where did you come from?" Tiger asked, taking the handkerchief.
"From the council room. I'm a bit short on council mates," Ruby said, heading to her seat.
As Tiger brought the handkerchief to his face, the scent of rose petals wafted up, and he instinctively sniffed it. Ruby raised an eyebrow. "You know it's weird to sniff a girl's belongings."
"Oh, I was checking it's not from the dustbin," Tiger said, wiping away sweat.
Ruby chuckled, cleaning her glasses. "Well, now it belongs in the dump with your sweat."
Tiger shot her a side-eye. "What did you say?"
Benjamin intervened, "Hey, hey, can't you guys not act like couples right now?"
Tiger and Ruby chimed in unison, "We are nothing like that."
Benjamin smirked. "Yeah, because a house would crumble with the two of you in it." The bell rang, signaling break time.
As students headed to the cafeteria, Benjamin asked, "What's on the menu today?" rubbing his hands together.
Tiger smiled, "Says the guy who can't eat much." Benjamin's eyes widened. "Did you just smile?"
Tiger playfully grabbed Benjamin's neck, pulling him into a headlock. "Shut up, moron. Let's get something to eat."
At the cafeteria, Tiger felt something soft in his pocket – the handkerchief. "Benjamin, you pay for my lunch. I need to return something," Tiger said, leaving.
Benjamin nodded, "Yeah, yeah, just don't fight anyone." Tiger laughed. "I won't make a promise on that."
Tiger walked to the council room, knocking on the door. When there was no response, he opened it and found a girl with long hair, listening to music on her earpiece. The gentle breeze lifted her hair, and she hummed along, gazing out the window.
