I am very grateful to Shiroko and Serika, most likely, if it weren't for them, I would have died long ago, like the others. But with their help, we were able to build a society without fear of zombies and mutants.
And also, if they hadn't helped us, I would never have found my wife Ai. I don't know how, but this girl fell in love with me! She didn't just fall in love with a guy who never had a girlfriend, in a couple of weeks children should be born. Yes, children, it will not be one child, she has twins in her belly! Shizuka confirmed this to us when she examined Ai. We will have both a boy and a girl.
As soon as I found out that Ai was pregnant, I immediately began arranging the room next to ours, and even installed a door so that we could quickly move to the nursery. It's just that I thought we'd have one child before, but we ended up having two, so I had to fill out this room.
Ai used to be an idol that I only saw on TV and thought she was untouchable, but I ended up marrying one.
It got to the point where I started to thank the zombie apocalypse, if it weren't for that, I would never have been with her. I know it's terrible that so many people died or became zombies, but I don't care. I only care about my loved ones!
Speaking of loved ones... On a recent outing, we found Rei's parents, who were safe and sound. We settled them in a city that was already quite large. They wanted Rei to live with them, but she refused, saying she'd stay with her girlfriend.

Even now, Rei and Saeko have a tradition of going to Rei's parents' on weekends, as I learned, they are planning a wedding in a couple of months.
We also found Saeko's father, who also settled in the city, unlike Rei's parents, Saeko's father didn't like that his daughter was dating another girl at all. This really angered Saeko, who beat her father half to death. He said that he would disown her if she didn't leave Rei. This happened on the main street of the city, so everyone saw it, as did I.
Saeko just smirked and said that she would gladly give up his last name, which she did, saying that she would take the last name Rei. All the residents now dislike Saeko's ex-father, because everyone saw what an idiot he was.
Also during this time I was able to develop the Mk1 railgun, which passed combat tests. Our reconnaissance squad in the USA received the Mk1, and they could easily destroy a monster that looked like a man. Regular bullets did not take it, but the railgun was able to blow off its head.
I also developed other types of weapons that were effective against monsters, but now my main project is the Mk2 railgun, a more compact version of the Mk1 railgun, and more practical.
Where do I get the resources to create a new weapon?
It's simple, we started trade relations with China and Russia, especially Russia, a country that has too many of the resources I need. Although China has enough of them too. These two countries supply us with resources, and in return, we give the weapons we created. It got to the point that they asked Yuriko to build embassies in the city. Which she agreed to! They even gave us several warships and boats as a token of our friendship. Because of this, it was easier for our reconnaissance group to get to the mainland.
Speaking of Yuriko, she and Saya got married not long ago. All the residents of the city knew about their relationship, but no one objected, in their eyes Yuriko, the great mayor.
Then we had the wedding of Shizuka and Rika, and again everyone was happy about it. And after a while, Ai and I got married when she was 6 months pregnant, so everyone saw her pregnant belly, and many began to congratulate me.
We also got rid of two idiots who were with us. Takashi and Hisashi, I think that was the name of those idiots. We did not feel sorry for them at all, those two idiots wanted to rape Rei, but fortunately they did not succeed.
They were easily beaten by Saeko, who was already a sadist, but when she killed them, I saw the anger in her eyes.
Also, during this time, we still did not get closer to solving that village in Eastern Europe, although Yuriko no longer sent troops there, we nevertheless continued to observe that village.
I hope when Serika and Shiroko return they will be able to solve the mystery of that village, and the "Castle".
"Kohta, are you going to bed?" - I heard my wife's voice from behind.
Putting aside the drawings of the new weapon, I turned around and saw Ai, in loose clothes, since due to his large belly, in which there are two babies, she cannot wear ordinary clothes.
"Yes, I'm on my way now." - closing my drawing, I turned off the light, and headed towards Ai, who was standing in the doorway of my workshop.
I walked up to her and kissed her, to which she responded.
"How are the babies?" I asked, placing my hand on her stomach.
"They're fine, they've just started kicking a lot, but overall they're fine." She said, and I felt one of the babies kick the place where my hand was.
"What little devils you are, you don't let your mother rest," I said and began to stroke her pregnant belly.
"It's okay, in a couple of weeks, I'll be able to rest." She said, putting her hand on mine.
"Are you sure? What about the crying at night or the diapers?" I asked.
"I'll leave that to you, I carried your babies for almost 9 months, so now it's your turn." She said, but I knew she was just joking, and of course we'll take care of them together.
"Well, shall we go to bed?" I asked.
She nodded to me and took my hand, heading to our room.
I couldn't be happier with my life. I'm about to have two little angels!
