Chapter 115 - Chapter 115: Emily: Let’s Play Pillow Fight

After greeting Natsu and the others, Jehfrit went to take a bath.

When he came out, he realized he was the slowest one; both Mirajane and Ikuto were faster, and even their hair was already dry.

"Master, hurry up and let's play pillow fight. I want to play pillow fight," Emily jumped on him, hugging Jehfrit's hairy legs.

"Ow, it's prickly." Emily quickly let go with a look of disdain.

"Ho ho." Jehfrit chuckled, ruffling Emily's head, thinking: I haven't even used my beard to tickle you yet.

"Jehfrit, you're too slow," Natsu and Gray were lying head-to-head.

"What are you two doing?" Jehfrit looked at the mess around them.

"They just had a head-butting contest like two bulls," Lucy said helplessly.

"Who won?" Jehfrit asked.

"Gray-sama won!" Juvia said happily and proudly.

"Hmph, best two out of three, Gray, let's go again!" Natsu immediately got up,不服气 (unwilling to accept defeat).

"I beat you once, I can beat you again!" Gray also got up.

The two started another round of head-butting, like two fighting bulls determined to settle the score.

"By the way, where's Erza?" Jehfrit asked curiously. "And Wendy, isn't she here either?"

"Erza took Wendy out, and they haven't returned yet," Lucy explained.

Jehfrit glanced around the room and didn't see Happy—no wonder, Happy must have run off with Carla.

*Plop*

At that moment, Gray's head slipped, and he pushed out from under Natsu, who also fell forward without time to react.

Gray ended up pinned under Natsu's chest.

"Haha, I win!" Natsu exclaimed triumphantly.

"It's only one to one, let's continue," Gray pushed him away.

"Don't play anymore," Emily ran over with a pillow, pulling both of them. "Natsu-nii, Gray-nii, let's play pillow fight."

Unable to resist Emily's pouting, the two quickly agreed, "Alright, let's play."

"Yay!" Emily cheered, lifting her pillow and smashing it down on Natsu and Gray, who were just about to get up, knocking them back down.

"Hahaha—" Emily burst into cheerful laughter.

*Puff*

A pillow flew from behind, knocking her down.

It was Ikuto who struck.

"Ikuto-nee!" Emily quickly got up, ready to hit Ikuto back, but another pillow knocked her down again.

This time it was Lucy.

Emily got up again, and Juvia threw another pillow.

"Master, save me!" Emily hurriedly cried for help.

Jehfrit grabbed a pillow and threw it at Juvia.

"Gray-sama!" Juvia also called for help.

"Jehfrit!"

Natsu and Gray simultaneously targeted Jehfrit.

Seeing the situation turn bad, Emily turned and ran into Mirajane's embrace, "Mira-nee, save me!"

Mirajane smiled sweetly and tossed a pillow at Emily, knocking her down again.

"Hehehe."

Despite being ganged up on, Emily was having a blast because although the pillows hit hard, they didn't hurt as much as fists or kicks.

"Ah—"

On the other side, Jehfrit let out a scream.

Natsu, Gray, and Ikuto were all targeting him.

"Mira!" Jehfrit shouted but was knocked down by a pillow thrown by Mirajane.

For a moment, he was completely buried under pillows.

"Natsu!" Lucy yelled, throwing a pillow that hit Natsu in the face.

"Gray-sama!" Juvia also threw a pillow at Gray.

"Damn it!" Natsu and Gray immediately retaliated.

"Mira-san!"

"Ikuto-san!"

"Mira, stand still!"

Complete chaos broke out.

"What are you doing, making so much noise?" At this moment, Erza pushed open the door, only to be hit in the face by a pillow thrown by Natsu.

"Natsu!"

Erza immediately joined the fray.

"Carla, how fun, let's join in," Wendy said enthusiastically.

"Hmph, not interested." Carla remained aloof.

Nevertheless, Wendy joined in, picking up a pillow and hitting Jehfrit: "Sorry, Mr. Jehfrit!"

"Carla, let's play too." Happy held a pillow and looked at Carla.

"You male cats can play by yourselves." Carla crossed her arms, looking tsundere.

"Alright..." Happy lowered his head in disappointment.

"What do you mean alright! When she's being tsundere, give her direct advances!" Jehfrit's voice echoed in Happy's ear.

Happy quickly looked at Jehfrit.

Jehfrit was being chased by Emily but his voice still reached Happy's ears thanks to Deception Magic.

"Just look at me, now's your chance to strike hard!"

"Unlimited direct advances will do the trick, Happy. You know your advantage is that you two are the same species and opposite genders!"

"Hit her!"

Happy mustered his courage and swung a pillow hard into Carla's face.

"Male cat!!" Carla, enraged, picked up a pillow and knocked Happy down.

"Hahaha—" Happy got up and threw another pillow at Carla.

"Damn it!" Carla joined the battlefield, relentlessly chasing Happy.

"Carla, no, spare me," Happy pretended to be subdued and shouted for mercy, but inwardly, he was extremely happy.

Because Jehfrit had told him: "Sometimes, it's better to make a girl angry at you than to have her ignore you altogether, Happy. Use your goofy charm to make her laugh and get flustered!"

Thus, the scene unfolded.

Happy occasionally teased Carla, then got beaten up by an angry Carla, but he was thoroughly enjoying himself.

"Mr. Jehfrit!" Ikuto shouted, hitting Jehfrit with a pillow, but she accidentally slipped and fell toward him.

Beside them, Mirajane's eyelids twitched slightly.

At this moment,

Jehfrit rolled to the side.

*Plop*

Ikuto, who should have landed in his arms, fell flat on the ground instead.

Mirajane's lips curled slightly as she hit Jehfrit with a pillow.

"Hahaha, trying to ambush me? Not so easy!" Jehfrit laughed triumphantly, quickly getting up, only to be knocked down again by Mirajane's pillow.

Jehfrit got up again but faced simultaneous attacks from Ikuto and Mirajane.

"I won't let you succeed!"

Jehfrit grabbed Ikuto, throwing her off balance, then took a big step toward Mirajane, dodging her attack while hitting her in the face with a pillow.

"Ahh—"

Mirajane was startled by the sudden attack, plus the force from the pillow, causing her to cry out and fall backward.

Jehfrit reached out and pulled her toward him.

But he immediately shifted his body, pushing Mirajane toward Erza.

The two women collapsed together.

"Hahaha, I'm invincible!" Jehfrit laughed triumphantly.

"Hya!" Emily charged at this moment.

But Jehfrit scooped her up and spun her around wildly.

"Ah, Master, I'm dizzy, I'm dizzy," Emily cried out in alarm.

"Hahaha—" Jehfrit laughed heartily, but the next second, he stepped on a pillow, slipped, and fell backward, bumping into Wendy and finally crushing the unfortunate Happy—who had just run past Jehfrit's back.

*Plop*

Jehfrit fell on top of Happy and Wendy's foot, while Emily's knees landed heavily on his face.

"Ah—"

Happy, crushed solidly by Jehfrit, let out a wail.

"Male cat!" Carla quickly dropped her pillow, grabbed Jehfrit's arm, and pulled him aside.

"Hahaha—" Emily fell sideways, laughing uncontrollably.

Jehfrit was dragged aside by Carla, just in time to catch a glimpse of something white below—a brief view of Mirajane's underwear as she stepped back.

"You can't blame me for this," Jehfrit said.

"...," Mirajane smiled gently, lifted her leg, and stomped on Jehfrit's face.

Wendy, who was rubbing her foot that Jehfrit had stepped on, saw this and suddenly blushed, thinking about something unknown.

"Happy, are you okay?" Carla helped Happy up.

"Carla, I…" Happy pretended to be weak but secretly grabbed a corner of a pillow. Taking advantage of Carla's distraction, he smashed the pillow into her face.

"Happy, you little devil!" Carla's anger ignited again, and she chased after Happy with a pillow.

"Mira, what are you doing! Don't bully Jehfrit like that!" Erza saw this and threw a pillow to knock Mirajane down.

"Erza!" Mirajane got up, and the two women began a legendary battle.

*Bam bam bam*

With Jehfrit lying between them as the boundary, the two exchanged pillows rapidly, each hand throwing and catching pillows simultaneously.

The speed increased!

The residual images of pillows almost formed a white bridge in the air, their movements blurred and indistinct.

Gradually, everyone stopped.

Lucy and Juvia hugged their pillows, trembling in a corner.

Natsu and Gray lay flat on the ground, too scared to lift their heads.

They looked sympathetically at Jehfrit lying in the middle of the battlefield.

"Puff puff puff, I can't run anymore," Happy was exhausted and collapsed onto Natsu.

"Hmph." Carla forced herself to chase up and leaned against Happy, grabbing his ear.

"Ow, ow, ow," Happy quickly cried, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

"An apology won't cut it; I'm going to twist your ear three times!" Carla declared.

"No, don't—" Happy endured the pain and pleasure.

*Whooosh*

Jehfrit listened to the wind above him, his heart full of fear: If these two pillows hit me, I might really pass out.

Looking at Mirajane's feet, which had dug holes in the floor to stabilize her stance, and Erza, whose feet sank into the floorboards, he thought:

Too terrifying.

Jehfrit grabbed a pillow, covered his head, and wormed his way out of the battlefield like a caterpillar.

"Master, hurry up and come out."

Only Emily was considerate enough to pull Jehfrit out of the battlefield.

*Bam*

Finally, Erza emerged victorious, and Mirajane was finally knocked down. After all, she had neglected training for several years and couldn't match Erza, who had been enduring immense pressure while advancing.

"Puff puff puff—"

Mirajane lay down, and Erza sat panting, resting on the ground.

The battle was over.

Everyone had played to their heart's content.

"Master—" Emily cuddled Jehfrit's arm and coaxed, "Can you tell me about your past stories? The ones before you joined the guild."

"Eh, there's nothing interesting to hear," Jehfrit said.

"But I want to listen~" Emily shook Jehfrit's arm affectionately, "I've asked Grandpa Master about many things regarding you in the guild, and I've organized them into a novel. But I still don't know much about your past."

"You're still writing a novel?" Jehfrit was surprised.

"Mm-hmm." Emily nodded, got up, found her little backpack, and pulled out a card.

Everyone watched her with smiles as Emily held the card in her left hand, flicked it with her right index finger, and it transformed into a notebook.

Hmm, it had Jehfrit's style.

Emily brought the book over and sat beside Jehfrit, handing it to him.

"Can I read it aloud?" Jehfrit asked.

"Of course, it's a novel, not a diary. Everyone can read it. And I've decided to write a novel for everyone, just like how Master takes photos to record everyone's stories," Emily said.

"Haha." Jehfrit smiled proudly.

"But you mustn't follow Jehfrit. He takes pictures of everything; you can't write about everything!" Lucy quickly added.

"I know." Emily innocently replied, "Like Elfman-nii and Evergreen-nee kissing, that kind of thing shouldn't be written."

"Wait, when did you see that?" Lucy exclaimed.

"Uh? Elfman…" Mirajane was shocked.

"How did those two progress so fast?!" Erza couldn't believe it.

"The other day, when coming back from Master's house to the dormitory with Ikuto-nee, we saw them in the park," Emily said.

"Oh la…" Mirajane showed a delighted expression.

"This guy Elfman…" Everyone smiled, even Natsu and Gray were laughing.

"Cough cough." Jehfrit cleared his throat and began reading, "The Greatest Mage in My Heart—The Elegant Magician of Fairy Tail—Jehfrit's Legendary Adventures."

"The title is quite long."

Jehfrit continued, "My master Jehfrit…"

The entire story was narrated from Emily's perspective. Her writing was concise and fluent.

This was naturally due to Jehfrit letting her read many books.

Originally, Emily hadn't read much because of her young age and poor conditions, but now living comfortably, both Jehfrit and Ikuto had given her meticulous guidance.

Especially Jehfrit.

He had received a good education.

And being of noble birth, he naturally had extraordinary insights.

Being a child prodigy, he had read many books in his youth, so teaching Emily was more than sufficient.

Moreover, Emily herself was a smart child.

She maintained excellent habits—she was self-motivated in learning without reminders.

She knew that learning opportunities were hard to come by, so while playing and being affectionate, she never slacked off in her studies and was always serious and diligent, never cutting corners.

Therefore, in terms of writing style, Jehfrit found little to criticize about this novel, except perhaps some lack of experience.

However, there were minor flaws in storytelling.

But Jehfrit still considered it passing.

As long as she was interested and willing to delve deeper, these were minor issues.

This made him very proud that Emily had found a clear goal, which was great.
