Chapter 42 - Chapter 42: The Forbidden Breach

[EXT. REALM BETWEEN TIME — TWISTING VOID]

The space between realms flickered — torn pieces of broken time stitched together by flickering veins of celestial energy.

At the center of the collapsing void,

Elios floated, wounded, clutching his side.

His aura — once steady and brilliant — now flickered wildly between celestial light and something far older. Far more divine.

Elios grimaced, feeling the heavy pressure crush against him.

(This pressure… It's not just Tenma anymore.

Something darker is approaching…

Something that should not exist here…)

Without warning, a rift tore open before him — jagged, black, and pulsing like a wounded heart.

A presence slithered through, shattering the balance of the realm with its mere existence.

"Elios!!"

A flash of blinding light —

Haruto and Airi appeared, their forms wrapped in the blossoming aura of their divine bloodlines.

Elios looked up, pained.

"You shouldn't be here… This realm… it's collapsing.

And worse — he's coming."

Airi's heart dropped as she felt the distortion pressing in from all sides.

"No deity is supposed to enter another deity's domain," she whispered.

"That's the law of balance."

Elios nodded grimly.

"Yes.

But the Dark God… he found a loophole.

He doesn't cross the barrier outright —

He curses the realm itself… piece by poisoned piece…

until the domain welcomes him in."

All around them, cracks spiderwebbed across the void.

Beyond the veil, something massive pressed against reality — a horror waiting to be born.

Haruto clenched his fists.

"We have to stop him.

We've saved you before, Elios.

But you're still cursed.

Why can't we fully drive it away?"

Elios closed his eyes — and for a brief instant, his form blurred.

His true self emerged — an ancient, radiant being surrounded by endless time gears and celestial constellations.

The Time God.

"Because… I am the Time God."

His voice was a whisper of eternity.

"This body — Elios — is but a fragment, a guardian vessel.

When my divine form was wounded, I created this shell to act independently."

He opened his eyes, heavy with sorrow.

"You have saved me three times already.

But unless you two become whole — as you once were —

the curse will always return."

Haruto stared down at the watch on his wrist.

It pulsed with immense power — a power that almost matched Elios's true form.

(This is it.

The full strength of the Time God himself…

But still… I can't control it.

Not until I remember everything.)

Airi grabbed his hand firmly.

"Then we have to hurry.

Before the curse consumes him — and this realm — completely."

---

Without warning —

the rift burst wide open.

A monstrous black hand ripped through the veil, clawed fingers reaching straight for Elios.

"Found you…"

The hand latched onto Elios's chest, shadows spreading like wildfire, poisoning his divine light.

Elios screamed, convulsing as the corruption bled into him again.

"No… not again—!"

Haruto's eyes blazed.

"LET HIM GO!"

He rushed forward.

The watch on his arm ignited — wings of pure light burst out behind him for a split second.

He struck the cursed hand with a divine punch, exploding in a shockwave of raw, searing brilliance.

The hand recoiled — screeching as the veil resealed itself temporarily.

Airi rushed to Elios, helping him steady.

"You're safe now…"

Elios gasped for breath, his form fading back into the more human-like "Elios."

His voice was hoarse, but urgent.

"Not for long.

The Dark God will breach the veil again.

You must go — to the Temple of Memory.

It holds the final fragments of who you are."

Haruto steadied himself, determination burning in his eyes.

"And when we find them?"

Elios looked at them both — his expression solemn.

"Then…

The real war begins."

---

[EXT. REALM BETWEEN TIME — FAR IN THE VOID]

High above the battlefield of broken time,

hidden in the folds of the darkness,

two enormous red eyes opened — ancient, hateful, patient.

A voice slithered through the crumbling realm, colder than death itself.

"Soon…

You'll remember…

everything I made you forget."
