Chapter 24 - Carried

Forty people clearing a dungeon at once—it was an almost absurd spectacle.

The monsters in the abandoned Crystal Holy Land had always been formidable, their appearance enough to make most tremble. But now? Even they seemed momentarily stunned when this overwhelming force descended upon them.

This group didn't need tactics. Every monster that entered their line of sight was annihilated in seconds. There was no room to flee, no chance to fight back.

Everyone knew exactly why they were here: not to level up, not for glory—

They were here to shop.

And they upheld a single, ironclad belief:

"Anything you set your eyes on will fall within three seconds!"

The Crystal Holy Land descended into chaos.

Meanwhile, Luceris, under the care and protection of the group, took her time enjoying the scenery. She even lay down in a sea of flowers and took a nap while the others swept through the battlefield.

When the fighting lulled, she woke up and continued strolling.

Occasionally, she would chat and laugh with some of the female knights, invited to watch their dazzling techniques. It truly felt like she was on a vacation, not in a dungeon.

A few hours passed.

Luceris had reached level 29—just a step away from her goal.

Her method of leveling was so effortless, it would leave others envious. With so many top-tier players essentially "carrying" her, she could afford to lie flat and still gain progress. Though the experience points were divided and diluted among the large group, for someone at her level, every bit helped.

Originally, Luceris had planned to open an instance and slip away, but curiosity got the better of her. She decided to run a little experiment:

Would the independent dungeon persist if she left the team?

Unfortunately, just as she had guessed—once she disappeared from the instance, the entire structure collapsed. It couldn't function without her presence.

So, the idea of solo-triggering and abandoning the dungeon was a no-go. She had no choice but to stick with the group and advance with them.

By dusk, the land reclamation team had thoroughly cleared the Crystal Holy Land several times. Their haul was nothing short of astonishing.

Even those who participated in the raid were shocked by the sheer volume of loot. The spoils stacked so high they could practically form a hill!

It was the kind of scene that would drive scientists and blacksmiths wild with excitement.

At that moment, when they looked at Luceris, their gazes instinctively shifted—filled now with admiration and respect.

Even a fool could see it:

Luceris wasn't just important to the country.

She was a phenomenon. A living legend.

A national treasure.

And as that thought solidified, their affection for her title, "Eldest Sister," grew even stronger.

Even if she didn't accept the name now—one day, she would.

Luceris was a little helpless against this sudden hero worship, but she didn't let it bother her too much. These were good people, and half the time they were joking anyway. There was no need to overthink it.

With the dungeon cleared, it was time to focus on leveling again.

This time, Leanne Vale and Selene took charge, leading Luceris through more difficult dungeons. But now, they went solo as party leaders to maximize her experience gain.

Thus, Luceris once more flew through dungeons as the others cut a path ahead of her.

The "mining plan" officially began.

Life settled into a rhythm—challenging, yet satisfying.

And finally—

A few days into the dungeon grind…

Luceris reached level 30.

And with it, she acquired the final core material for Elysia's Herrscher form: the Soul of the Sea of Flowers.

After days of tireless grinding, she had everything she needed at last!

Overwhelmed with excitement, Luceris rushed home without even glancing at the next upgraded dungeon.

She had two objectives now:

First, synthesize her Dimensional Divine Equipment.

Second, prepare for her departure to the next city—Takumi.

Tomorrow, a large-scale dungeon event was set to open, and players had already begun gathering in advance.

Back home…

Aria, who had just finished her part-time job, was in the kitchen cooking. When she saw Luceris hurry through the door, she called out casually:

"Luceris, dinner!"

"I'll eat later!" Luceris shouted back.

Aria didn't push it. That was just how they were—close, but with their own space and independence.

The synthesis process for Dimensional Divine Gear wasn't complicated.

You simply conveyed your intent to the material—and the system would handle the rest.

Buzz—

Luceris felt her soul being pulled away, drifting through a vast and unknowable dimension.

Dazed, she floated as if in a starfield. Crystals orbited silently in the sky, and an iridescent cosmic current shimmered around her.

She was like a small boat… or a lost fish, aimlessly swimming through the void.

Then, from within the dazzling sea of stars, a voice—soft and full of warmth—spoke:

"May the stars shine upon the road ahead.May flowers bloom in the footsteps you leave behind. You are God's gift, and the world is beautiful because you exist."

The voice enveloped Luceris as she was embraced by the sea of stars—

Gentleness…

Compassion…

Love…

Sorrow…

A thousand emotions blended in radiant light.

Her soul suddenly jolted awake.

Luceris found herself back in her room. The galaxy of stars had vanished.

But the emotion—an overwhelming sense of divine love for the world—still lingered.

"Tragedy is not the end, but the beginning of hope…You believe that too, don't you?"

There was something about Luceris—something different from everyone else.

A mysterious affinity with all the elements of the world.

She projected her thoughts into the system space.

And there it was: Elysia's Dimensional Divine Equipment—the Herrscher of Humanity—resting quietly in the system menu, bathed in sacred, iridescent light.
