Chapter 32 - Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?

Justin had many things on his list.

But he chose to begin with the outer zone tournament.

The majority of the disciples died during the Immortal's attack, leaving a small number behind.

It made it easier for him to manage since it could be handled relatively faster.

"ALL OUTER ZONE TORNAMENT PARTICIPANTS, COME TO THE TRAINING GROUNDS NOW!"

His thunderous voice rang through the sect, waiting patiently for them. A few minutes passed, and all of them arrived, thirty-seven to be exact.

The new training grounds had a space formation, doubling its size with an effect on the sect.

Eric and Luna were among the present disciples. He didn't know how strong she was, but he could bet on Eric winning.

Especially after he helped him awaken his innate wisdom, turning him into a violent beast.

"Any last questions before we begin? You know the rules, and so do I."

Justin questioned, retrieving the promised rewards from his inventory.

They stared at him, then some began shaking their heads. He knew he didn't tell about the free for all, and thus, he announced.

"Fine, then let me tell you about the unfortunate change."

He paced around them, informing them about the sudden changes.

They remained silent, completely uncaring and unbothered to even react.

Justin knew it was unfair, so he allowed them the chance to retreat.

But alas, the rewards were too blinding.

"I shall count to ten, and once you hear ten, the tournament begins."

With nothing else to do, Justin flew above them, his voice echoing through the skies.

"One... Two... Three... Ten!!!"

The sudden announcement ignited the chaos, but the majority of the disciples, especially the smart ones, liked it.

They burst forward, aiming for fragile blood to ensure they had a chance to win.

Justin smiled.

It was a flawed tactic due to the risk of hidden tigers and crouching dragons, but he knew how effective it was.

But nothing concerning, all they needed was a single mistake, enough to teach them a lesson.

Suddenly, a scream brought Justin's attention.

He chuckled, witnessing Eric stomping another boy's stomach before sending him flying across the arena.

"You are so retarded and weak! How dare you sneak on me?!"

Eric roared, charging at the boy.

"How wonderful!" Justin smiled proudly, glad his teaching was proven effective.

He eventually moved on, taking note of the fallen disciples.

"Thirty remains, five until the ring closes!" He shouted, shocking the disciples.

He stole the idea from Courtnite, one of those battle royale games.

However, the disciples had no idea what the word meant in this context, throwing them off.

Like always, some of them didn't care.

They took advantage of the situation and finished off the unfortunate, busy disciples.

"The ring will close in, please move toward the center~" Justin announced, raising his hand.

Lightning streaked around the edges of the training grounds, threatening to wipe out the repils.

He gave them three minutes, then took the next step.

Metallic spikes began rising, forming a circle around the battlefield.

They immediately understood what he meant, and he focused more on the battle to rank them accordingly.

Most of their attacks used pure Qi alongside the techniques they had mastered.

They had no elements, but surprisingly, it was still entertaining to watch.

About fifteen minutes passed as their numbers steadily dwindled to fifteen.

"Five more," Justin shouted, signaling the second ring was about to begin.

While Eric was abusing the disciples, Luna was strategically thinking about a plan to deal with him.

She admitted he was far stronger than he used to be, but it didn't mean he was invisible.

However, he was in a good state, similar to her, taking little to almost no damage so far.

Direct engagement was out of the question as she didn't even wish to give it a try.

'Unless...' She thought, regaining hope while taking note of his behavior.

Meanwhile, Justin was sneering.

"Huh, you simping?" He muttered, witnessing Eric threatening the girls.

"Will you go out on your own or do I?..." Eric stood against a girl, claiming he didn't like hitting women.

She nodded fearfully, striking her head with her palm before collapsing.

While it was completely okay, Justin knew it was going to feed Eric's growing ego.

But he didn't care, a good lesson to learn nonetheless.

Especially when it backfires against him.

Finally, their numbers dropped to ten the moment Eric took the girl down.

The remaining disciples hurled to the center, avoiding the lightning as the battlefield became much smaller.

Suddenly, four of the disciples looked at each other, nodding in agreement.

Since there were no rules against teaming, they decided to work together to deal with the rest.

Eric was the biggest obstacle in their way, so they chose to take him out first.

They circled him, striking him from all directions at the same time.

"Utter fools!" Eric sneered, taking out his heavy sword for the first time since the beginning.

He spun in place, sending all of them flying far from him before aiming at the one facing him.

"You shall perish!!!"

He screamed, kicking off the second ring, unleashing his madness on the unfortunate disciple.

Hacking his sword downward, he crushed the ground as the disciple rolled, running for his life.

Eric shouted, "Come here!", unleashing his madness as he kicked off the ground, chasing after the disciple.

Suddenly, the rest appeared, interrupting his chase.

The one on his left poked him with a sword, causing a small, insignificant injury due to his superior physique.

Eric howled, "You filthy pest," gripping the disciple's leg before pulling him over, causing him to fumble.

He stomped the guy's stomach and swung his sword, throwing them far from him.

"You like playing hero, huh?" Eric questioned, stomping the guy's face.

As if angered, he began kicking the guy's guts as the screams echoed through the area.

"Magnificent, you're incredible!" Justin clapped, complimenting Eric's behavior.

He continued, "Five of you remain, who's going to be the fin—"

Suddenly, Luna appeared behind one of the teaming disciples, sticking the center of his backbone.

"Oh, dear. Four of you remain~" Justin snickered, overly excited about the outcome.
