Chapter 35 - Lichard Boneface

"Grand Elder, I wish to enter the primordial tower!" Luna's voice echoed, followed by a couple of knocks.

Justin stood up, putting on the rest of his robe before leaving Amelia behind.

They have been living together since the latest incident, bringing them closer together.

He asked, "Do you wish to join her? You could refine the yin-Qi much faster."

Amelia nodded, following suit before thanking him.

Once they left the house, Justin found the three winners waiting together.

"No fighting in there, my wife will watch you. Understood?"

Justin stated, infusing his Qi into the tower before throwing it across the sky.

Suddenly, it began expanding before taking the ground as its foundation.

"Yes!" One by one, they responded before entering the tower.

Amelia kissed him goodbye and followed behind them.

She waved her hands, saying, "No worries, I will make sure they stay quiet."

'It was a joke...' Justin thought, smiling at her before turning around once she disappeared.

While his experience was far from breaking through, his title was approaching an upgrade.

Twenty-one kills were easy to manage, especially with the Fractured Dao Mausoleum making it easier.

Its existence alone was enough to attract the clueless folk.

But he had a different plan for now.

He wanted to figure out whether the creatures inside could leave or not.

Justin vanished and appeared next to the realm's entrance.

He took a look, nodding in approval before casually stepping inside.

Flying across the sky, Justin arrived at the Mausoleum, its doors opened, welcoming him.

"Hey, I'm back!" He shouted, waving his hands at the skeleton leaning on the throne.

"Oh, master. This lich is happy to see you again!" The skeleton hurled up, then bowed respectfully to Justin.

Justin spoke, asking a couple of questions.

"Tell me, lich. What is your name? And, do you wish to leave this place?"

The skeleton smiled, went down the stairs, and responded. "I have no name, master; however, I'm honored to serve you!"

"Good, good. Very good! Your job will be protecting my first wife, how's that?"

It jumped in happiness upon hearing Justin's words. But it still asked for a name.

Justin thought for a few moments.

Picking up names wasn't his favourite thing to do...

The skeleton wasn't scary to Justin; he saw it as a goofy, silly creature.

'Hmm, it's a lich... with bones... even on its face... Lich Boneface?'

'No, no, a little... dumb? Hmm, Lichard Boneface? Yep. That sounds much, much better.'

No, it didn't sound better at all; it was just his sense acting up.

"Lichard Boneface, fearful and mighty!"

Yet, he gave it that name to stop wasting his time.

"Yeeeeeeeees, master. I like my name!" It shouted in excitement, jumping like a silly child.

Justin smiled, announcing, "Enough, you are a 'he' from now on.... But first, I shall gift you more power!"

He placed his hand on the lich, activating his false bestowal.

[35,000 Chaos charges will be used to force a breakthrough. Do you wish to proceed?]

Justin felt surprised.

Did Lichard even have a cultivation to begin with? It seemed so, even though it was illogical.

Either way, he found it interesting. He asked, "What is your cultivation at, Lichard?"

"Master, I'm a first-stage Spirit Manifestation!"

Justin frowned. Why was the price five times what he used to help Elder Alex?

'It must be because he's a true immortal cultivator.' Justin thought, remembering that he forced Alex to break through using a diamond.

If the price difference was this vast, then the difference in power was easily explainable.

Either way, Justin accepted.

The chaos surged through, invading Lichard's bones. He began howling ferociously, his bones turning crimson.

Tiny spikes took form, connecting its ribcage.

Long, jagged spikes grew on his shoulders, forming sharp blades.

Two tiny flames lit his eye sockets, slowly turning into two blue, sharp, vertical eyes.

His teeth began changing, turning razor sharp, closer to a beast than a human.

The back of his skull began morphing, shifting into two sharp horns. His chaotic aura rose, crushing his surroundings.

Yet, nothing affected Justin since he was born chaotic.

"Congrats, my dear angel!" Justin grinned, clapping his hands in approval.

Lichard's change was perfect. He no longer looked like a goofy skeleton. His aura radiated majesty, matching his new cultivation and form.

The only things left were testing his power and checking whether he could enter a spirit ring.

"Get in here," Justin ordered, pointing to the ring on his finger.

Lichard nodded, turning into a flash of lightning before vanishing inside.

Justin smiled.

Great, it worked according to his plans. Lichard was considered 'dead' after all, allowing it.

Now, he needed to confirm whether Lichard could survey the outside world or not.

Justin said, "Come out if you hear me," having no better way to confirm.

Again, the crimson bolt appeared, striking the ground before him as Lichard appeared.

"Sweat! Were you able to see outside the ring?!" Justin asked, satisfied with the outcome.

"Of course, I could, my liege!"

Lichard responded, proudly raising his skull high.

With nothing else to confirm concerning that part, Justin nodded and ordered Lichard to get back inside.

He knew some fools would find trouble with him, and he didn't want Lichard to scare them.

He eventually left the realm, flying high on his sword.

"You, stop! How did you go inside?!"

As expected, someone jumped in, digging their own grave, professionally.

"Hmm? I just approached the secret realm's structure and was pulled inside. Speaking about that, why did nobody enter?"

The young man asking frowned, shaking his head in disapproval.

He shouted, "Bullshit! The secret realm is closed, hence no one can enter."

"But I entered before your eyes. Why don't you give it a try?" Justin responded, tilting his head.

He wanted to see what would happen if someone attempted to force their way inside.

"No! Just what did you find inside?! Answer and I shall spare you!"

Justin chuckled, rubbing his hands together.

He shouted, "I'm glad you've asked!"
