Shivani woke up in the evening and, seeing Jai beside her, got up from the bed and said, "Sir, you!" She had barely spoken when Jai quickly came to her side and helped her up.
Adjusting the pillows behind her back, Jai asked, "Do you need anything?"
Shivani shook her head. They began talking about different things, and Shivani narrated the events of the morning and Laxmi's story.
After a bit of hesitation, Shivani said, "Sir, after listening to Laxmi Didi's story, I feel like someone deliberately set fire to both of my father's showrooms."
Jai's face showed a flicker of nervousness as he asked, "Why do you think someone deliberately set fire to your father's showrooms?"
Without looking at him, Shivani replied, "Sir, I told you that my father had insured both showrooms with LIC."
Jai nodded. "Yes."
Shivani continued, "When I went to the LIC office to claim the insurance money, they showed me the video of the showroom. In that video, it was clearly visible that someone had intentionally cut the wires, which caused a short circuit and started the fire."
Shivani added, "Sir, it's possible that one of my father's enemies set that fire on purpose. Can you investigate and find out who did it?"
Listening to Shivani's words, Jai thought to himself, I am really very sorry, Shivani. I can never tell you the truth—that I was the one who set fire to your father's showroom.
He was still lost in his thoughts when Shivani's voice broke his silence. "What happened, Sir?"
Jai shook his head. "Nothing." He then reassured her, "Don't worry. I'll ask my men to investigate the incident at the showroom."
About a week later, Jai told Shivani that the fire in the showroom was caused by a short circuit. Time passed slowly. After Hansika left, Aman began living with Jai, Shivani, and Aditya at the villa upon their request. Aditya started calling Aman "Bhaiya" and even stayed in the same room with him.
Three months had now passed since Shivani's pregnancy. Jai took her to the hospital for a regular check-up. After examining her, the doctor said, "Mr. Singhania, you should take your wife out of the city for a few days."
Jai asked in surprise, "Is there any problem?"
The doctor replied, "It's nothing major. The pollution in Delhi has increased so much that your wife's oxygen levels have decreased. Because of this, her breathing rate has slowed down a bit. That's why it would be good for her to spend some time at a hill station, so her oxygen levels can improve. Everything else is normal."
Jai asked, "Doctor, is it safe for Shivani to travel in this condition?"
The doctor nodded. "Yes, absolutely. I told you, it's just the oxygen levels. Everything else is fine."
Jai then asked, "Can I take her out of the country?"
The doctor replied, "Yes, you can."
After clearing all his doubts with the doctor, Jai brought Shivani back to the villa.
Evening at the Villa
All the servants were busy packing for Jai, Shivani, Aditya, and Aman. Shivani softly asked Jai, who was working on his laptop, "Sir, are you going somewhere?"
Hearing her, Jai looked up from his laptop and said, "Yes, not just me—we are all going."
Shivani asked in surprise, "All of us?"
Jai replied, "Yes, all of us. Me, you, Aman, and Aditya."
"But where?" Shivani asked, still surprised.
"We are going to London," Jai said casually. "And we are leaving in an hour. Get ready." Saying this, he returned to his work.
Shivani went to the washroom to freshen up. After that, she went to the closet and picked out a yellow saree to wear. A little while later, she came out dressed in the saree but found that Jai was not there. She then heard the sound of water running from the washroom. Shivani sat at the dressing table, combing her hair. After brushing her hair, she applied light makeup, knowing that heavy makeup during pregnancy is not good for the baby. Besides, Shivani was never fond of makeup, but after her marriage to Jai, she had to adjust to his status. Even though Jai gave her complete freedom to live her way, she still tried to fit into his lifestyle out of gratitude.
After finishing her makeup, Shivani applied lipstick and was about to fill her hairline with vermillion (sindoor) when Jai walked in. Seeing him, she stopped. Jai came up to her, gently took the box of vermillion from her hands, took a pinch, and filled her hairline himself.
As Jai filled her hairline with sindoor, Shivani closed her eyes, and watching her, Jai's heart swelled with love. He lovingly kissed her forehead and was just about to kiss her lips when suddenly Aditya came running in, shouting, "Jima! Jipa!"
Shivani quickly opened her eyes, and Jai, startled, moved away from her. Aditya ran in and clung to Jai's legs.
