Chapter 32 - Tang San's third soul ring

With Flender leading the charge, the ragtag group from Shrek Academy ventured once again into the treacherous Star Dou Forest. This time, Tang Yin walked with an evil plan on his heart, his telepathic senses spread wide like a net, searching for suitable soul beasts for Meng Yiran and his ever-unlucky brother, Tang San.

Ahead of the group, Dai Mubai played his unofficial role of White Tiger Weedwhacker, tearing through dense undergrowth while facing a full-blown existential crisis. "Is this really what my martial soul was destined for?" he muttered, slicing yet another vine.

Suddenly, Tang Yin's senses tingled. A soul beast caught his attention—a 1,600-year-old Datura Snake, known for its potent durability and venom. "Perfect for Meng Yiran," Tang Yin mused. But just as the creature slithered close under his telepathic control, less than ten meters away… a wicked idea bloomed in his mind.

A mischievous glint sparkled in Tang Yin's eyes. He gave the Datura Snake a gentle nudge—right toward Ma Hongjun's crotch.

The snake obeyed with deadly precision.

CHOMP!

"AAAAHHHH!!!" screamed Fatty from the rear, collapsing in a flurry of limbs and agony. "MY KUN-KUN!!!"

From the shadows, Tang Hao winced. "Hiss... Poor bastard. Better make sure Tang San doesn't end up a eunuch too."

Tang Yin, completely unrepentant, snickered darkly in his heart "I never said I was a good person."

Zhao Wuji's eyes widened at the chaos behind him. With a loud yell and a flash of golden light, he activated his second soul ring—Vigorous Vajra Palm—and slammed his palm down on the wildly squirming pink Datura Snake, pinning it instantly.

Flender rushed over to his crying disciple.

"Fatty! Let teacher see your wound. Come on, let go."

Eventually, Fatty's hands unclenched. Flender took one look—and nearly fainted.

"…Master?" Fatty asked, hopeful.

Flender steeled himself and patted his back gently. "My disciple… you will never be a father in this lifetime."

"WHAT!? WUUUUUU!!!" Fatty broke down sobbing on the spot.

Dai Mubai crouched beside the weeping Fatty, placing a firm hand on his shoulder like a war buddy saying farewell.

"Fatty… I'll never forget the good times. The brothels… the cheap booze… that one shady tavern with the one-eyed waitress who might've been a man. Ah, Soto City's nightlife won't be the same without your Kun-Kun leading the charge."

"WUUUUUUUUUUU!!!" fatty fainted.

Watching the Kun-Kun funeral, Flender sighed and made a decision. "Zhao Wuji, you take the kids to hunt Tang San's soul ring. I'll take Fatty back to shrek"

Then, in an uncharacteristically graceful princess carry, Flender soared away through the treetops, clutching the sobbing Fatty like a jilted bride.

Back on the ground, Zhao Wuji cleared his throat and turned to Meng Yiran. "Come forward."

"Yes, Teacher Zhao!"

With a flick of his hand, he tossed the now limp Datura Snake at her. "This beast is ideal for your third soul ring. Kill it."

Meng Yiran didn't hesitate. With a twirl of her Serpent Cane Martial Soul, she crushed the snake's skull in one swift motion. The soul ring shimmered into existence—a rich, vibrant purple. She sat down, entered meditation, and began absorbing.

Moments later, she was done. She excitedly launched herself into Tang Yin's arms, grinning ear to ear.

Zhao Wuji asked, "What's your new ability?"

Meng Yiran stood up proudly. "Potent Poison—it emits a poisonous gas cloud from my serpent cane, perfect for large-scale area attacks. The larger the range, the more soul power it consumes."

"Nice." Zhao wuji nodded approvingly. "group attack skill"

"Alright, brats!" Zhao barked. "Let's move! Dai Mubai, resume your grass plowing"

The White Tiger sighed as he resumed slicing through foliage. "Am I the Academy's gardener now?"

Meanwhile, Tang Yin resumed scanning with his telepathy. "Heh… time to find a soul ring for Tang San. Oh, Little San… I've got something truly special for you."

And oh boy, did fate deliver.

From the nearby swamp, a shit-brown Caecilian slithered out, munching happily on beast dung. It reeked like a portable toilet after a chili festival. Yet under Tang Yin's control, it began following the group, a foul miasma trailing behind it.

Yu Xiaogang caught sight of the revolting creature. His instincts screamed run. But under Tang yin's telepathic control it was useless.

"Hey stupid gorilla, That… majestic myriapoda is perfect for Tang San!"

Zhao Wuji stopped mid-stride. "…Did you just call me stupid?"

Tang Yin was surprised "Oh? You're admitting you are a gorilla?" thought in his heart.

Yu Xiaogang immediately said politely "Ahem! You misheard. I said esteemed gorilla. Now, please help defeat that... noble creature."

Seeing the face changing grandmaster, Zhao Wuji's veins throbbed but he grudgingly moved forward. "Are you sure this is it? It smells like someone flushed a latrine into a soul beast."

"I know what I'm doing!" Yu Xiaogang snapped. "Appearance means nothing. What matters is compatibility!"

Tang Yin called out, "Teacher Zhao, it's trying to run!"

Zhao grunted. "Fine." With a roar and a glowing palm, he crushed the Caecilian without even touching it.

Yu Xiaogang waved Tang San over. "Quickly! Kill it before it wakes up"

Tang San hesitated. "Master, I—"

Before he could finish, Tang Yin gave a telepathic nudge.

"YES MASTER!" Tang San blurted. Then he stabbed the Caecilian and prepared himself to absorb its soul ring and released his martial soul.

Moments later, a slippery, mucus-drenched horror emerged from his palm. The others stared in abject horror.

"…What is that?" Zhao Wuji gagged. "You quack! What did you do to your disciple?!"

Tang San clutched his chest nobly. "Please don't insult my master. He's always acted with my best interests in mind."

Everyone stared at the tragic duo: a filial disciple and his shameless master.

Tang Hao, still hidden in the shadows, buried his face in his hands. "I swear to the heavens, if this goes on, I might just kill Yu Xiaogang myself."

Not wasting the perfect opportunity, Tang Yin reached out and touched the hovering soul ring—subtly draining some of its soul power and altering its hue. The rich purple dulled, becoming mostly yellow.

"Oops," he muttered in his heart.

Tang san readily began absorbing the soul ring

To everyone's surprise, Tang San absorbed the soul ring in record time—just five minutes. But when he stood and released his martial soul again...

"Oh gods…" Zhu Zhuqing covered her nose.

"That's worse than before!" cried Ning Rongrong.

Zhao Wuji took two steps back pinching his nose. "Yu Xiaogang! WHAT IS THIS ABOMINATION!?"

Tang Yin smiled.

"Oh Tang San… you'll thank me later."

Tang San's Soul Ring Abilities:

1st Ring: Mucus Spit – Launches a sticky blob to make the battlefield slippery and embarrassing.

2nd Ring: Lamprey Claw – Grotesque toothed vines lash out, causing not injury but psychological trauma.

3rd Ring: Caecilian Pheromones – Emits a noxious, shit-smelling cologne that clears the battlefield… through sheer disgust.
