As Er Ming bounced deeper toward the core area of the Star Dou Forest, his massive frame crashing through the trees, Zhao Wuji and the others struggled to keep up.
Gasping for breath, Zhao Wuji finally sighed, "Haaah… that boy is far too emotional and impulsive. How can he possibly think of killing the Titan Giant Ape? That thing's over ten thousand years old—its strength could rival a hundred-thousand-year-old soul beast!"
The group fell into a gloomy silence at his words, their morale visibly sinking.
Meanwhile, Tang Yin, sensing through his telepathy that the others had given up chasing him, turned to Xiao Wu. "Bunny, Stop Er Ming for a moment," he instructed lovingly patting her head.
Er Ming snorted, annoyed, and came to a halt. He glared upward, where Tang Yin stood on his head. "What now, human? Don't stand on my head—I can't see you properly."
Xiao Wu ignored his complaint and turned to Tang Yin with a puzzled look. "So… what are you going to do now?" she asked, ears twitching. "Weren't we supposed to part ways here, like you said? Or…" —her voice softened, hopeful— "did you change your mind?"
Tang Yin winked at her playfully. "It's a secret."
Truthfully, Tang Yin had something far more devious in mind—a plan so diabolically satisfying it made him smirk just thinking about it. He wasn't simply running into the forest for a soul ring. Oh no. He wanted Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong to be thoroughly, irrevocably disgusted by Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun.
Using his telepathy, Tang Yin subtly stirred the hidden desires within those two perverts, pushing them to reveal their true nature. He didn't even need to manipulate their wills—their inner degeneracy was far worse than he imagined.
"It'll be perfect," Tang Yin thought smugly, "a moment of life and death that reveals their true nature. Haha, I'm a true genius."
Xiao Wu saw the smirk on his face and instantly knew he was up to no good again. She poked his forehead and pouted, "Tang Yin, are you really that happy to leave me? You should be thrilled— after all from now on, you'll be with Rongrong and her pretty face, Zhuqing with her, ahem, 'good assets.'"
Her tone turned resentful by the end.
Tang Yin burst out laughing. "Haha! Bunny, I'll admit, I am after their beauty—but you're my first love. Don't overthink it. You'll always be in my heart," he said, affectionately stroking her long, silky hair. After all, this was Douluo Dalu—polygamy was the norm.
While Tang Yin and Xiao Wu were busy being lovey-dovey and spreading dog food everywhere, things weren't going so well for Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong.
The two girls—Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong—found themselves on the receiving end of something so vile it made their skin crawl.
They were being shamelessly ogled by none other than Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun, who were leering at them like starving wolves eyeing fresh meat. Their grins were grotesque, stretched wide with lust, and their eyes… well, their eyes practically undressed the girls on the spot.
To make matters worse, the perverts even had the gall to whistle every now and then, as if they were catcalling in the middle of a brothel. And if that wasn't enough, they were subtly—no, blatantly—touching themselves like they'd forgotten they were in public…
Oscar, watching the two with a stunned expression, felt his brain short-circuit. Sure, he knew they were perverts, but even he didn't think they'd be this shameless in the middle of a life-threatening situation.
Back with Zhao Wuji, the short man had long stopped chasing Tang Yin and now simply waited in the outskirts to regroup with the students. He could only hope Tang Yin wouldn't get himself killed—though, honestly, he didn't have high hopes.
When Zhao Wuji saw the lecherous expressions on Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun, his face turned dark. "You lustful bastards!" he roared. With a single swing of his massive fist, he cracked both of their skulls in one clean punch.
Oscar winced and stepped far away from them. "Yeah… I'm not going near those two ever again. Bad influence"
Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong, thoroughly disgusted, stared coldly at the fallen duo. Disgust rolled off them in waves as they stared down at the pitiful duo sprawled on the ground.
Their hearts sank—
So this was it. Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun, their so-called "teammates," were nothing more than wolves in sheep's clothing. The masks they wore—charming smiles, noble posturing—had been torn clean off, revealing nothing but raw, greasy lust beneath.
"Never again," Rongrong muttered, arms crossed, lips curled in disdain.
"They're dead to me," Zhu Zhuqing replied flatly, as if issuing a final sentence.
But unfortunately, collateral damage had a name—and it was Oscar.
The poor guy hadn't done anything wrong, yet now he was lumped in with the other two degenerates like some kind of pervy trio package deal. The look of horror on his face was priceless as realization dawned that he, too, had been downgraded to "creep by association."
"H-Hey, I didn't do anything!" Oscar protested, panicking.
But it was no use. The collective judgment of woman logic had spoken—and Oscar was guilty until proven saint.
"Women's brains work in mysterious ways," he muttered to himself, quietly inching away from the blast zone like a man dodging landmines.
Compared to their revolting behavior, Tang Yin's self-sacrificing actions for Xiao wu felt downright noble and romantic in the eyes of the duo.
Back in the deeper part of the forest, Tang Yin and Xiao Wu were sharing a passionate kiss, while Er Ming stood awkwardly nearby, force-fed by an overwhelming wave of dog food.
Tang Yin gently pulled away and whispered, "Xiao Wu… this is only a temporary goodbye. I'll come find you. Take care of yourself."
Xiao Wu's eyes shimmered with unshed tears. "You too, Tang Yin. Don't forget me."
With that, she left with Er Ming, who tossed one last grumpy glare at Tang Yin before disappearing into the shadows.
Tang Yin immediately turned serious. With telepathy, he began scanning the forest for his main target—the infamous Man-Faced Demon Spider, the same beast that once provided Tang San's third soul ring. He didn't hesitate to kill any millennia-old soul beasts in his way and drained their soul ring energy with energy absorption.
After six hours of relentless hunting, he finally found it—a 2,100-year-old Man-Faced Demon Spider emerging from the shadows. The creature was horrifying. Its segmented, chitinous exoskeleton gleamed wet with venom. Its long, bladed legs twitched like drawn scythes. But the worst part? That twisted human face embedded in its abdomen—pale, wrinkled, with glowing yellow eyes and a mocking, fanged grin.
Tang Yin grimaced. "Disgusting."
He didn't give the creature a second to move. Using a blast of pure telepathic force, he shattered the spider's consciousness and erased its will. Then, without hesitation, he injected it with absorbed soul ring energy, accelerating its age to just under 9,500 years.
The beast's body expanded grotesquely, becoming even more monstrous in size and shape—but Tang Yin was ready. He immediately sacrificed the spider to himself, absorbing it as his third soul ring.
A divine light erupted from the center of the forest, a deep purple soul ring glowing brilliantly around Tang Yin for less than a minute before vanishing.
Suddenly, Tang Yin felt a strange tingling crawl up his spine, like a thousand icy needles dancing along his vertebrae. But just as quickly as it came, the sensation vanished—snuffed out by his fast healing factor and constant energy absorption.
"Ah… so it's fusing already," he murmured, eyes gleaming. Tang yin knew this was the fusion of external soul bone so he wasn't worried but he was surprised to find that it didn't hurt at all.
That's when it hit him—the sacrificed Man-Faced Demon Spider hadn't just been compatible with its soul ring, it had perfect synergy with its soul bone, as if tailored for himself.
A slow grin spread across his face.
Tang yin was really happy as he didn't have to bear heart wrenching pain like Tang san.
After fusion. Not wasting any time, Tang Yin didn't stick around to admire his soul ring & soul bone. The energy spike that the sacrifice unleashed was enough to wake a sleeping beast or draw out something even worse from the depths of Star Dou Forest.
After all, the Waters in star duo forest were quite deep
