The office was quiet. Too quiet.
Hana stood across from her lawyer, fingers gripping the armrest of the chair.
"You want to challenge the terms?" he asked, eyes flicking to the file in front of him.
"I want to enforce them," she corrected, her voice like steel wrapped in velvet. "The assets were left in my name. They've been stolen under the table. It's time I take back what's mine."
Across the city, at a rooftop bar where secrets dressed in suits and drank top-shelf whiskey, Min Jae leaned back in his chair.
"She's finally making her move," he muttered.
The man across from him, Kang Woo, smirked. "So she knows."
Min Jae's jaw tightened. "We underestimated her."
Kang Woo took a sip. "She was never weak. Just sleeping."
Later that night, Mi-Ho met Hana at the private greenhouse behind the Kim estate.
She stood near the orchids, hands in her coat pockets.
"You're going to war," he said, no judgment in his tone.
"I'm claiming what's mine," she replied. "For once, I'm not waiting for someone to save me."
He stepped closer. "Then let me be your shield."
She shook her head. "No. I need you to be my witness. Not my savior."
Mi-Ho didn't argue. He just nodded, respect blooming in his eyes.
The next morning, Hana sent legal notices to all three men who had been siphoning her inheritance.
She didn't wait for permission.
She didn't wait for them to play fair.
