Teddy stared at Thalindra for a few seconds. His mind racing. Memories from past lives blur together with his current life.
"I think that a war between mankind and deamons will break out soon. I'm not sure if it's weeks, months, or even a year, but it's going to happen."
Teddy then told Thalindra all he had experienced with deamons up till now. Even his short fight with the Undertaker Spectre.
Thalindra didn't look surprised at what happened only that it had happened to Teddy. Teddy noticed this expression.
"Don't tell me you have had experiences like this before?"
Thalindra shook her head.
"No. I have only read about them from the archives."
Teddy said to himself, "Good. She hasn't had any memories of past lives. Neither is she an ancient being. This is a good sign thus far."
What Teddy said aloud was, "Do you know if your sect had any run-ins with deamons?"
Thalindra nodded.
"I read the same books you did."
She pointed at a book next to Teddy as she continued saying, "I read that book and the others from the same section that one came from. So naturally I know of the three wars and I know that the Moonlight Glade is an ancient sect. Thus I would assume that we have had run-ins before."
Again, Teddy said to himself, "Either she is honest and doesn't really know the true history of the Moonlight Glade or she is just trying to deceive me. If it's the first one then that's fine but if it is the second then only the senior most leaders knows the truth. After all, it's obvious that Mirella and Seraphine had no clue of the sect's past."
What he actually said aloud was, "That's fair. So what's next with the Moonlight Glade?"
Thalindra was very carefully not to give away too much information. Something about Teddy's new attitude didn't sit well with her.
It was like he was privy to some information that even she didn't know. Almost like he remembered something.
But that's impossible. From what Mirella and Seraphine told her, Teddy had been locked away in a cave since he was eight with no contact to the outside world.
So she dismissed this and decided only to be cautious with what she said.
"We need to prepare for the arrival of the Deamon Lords."
Teddy knew what she meant by this. The question is how will he get her to admit to what he already knows.
"How will you prepare?"
This is the moment of truth. Will she lie, tell the truth, or give a non answer.
"To tell the truth, I have no idea. I must consult my elders for answers."
Teddy could tell she was telling the truth. The problem is he remembered vividly how in a past life he was killed by this woman.
Now he is sure that she is the reincarnation of her past self and not the same version that killed him.
Teddy nodded but didn't say another word. He, Seraphine, and Mirella left the temple. They got a hotel room for the night and tomorrow, they'll head to the warehouse.
Seraphine had noticed Teddy's line of questions earlier was trying to lead Thalindra into a specific direction. She knew he was fishing for something.
"Teddy, what were those questions about earlier back in the temple?"
Teddy pondered for a minute if he should divulge what he currently knows. After considering what to say, Teddy began to answer.
"I had visions of past lives hit me all at once. That's why I fainted. When I woke up, I only remembered fractions of all my past lives but every memory is important in one way or another. I don't know how they are important but I do know that they are."
Mirella looked puzzled but said nothing, just lessened.
"So my line of questions was focused to see if Thalindra was a reincarnation of herself or the same person who killed me in my last life."
Both ladies gasped in shock. Thalindra killed Teddy in a past life? But why? What Teddy said next answered this.
"You see, the Moonlight Glade is an ancient sect going back before time. They along side with the Nightshade Priest had ushered in a time of war with deamons. The this war was called the First War of the Realms. There have been three total. All started because these two sects had bent the knee to deamons."
Mirella and Seraphine didn't like what they were hearing about their own sect. However, they knew Teddy would never lie to them. At least about something like this he wouldn't.
After a few minutes, Seraphine was the one to speak.
"From this point on I renounce my place within the Moonlight Glade."
As soon as she said these words a black light shined out from her body. Then a black figure left her body and took off in a random direction.
Mirella then repeated the same words and the same thing happened to her.
Teddy thought his eyes were deceiving him. But then this made sense. As he dual cultivated with the two women, something always felt off. He felt darkness that shouldn't have been there given how good these two women were.
Then he remembered something from one of his past lives. Good women would be deceived to join the Moonlight Glade and when the war started, their minds would be lost and their bodies taken over by deamons.
It appears the deamons were always there. They just remained dormant collecting the spiritual energy that the women collected from dual cultivation.
Now things started to make sense to Teddy.
Also these two women gave up their sect just because of what it stood for. This meant that they were truly good women.
Mirella smiled and said, "The Moonlight Glade is not worth loosing you. Besides, the side their on doesn't fit in with my views. I can't be in an organization like theirs."
Seraphine agree as well. Well at least Teddy shouldn't have problems getting the two women to create a new sect with him.
"Mirella, Seraphine, how about we form our own sect?"
Both ladies thought for a moment on this. It sounded like a really good idea. The only question is would they be at odds with their old sect.
What they have found out already about the Moonlight Glade, their old sect would have known by now that they broke their vows to them.
If they were to go and create a whole new sect with Teddy, this would definitely enrage the upper echelon of the Moonlight Glade. The last thing they need is to make enemies right now.
However forming a new sect with Teddy could strengthen their bonds with him. Seraphine spoke first.
"If you were to form a sect with you, wouldn't I guarantee for you to be enemies with the Moonlight Glade?"
Teddy smiled and said, "I'm already enemies with them, they just don't know it yet. In the past they were always on the side of darkness. I was always on side of light. Thus the Moonlight Glade and myself have always been enemies."
Mirella said, "I think it's a good idea. But how we set up the ranking system?"
Teddy was waiting for this question. He was surprised that it was Mirella that asked it and not Seraphine. However this was within reason anyways.
"For now I figured we could have four rankings. The first would be grandmaster. The three of us would be the grandmasters of the sect. Next would be the master. This would comprise of most of the leadership within the sect. Next would be the regular members. These guys will be broken up into their roles within the sect. These roles could be like sentinels, clerks, sages, an operatives. The lowest level we could call either an acolyte or an apprentice. What do you think?
The ladies were shocked. Apparently he has been making this plan for a while. They didn't know what to say for a minute. Finally Seraphine spoke up.
"This sounds good and obviously you have been planning for quite some time."
Teddy began to blush sheepishly as she continued.
"My only question is what kind of cultivation are we going to go with? Obviously with Mirella and myself breaking our vows to the Moonlight Glade, we have lost our cultivation base."
This was a problem that Teddy figured would happen. As soon as he got a glimpse of a memory from his past life, he knew that if these two women were to follow him, they probably would lose their cultivation base.
Luckily, his Devine Heavenly Cultivation Arts is one of the highest of the heavenly cultivation arts. As such one of the abilities of this cultivation art is to create lesser sub classes of the cultivation art.
What this means is these cultivation techniques that he could develop would be slightly inferior to his own. However it would only be slightly inferior. That means any cultivation art that he develops for his subordinates would still be superior to most.
Teddy had anticipated that he might need to pass on a cultivation art. So he had been working on one. He decided to call it the Devine Light Cultivation Arts.
