"What was that, guy?"
"He seemed to dealt with those robots easily, seeing how he used his string-based Quirk to save us and disemboweled that monster."
"No way!"
"But it doesn't look like he gained anything from doing so."
"Anyway, there's no mistaking that he's an amazing fatso."
A short old woman wearing a white trench coat surged out from nowhere. "Okay, okay, good work."
"Who's that granny?"
"That mademoiselle… is the backbone of U.A."
The old lady shared some gummies with the examinees who had minor injuries, making her way to Shin, who had fallen unconscious.
"What the hell is that old lady about to do?"
The old lady stood beside Shin, a smile creeping onto her face as she kissed his head. "Smooooch!"
"Old lady!!"
"What was that just now? Did she just kiss him?"
"U.A. High's licensed school nurse… the youthful Heroine, Recovery Girl!"
Suddenly, green light glowed all over Shin's body as his injuries began closing up instantly, leaving him fresh as new.
"Her Quirk is the super-activation of healing ability. U.A. can only go through such ridiculous and reckless entrance exams because of her."
"Let's get this over with as soon as possible,"** The Recovery Girl said. "Is anyone else still wounded?"
"No, we're okay!"

BACK AT THE CONTROL ROOM
"Did you see that, Principal Nezu?" Yagi said, pointing at the monitor replaying the scenes from the exam.
"Bald, chubby, and with that, he's fast… perhaps more… combat-ready." Nezu mused. "The single step… feels like an impossible journey. And I believe… once someone takes that unlikely step and carves a path… the ultimate hero rises up. One who will surpass even Yagi. Yes, even All Might himself."
"Isn't that too sudden?" Cementoss commented, staring at the screen. "To surpass the number one hero, huh? He's gonna need more than that."
"We'll get to see that when he's admitted into U.A. and, likely, at the Sports Festival."* All Might hummed, staring at the screen in his hero form.
"Such a lovely boy. I'm going to get my hands on him. Shin Nakamura, huh?" Midnight purred, clenching her fists together.
"Besides that, don't you think we just witnessed him doing what the other student couldn't?" Vlad King gestured at the screen.
"Good question. He demonstrated his Quirk, which I'd say is perhaps string-based. He's definitely talented—or he's undergone some kind of harsh training—to properly use his Quirk to slice up all the robots in his way. He also planned and created a trap to defeat the robots.." Ectoplasm muttered.
"Hehehe, we'll find out when he's fully admitted." Nezu, the principal of U.A. High School, a small, scout-like creature who appeared to be a possible combination of several different animals, including a dog, a mouse, and a bear—making him a chimera.
He had the head of a mouse with circular black eyes and a larger scar over the right one. His fur was white, and he had large, dog-like paws with pink pads and a thin tail like that of a cat.
"That aside, this year had a lot of kids with potential," All Might muttered. "For example, this kid with blonde, spiky hair and red, dazzling eyes… and also Endeavor's son."
"Katsuki Bakugou and Enji Todoroki. Both are very talented young kids with lots of potential."
"Endeavor's son, huh? The one who inherited both his mother's and father's Quirks—fire and ice. And then there's Bakugou, who manifests a Quirk called Explosion."
"Bakugou—a fierce and combative type with extremely high-powered explosions." All Might clenched his fist with pride. 'Young Midoriya, it won't be easy for you. You've got so many rivals to beat.'
The room was filled with light and tension. Each and every one of the U.A teachers inside the control room were witnessing something called 'Greatness.' All Might stood up from his seat and left the control room to meet up with Young Midoriya, his successor.
With time, the teachers left the control room, leaving only Nezu, the principal, who stayed and rewound the fight scenes from each of the examinees, studying their heroic actions.
Nezu hopped out of the chair he was sitting on, casually turning off the monitors before exiting the room and heading to his office.

ONE WEEK LATER
A week has passed since the U.A. entrance exam, but the results still hadn't been released. Shin sipped his tea from his favorite black cup while lifting a 10kg weight with his right hand.
He checked his mail frequently, but there was nothing from the U.A. High School yet. Thoughts of failing the exam—of never receiving a letter—flashed through his mind, but he shook them off.
"Let's wait some more." He whispered to himself before dropping the weight, picking up the remote, and turning on the TV in the living room.
He switched from the news station to an entertainment channel. "Need some milk." He poured himself a glass before hopping onto the couch.
He placed his smartphone on the table nearby and laughed aloud at the show he was watching.
Footsteps echoed from upstairs—probably his parents and kid sister, who had been waiting all week for the results.
"Oh, thought you'd be in your room, Shin." His dad spoke.
"Nah, figured I should ease my mind, so I chose to watch a movie."
"So, what's up?" His mom asked, setting Rika down as she crawled toward her big brother.
"Sup, Rika." Shin smiled, lifting her onto the couch beside him.
"So?"
"Sorry, Mom. The results haven't come out yet. Some might've gotten theirs, but I haven't received anything from the U.A."
"Is that so? Well, let's hope yours arrives soon. Keep praying."
"I already know I won't fail."
"That's my son. Let's watch together and wait for the good news."
Nakamura and Sakura settled onto the nearest couch, joining Shin as they watched the movie together as a family.
After a few hours of movies, the doorbell rang twice. Nakamura and Sakura slid the door open to find a well-dressed man in a blue suit.
"Is this the Nakamura household?" the man asked respectfully.
"Yes. How can we help you, sir?"
"This is for Shin Nakamura." The man handed over a brown envelope, bowed, and took his leave.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Sakura asked her husband.
"Definitely!"
They hurried inside, faces lit with excitement.
"Shin! It's here! Your U.A. result!"
With joy, Shin leaped from his seat, heart racing with fear and excitement. He swallowed hard, sweat trickling down his brow. It was time to learn whether he'd qualified to be a hero or not.
He took the envelope from his dad. "Mom, Dad, Rika… it's finally time."
"Dear God, let it be good news."His mom clasped her hands.
They all settled in the living room, ready to learn the outcome of Shin's future. He took a deep breath, ripped open the brown envelope, and found a white one inside.
On the count of three, he tore it open—revealing a small, round metal device. "Huh?"
"Wha—" The device lit up, projecting an image of All Might in a brown suit.
"All Might?!" They exclaimed in shock.
"Why is All Might coming out of this instead of my results?" Shin's eyes widened as the projection loomed large.
"I am here as a projection!" All Might struck a pose. "Actually, I came to this town to work at U.A."
"Ehh? All Might, working at U.A. High School? Unbelievable!" Sakura gasped, feeding Rika warm water.
"Young Shin, you scored the highest—87 villain points, followed by young Bakugou with 77!" All Might gave a thumbs-up. The entrance exam wasn't graded on villain points alone! Rescue points mattered too, and you proved yourself by risking your life to save others. You pass! Come, Young Shin… this is your hero academia!"
With a bright smile, the projection ended, leaving Shin and his parents in tears.
"M-Mom…"
"Yes, son. You did it."
"You made it into the U.A. High School, Shin."
"I-I did it, Rika."
His parents hugged him tightly, tears of joy streaming down their faces as they celebrated his future.
Shin wiped his eyes, grabbed his phone, and dialed his junior high friends—the ones who'd believed he'd pass.
After a small celebration at home, he rushed to his room, showered, and prepared to go out with his friends for a victory party…
"It's getting interesting."
