Chapter 15 - Players Position 1.

Though there seemed to be rewards waiting for him after levelling up, But Mystic wasn't too concerned about checking them just yet.

His priority was getting his team in order, he called over one of the staff members to bring him a tactical notebook and a pen, and he instructed another to take the players around and also fetch their training vests in the locker room, as training would begin immediately.

Fortunately, with the bot names visible above their heads, it was easy for him to call them out without appearing strange to his players.

The signing process had happened so fast that Alfred, still trying to process how quickly things had unfolded, as he simply took a seat by the dugout, quietly observing the team and Mystic getting into boss mode.

Meanwhile, the newly signed players followed the staff member Mystic had assigned to guide them on a tour of the training facility, until their tour ended at the locker room, where the training vests awaited them.

Mystic had already told them to gear up quickly, as team training would begin soon, as they had a friendly match scheduled in seven days.

While the players showered and changed into their vests, Mystic stood outside, checking his status tab.

The previously empty player slot now showed "11," reflecting the number of players who had signed with him.

He let out a quiet sigh, planning to question his AI system bot later about the parts he still didn't understand, for now, he focused on putting the players through the system's listed daily activities, which would earn him player coins.

Until now, he hadn't been able to accumulate any because he had no players, but now that he did, he was ready to work them hard.

By evening, the atmosphere had shifted. The team had begun learning each other's names, and the sense of unfamiliarity among them had faded.

Even Alfred, who had been skeptical at first, no longer doubted the boys' talents, still, he couldn't shake the belief that starting a full team with only youngsters was too risky, because despite their potential, their inexperience was obvious even to him.

But Mystic didn't care at all, he put them through the system's daily training, which quickly began to feel like a mini-hell for the players, it all started lightly enough with jogging and agility drills but the intensity grew as Mystic barked orders and pushed them into tougher routines.

They were granted a one-hour break at noon and made their way to the Nutrition Nook for lunch, though the servings weren't much, but the bot-prepared meals strangely revitalized them, leaving them fully recharged.

Afterward, Mystic called them into the locker room for a thirty-minute tactical session.

There, he laid out his preferred formation: 4-5-1. He detailed how he wanted the team to shift during games, each player's role within the shape, and the decisions they'd need to make on the pitch, as everyone listened closely.

Training resumed with skill drills and then ended in a five-versus-five small-sided game, with Kado, the goalkeeper, sitting that part out.

Instead, Mystic designed a separate training routine for Kado on the main pitch, using the facility's staff bots, originally tasked with setting up cones, Mystic discovered they could also help out with the players training so he assigned them to help with Kado goalkeeper training too.

The bots fired shots even had preset difficulty levels, but since the facility was still at Bronze Rank, the challenges capped at Bronze Level 1. Kado clearly wasn't ready for that, so Mystic adjusted the setting down to Normal Level 5.

Meanwhile, Mystic observed the mini match on the tactical pitch, evaluating his players' sharpness, movement, and chemistry as a team.

After such a hectic day, especially for boys who had never undergone structured training before, it was no surprise they were all sprawled out on the ground, completely drained of energy.

While they panted and tried to catch their breath, Mystic decided it was time to formally address them.

"Right now, I'll call out your names and positions after one day of observing you all," Mystic said, holding a logbook in one hand.

[X: You know I can help with this—by projecting a visual screen mid-air.]

Mystic's AI assistant, X, offered its support as it noticed what Mystic was about to do, as usual, all the team heard was a jumble of mechanical gibberish, which only made them glance curiously at their coach's outdated AI device, which is widely known as a failed model.

"Do it," Mystic replied casually, unbothered by the odd looks, he didn't even bother if others felt it was weird he was talking to the Ai bot, but the moment X heard his affirmation it turned to the side, as a small lens in its eyes emitted light, and a holographic screen flickered to life in the air like a movie projector, causing the players to gasp in surprise, with their eyes lighting up.

"Kado will be our number one, that's your jersey number, by the way, goalkeeper position." Mystic announced with a slight smile.

Cheers broke out from the tired boys, everyone already knew who would guard the posts, but hearing it officially still brought excitement, they clapped and smacked Kado's body as a show of support.

On the screen, the "Goalkeeper" section appeared underlined, with "Kado" written beneath it.

Kado wasn't particularly tall, but his flexibility and incredible reflexes more than made up for it, he had a knack for reading the ball's direction, and Mystic remembered exactly how good he was in his past life, which was one of the key reasons he had gone after him.

The only minor issue is? Like many legendary Nigerian goalkeepers, Kado had a distinctive "ogor"—a term for a pronounced head shape, but rather than detract from his look, it added flair to his presence between the posts.
